Full text linkFilip Spannbrucker Filip Spannbrucker, česká barokní architektura, hrabě František Josef Schlik, Jean Baptiste Mathey, Jičínsko The main aim of this thesis is to present the life and work of Filip Spannbrucker (approximately 1672?1729), Prague architect and builder, in the context of contemporary artistic and social course of events. In the first part of this work there will be outlined Spannbrucker's life and professional career based on elaborate archival research. Special attention will be devoted to proprietors and a patronage of building projects wherein Spannbrucker participated or whereof was an author. In the connection, his work will be brought in contiguity of contemporaneous cultural, socioeconomical and aesthetical notions and relations. In the second part of this thesis there will be pointed out a characteristic and spring of inspiration of Spannbrucker's architecture by means of an accurate formal analysis. Pavel Ježek, Department of Distributed and Dependable Systems Abstract: The main objective of this project was to create a multiplatform modular system for distributed data management. The system supports both local and remote accessible data storage. Therefore a part of the solution is also a server for remote data access. System also provides parallel usage of a local and remote storage which guarantees that the storage is accessible also when connection to server is lost. In this case, system is capable to synchronize changes between the server and a client. A client can use multiple instances of his storage and our system is able to synchronize them through central server. The system provides abstraction over data model to separate plugin developers from its specific behavior. As practical preview of system usability was created an extension application called TuaLoca. The application will contain implementation of preview plugins and basic user interaction. Full text linkThe article is an analysis of three works by Filip Kallimach (Filippo Buonaccorsi) regarding marriage (elegy XXII, Epithalamium Fanniae ac Musaei, carmen Ad se ipsum). In the collections of Roman elegies from the Augustian era, there are no wedding pieces. The source of Callimachus’ idea is found by the author of the article in Epithalamium in Stellam et Violentillam by P. Papinius Statius and, indirectly, through the epithalamium of Statius – in the unpreserved elegies of L. Seminoma with Retroperitoneal Metastasis of a Different Tissue Component – Case Report
Full text linkNowotwory jąder są dominującym rozpoznaniem u mężczyzn w grupie wiekowej 15–40 lat, a zachorowalność na nie stale wzrasta. 95% to guzy germinalne, z czego 60% stanowią nienasieniaki, a 40% nasieniaki. Guzy mają mieszaną komponentę w aż 40% przypadków. Leczeniem z wyboru w każdym przypadku nowotworu jądra jest wycięcie całego jądra zajętego przez nowotwór – orchidektomia. Pięcioletnie przeżycie przy odpowiednim leczeniu wynosi ok. 97%. U 61-letniego pacjenta z epizodami kolki żółciowej w wywiadzie zaplanowano cholecystektomię laparoskopową. Śródoperacyjnie uwidoczniono masę zaotrzewnową. Odstąpiono od cholecystektomii i pobrania wycinków ze względu na podejrzenie tętniaka aorty brzusznej. W wyniku dalszej diagnostyki rozpoznano nasieniaka (seminoma) jądra prawego w stadium IIIB, z wynikiem β-hCG 21 866 mIU/ml. Zmianę zaotrzewnową powiązano z procesem podstawowym jako ognisko przerzutowe. Pacjent otrzymał leczenie zgodne z rekomendacjami PTOK, ESMO i NCCN dla guzów non-seminomaze względu na wysoką wartość markerów nowotworowych. Zastosowano chemioterapię w schemacie BEP (bleomycyna, etopozyd, cisplatyna) w czterech cyklach. Zakwalifikowano pacjenta do operacji wycięcia zmiany resztkowej (RPLND ‒ ang. retroperitoneal lymphnode dissection). Ze względu na długi czas oczekiwania na operację zakwalifikowano pacjenta do radioterapii na obszar zajętych węzłów chłonnych celem zatrzymania progresji choroby. W związku z wynikiem badania histopatologicznego zmiany zaotrzewnowej (95% choriocarcinoma, 5% teratoma) pacjent został zakwalifikowany do chemioterapii II rzutu w schemacie TIP (paklitaksel, ifosfamid, cisplatyna). Leczenie modyfikowano ze względu na powikłania hematologiczne. Uzyskano stabilizację choroby w skali RECIST. Chorego przekazano do obserwacji. W związku ze stosunkowo wysokim odsetkiem nowotworów o mieszanej komponencie wymagana jest szczególnie dokładna ocena histopatologiczna. Równie ważnym elementem holistycznej diagnostyki jest prawidłowa interpretacja poziomu markerów nowotworowych.Testicular cancer is the most common diagnosis in men aged 15–40, and its incidence is constantly increasing. 95% of these are germ cell tumors, of which 60% are non-seminomas and 40% are seminomas. Up to 40% of tumors have a mixed component. The treatment of choice in each case of testicular cancer is excision of the entire testicle occupied by the cancer – orchidectomy. With effective treatment, the overall five-year survival rate is 97%A 61-year-old patient with a history of biliary colic was qualified for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. A retroperitoneal mass was visualized intraoperatively. Cholecystectomy and biopsy were abandoned due to the suspicion of abdominal aortic aneurysm. As a result of further diagnostics, right testicular seminoma was diagnosed in stage IIIB with a result of β-CG of 21 866 mIU/ml. The retroperitoneal lesion was associated with the underlying process as a metastatic lesion. The patient was treated according to the recommendations of PTOK, ESMO and NCCN for non-seminomatous tumors due to elevated tumor markers. Chemotherapy in the BEP regimen (bleomycin, etoposide, cisplatin) was applied in four cycles. The patient was qualified for surgery to remove the residual lesion (RPLND - retroperitoneal lymph node dissection). Due to the long waiting time for surgery, the patient was qualified for radiotherapy in the area of the affected lymph nodes in order to stop the progression of the disease. Due to the result of histopathological examination of the retroperitoneal lesion (95% choriocarcinoma, 5% teratoma), the patient was qualified for second-line chemotherapy in the TIP regimen (paclitaxel, ifosfamide, cisplatin). Treatment was modified due to haematological complications. The disease was stabilized on the RECIST scale. The patient was transferred for observation. Due to the relatively high percentage of multicomponent tumors, a particularly thorough histopathological evaluation is required. An equally important element of holistic diagnostics is the correct interpretation of serum tumor markers
Political branding of Filip Turek in the campaign for the 2024 European Parliament elections
No full textThis thesis focuses on the political branding of Filip Turek in the campaign period before the 2024 European Parliament elections from the perspective of Catherine Needham's criteria for a successful political brand. In the theoretical part, the author presents the fundamentals of political branding and the concept of criteria for a successful political brand. The objective of the thesis is to determine whether Catherine Needham's criteria can be applied to Filip Turek's brand in the examined period, and how, if at all, the brand deviated from them. This objective is achieved by using qualitative research methods. Filip Turek's posts on social media sites Instagram and X, and several debates or interviews in which he participated, are subjected to thematic analysis. This data is accompanied by the findings that emerged from the research interviews conducted with respondents from different fields. The respondents include, for example, an expert on marketing practice, a political journalist and a person with an insight into Filip Turek's campaign. Based on the conducted analysis, it is decided that Catherine Needham's criteria for a successful political brand can be applied to the brand in the examined period.
