Interconnected water channels and isolated hydrophobic cavities in a calixarene-based, nanoporous supramolecular architecture.
An interesting interplay of H-bond and van der Waalslike
interactions in a proximal calix[4]arene
dihydroquinone derivative gives rise to a nanoporous
supramolecular architecture with the simultaneous
existence of water channels and very large hydrophobic

Synthesis of β-Azido Ketones under Solvent-Free Conditions
The synthesis of a series of β-azido ketones 2 starting from α,β-unsaturated ketones 1 were described. Thus, the azidation of α,β-unsaturated ketones 1 with 1.1-3.0 equiv of TMSN3 in the presence of 0.1-0.5 molar equiv of Amberlite IRA900F as a polymer-supported organocatalyst at 30-60 °C gave the corresponding β-azido ketones 2 in 60-95% yield under solvent-free conditions. After the reaction, the catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration and reused in four runs affording similar results in terms of the reaction time and the isolated yield
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
