    Grunberg abroad. Functions and translations of prose titles This study discusses form and function of book titles, particularly in the literary oeuvre of Arnon Grunberg. The various translations of Grunberg’s titles are discussed and comparison is made with translation and editing strategies adopted for localizing other Dutch fiction abroad. The author emphasizes the many linguistic and extralinguistic factors which play a role in the recreation of a book title for another linguistic community. Titles and covers are the presentation card of the writer and the publisher. Creating titles that attract an audience is a growing trend in the globalizing world: they fit in nicely with the marketing needs of the publishing house, but may conflict with the literary and aesthetic considerations of writer and translator

    En el presente artículo compartiremos los principales objetivos de dos investigaciones actualmente en curso que surgen a partir de una misma experiencia de campo. Tanto la tesis doctoral en curso de la licenciada Yanina Patiño, titulada “Subjetividad, simbolización y aprendizaje con niños pequeños en la escuela”, como la investigación doctoral en elaboración acerca de las “Transmisiones subjetivantes en espacios escolares de nivel inicial socialmente vulnerables”, de la magister Débora Grunberg, se enmarcan en el Programa de Investigación de la Cátedra de Psicopedagogía Clínica de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, cuya titular es la doctora Patricia Álvarez. Desde 1988, dicho programa ha desarrollado investigaciones dirigidas a crear teorizaciones específicas en el área, permitiendo la aproximación a las problemáticas de simbolización en niños y adolescentes asociadas a dificultades comprensivas, restricciones para la expresión autónoma del pensamiento propio, y escasos recursos para la actividad reflexiva e imaginativa que intervienen en la deserción, abandono y repitencia escolares. Las investigaciones desarrolladas por el equipo se nutren de los interrogantes clínicos que surgen de la asistencia psicopedagógica que ofrecemos desde el área de Extensión a la comunidad. Esta actividad clínica se enmarca en el Servicio de Asistencia Psicopedagógica, coordinado por la doctora Analía Wald, en el que realizamos procesos diagnósticos con niños y adolescentes que presentan dificultades en sus aprendizajes escolares. En caso de resultar pertinente, por las particularidades clínicas del paciente, se realiza una derivación dentro del mismo Servicio para que el niño, la niña o el adolescente inicie un proceso de tratamiento psicopedagógico grupal, el cual será acompañado de un trabajo, también grupal, de reflexión con los adultos a cargo de su crianza...Fil: Patiño Torres, Yanina Marcela.     This article surveys Arnon Grunberg’s literary journalism. It is shown that Grunberg uses non-fi ction as a means to an end: as a journalist, using immersion strategies such as ‘embedded jounalism’, he collects true stories he subsequently inserts into his fi ction. Grunberg started writing literary journalism in 2005. Previously, he had the reputation of being a ‘postmodern’ writer, which meant that his work and opinions were assumed to be deeply ironic and cynical. In his recent work (essays, novels, journalism) Grunberg repeatedly distances himself from this reputation. The claim of this article is that Grunberg’s turn to literary journalism can be understood as a consequence of his ‘Late Postmodern’ position: a position that reconsiders some of the consequences of postmodernism, withoutcompletely rejecting the presupposition of postmodernism itself
