    This paper tries to bring out the literary trends of Odia literature from nineteenth century to the last part of twentieth century. With reference to the long literary passage of some 175 years attempts have been made to introduce Guruprasad Mohanty and churn out the specialty by the by of his poetry. How the passage runs, with what level of frequency and with what newness all these things are discussed here in this article. What was the need of the modern literature and why it is so everything in this regard has been discussed along with various proofs. The real and underneath reasons of complexity of this post independence literature or the attitude and nature of this literature especially poetry are brought out here. Especially, here efforts have been taken to differentiate between the pre independence and post independence literature. Again, in one of the sections, there is a sketch of influences, inspirations and impacts of T.S. Eliot, his life, literature, philosophy, style and personal doctrines. Further, how he has influences Guruprasad Mohanty has also been discussed with ample examples. Overall an assessment has been made on the originality of Guruprasad's literature as well of the attempts of some other contemporary poets of this period.     Adaptor protein complexes-1 and 3 are involved at distinct stages of flavivirus life-cycle

    Intracellular protein trafficking pathways are hijacked by viruses at various stages of viral life-cycle. Heterotetrameric adaptor protein complexes (APs) mediate vesicular trafficking at distinct intracellular sites and are essential for maintaining the organellar homeostasis. In the present study, we studied the effect of AP-1 and AP-3 deficiency on flavivirus infection in cells functionally lacking these proteins. We show that AP-1 and AP-3 participate in flavivirus life-cycle at distinct stages. AP-3-deficient cells showed delay in initiation of Japanese encephalitis virus and dengue virus RNA replication, which resulted in reduction of infectious virus production. AP-3 was found to colocalize with RNA replication compartments in infected wild-type cells. AP-1 deficiency affected later stages of dengue virus infection where increased intracellular accumulation of infectious virus was observed. Therefore, our results propose a novel role for AP-1 and AP-3 at distinct stages of infection of some of the RNA viruses.vaccine research innovation award; Department of Biotechnolog

    Post-Independence Political Context of Odisha as The Milieu of Guruprasad Mohanty’s Kaalapurusha

    Here, attempts have been taken to focus on the post-independence political state of Odisha as the milieucum-stimulus of the legendry poem Kaalapurusha written by Guruprasad Mohanty. Though he had written this poem under the influence of The Waste Land of T.S. Eliot, the best ever poem of twentieth century still it is true that every writer is present in his every work. With these words of Hugo, we can draw a conclusion that Guruprasad during the translation of The Waste Land has unconsciously or consciously put himself into the beaker with the anabolic reaction for forming the poem and stirred thoroughly to mix well during its genesis. This implies that the poem Kaalapurusha has been manufactured with the blood and flesh of the poet; his time and environment. Again, the most momentous environmental factor of the poem is the socio-political factor for which we see certain active genetic behaviors are there in it. The typical behaviors of the characters may be traced in this light. Being political by nature and since we are born to be political beings the attitude and influence both will be there in a literary creation.

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Phosphorus Doped MoS2 Nanosheet Promoted with Nitrogen, Sulfur Dual Doped Reduced Graphene Oxide as an Effective Electrocatalyst for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

    Highly efficient, cost-effective, and stable non-noble metal electrocatalysts are desirable for cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, crystal defects were created in MoS2 with the substitution of P dopants in order to catalyze HER effectively. Performance of MoS2 in electrocatalytic HER is poor in terms of high onset potential and overpotential due to poor intrinsic conductivity. The issue regarding conductivity and reducing onset potential as well as overpotential can be addressed by low electronegative element P substitution into the S sites of MoS2 and incorporating additionally dual heteroatom atom (nitrogen, sulfur) doped reduced graphene oxide (rGO). Synergistic effect of phosphorus doping into the S sites of MoS2 along with N,S-rGO greatly enhances the HER which is comparable to Pt/C with Tafel of 47 mV dec-1 and low overpotential of 105 mV at 20 mA cm-2.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Stochastic flexural buckling response of thin-walled composite strips

    Thin-walled composite structures are susceptible to undergo buckling leading to undesirable structural integrity problems. This paper proposes an efficient modeling approach for determining the axial critical buckling load-carrying capacities of thin-walled composite strips. Taking advantage of the inherent geometrical features of a strip, it is modeled as a one-dimensional structure. The reduced one-dimensional (1D) strip model is developed by using the Variational Asymptotic Method (VAM). In this mathematical framework, the original 3D problem is separated into a 2D cross-section and a 1D problem along the span of the strip. Although the methodology readily provides 2D nonlinear cross-sectional stiffness, in this work we have restricted the analysis to only a linear problem. While the cross-sectional stiffness is determined analytically, the 1D prob lem is solved numerically to determine the critical buckling load using the finite element method. The buckling load results obtained from this model are validated with analytical and experimental results reported in the literature. The proposed model in this paper takes into account the non-classical parameters of the composite strip due to its inherent structural coupling properties, anisotropy, and complex geometrical attributes. Detailed parametric studies have been carried out to investigate the influence of the boundary conditions, ply angle variations, and different aspect ratios of the composite strips. The methodology is then extended to take into consideration the stochastic effects due to uncertain material proper ties at the constituent levels. The influence of these uncertainties is presented in the form of stochastic distribution of buckling load by adopting a probabilistic modeling approach. The stochastic response of delaminated composite strips is also analyzed. The stochastic distribution shows a wider response bound of critical buckling load. The presented study on the buckling behavior of healthy and delaminated thin-walled rectangular cross-section composite strips facilitates an exploration of structural stability in the presence of intricate geometric characteristics and variable material properties inherent to these composite strips
