K.H.D. dan Tagore mempunjai hubungan sebagai teman jang dipupuk o!eh adanja saling harga menghargai.2) Venerated as a pioneer of independence, education and national culture in Indonesia, Ki Hadjar Dewantara merits to be better known abroad. After having recalled the major moments in the life, action and thought of the father of the Taman Siswa. Bénédicte Milcent gives us a translation of four lesser-known texts. "The Partnership of East and West" must be situated in the colonial context of 1929 where Dutch served almost exclusively as the link for all contact with the outside world. In the following article "Cultural Relations between Indonesia and other Countries", concerning the same theme, the author declares his enthusiastic support for cultural exchanges, provided that they are founded on the principal of parity. After an interesting text on oriental music, the article ends with "Our Relations with Rabindranath Tagore", who had with Ki Hadjar Dewantara a warm relationship nourished by mutual admiration.Milcent Bénédicte. Lagrangian sharp interface schemes for multimaterials
We present multi-material simulations in the Lagrangian framework. The methods employed are based on classical Godunov-like methods that are adapted to treat the case of interfaces separating different materials. In the models considered the gas, liquids or elastic materials are described by specific constitutive laws, but the governing equations are the same. Examples of gas-gas and elastic-elastic material interactions are presented
Accurate Sharp Interface Scheme for Multimaterials
We present a method to capture the evolution of a contact discontinuity separating two different material. A locally non-conservative scheme allows an accurate and stable simulation while the interface is kept sharp. Numerical illustrations include problems involving fluid and elastic problems
Eulerian Scheme for 3D multimaterials
This paper is devoted to the 3D extension of a sharp interface multimaterial method. We present preliminary results for 3D stiff cases of shock air/helium/water interaction and impacts of projectiles on elastic bodies immersed in air

Healthcare access for migrants in China : A new frontier
How can healthcare access for Chinese migrants be improved? Migrant workers face two types of healthcare-access exclusion in the workplace: a financial one (via income) and a legislative one (from the "hukou"). We use 2006 data from a survey of rural migrant workers conducted in five of the most economically-advanced cities. We estimate a fixed-effect probit model, and control for the non-exogeneity of health insurance. The empirical findings support the hypothesis of a return to the hometown for migrant workers with poor health. Apart from residency permits and income, the social integration of migrant workers is also found to be a decisive factor in healthcare access. Policies tackling migrant healthcare exclusion should thus involve organisations working at the local level, such as residents' committees.healthcare access - health insurance - social capital - China - migrants
Modeling and simulation of compressible multi-material interface instabilities
This work was partially funded by the DGA.We aim to simulate the interactions at the material interface of two compressible media. These interactions are modeled by a single fully Eulerian system of conservation laws. The materials differ by their constitutive laws, that can reproduce the mechanical characteristics of fluids or elastic solid. We illustrate the model with simulations of shock waves impinging on undulated interfaces, generating instabilities such as Richtmyer-Meshkov instabilities
An Eulerian method for fluid-structure coupling with biophysical applications
An eulerian approach for fluid-structure coupling is presented for generic fluid-structure coupling an elastic body with an incompressible fluid. Fluid-solid interfaces are captured by a level-set method. The main features of the method are its simplicity, and its natural control of mass and energy. We are indeed able to prove an energy equation which ensures in particular that the regularization of the force does not involve any energy dissipation. Applications to membranes oscillation and cardiomyocyte contraction are presented
Innovative procedures: the key factor for hospital performance
The role of innovative procedures in the mortality differences between university, non-teaching public and for-profit hospitals is investigated using a French exhaustive administrative dataset on patients admitted for heart attack. Mortality is roughly similar in the three types of hospitals after controlling for case-mix. For-profit hospitals treat the at-risk oldest patients more often with innovative procedures. Therefore, additionnally controlling for innovative procedures makes them having the highest mortality rate. Non-teaching public hospitals end up having the lowest mortality rate.Hospital performance ; Innovative procedures ; Stratified duration model
A simple Cartesian scheme for compressible multimaterials
We present a simple numerical method to simulate the interaction of two non-miscible compressible materials separated by an interface. The media considered may have significantly different physical properties and constitutive laws, describing for example fluids or hyperelastic solids. The model is fully Eulerian and the scheme is the same for all materials. We show stiff numerical illustrations in case of gas–gas, gas–water, gas–elastic solid interactions in the large deformation regime. This study has been carried out with financial support from the French State, managed by the French National Research Agency (ANR) in the frame of the “Investments for the future” Programme IdEx Bordeaux (ANR-10-IDEX-03-02), Cluster of excellence CPU
