Heat Adaptability Mechanisms of Greeshma Ritu
India being a tropical country experiences very strong summer season for April to July in different regions of the country, there are numerous deaths are reported every year due to heat wave across the country. Nature has consistent influence on health of human beings; the body exerts its constant effort to acclimatize to varying climatic conditions. The concept of Ritucharya in Ayurveda aims to establish harmonious relation between man and his surrounding, Greeshma ritu is the strongest season of Adana kaala, during this season human beings and other animals experience huge range of thermoregulation. Understanding Greeshma ritu climatologically and the mechanism of body’s thermoregulation along with seasonal regimens enable better application of Ritucharya in clinical practice.Â
Concept of Greeshma Rutucharya w.s.r. to Sarvanga Sundara and Ayurveda Rasayana Teekas of Ashtang Hrudayam
Health is the supreme foundation for the achievement of happy life, objective of Ayurveda is to accomplish the physical, mental, social and spiritual well being by adopting the preventive and promotive approach as well as treating the disease with its various remissive approaches. Ayurveda has given first priorty in maintaining the health of the individuals rather than treating diseases. It deals with different regimens maintain person’s health one of them is Rutucharya. Not following proper Rutucharya provoke the Doshas in turn causes diseases. Thus proper and thorough study of Rutucharya helps to adapt and prevent helath problems majorly those occurs in Greeshma Rutu (Summer Season). Acharya Vagbhata, the last among Brahattrayi collected many points from Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita. So it is better to refer Ashtang Hrudayam is upgraded from among these Samhitas. So commentators of Ashtang Hrudayam, Sarvanga Sundara and Ayurveda Rasayana are studied regarding Greeshma Rutucharya
Alteration of Dinacharya and Ratricharya in Greeshma Ritu: An In-Depth Review
Dinacharya are the activities which are done in a day. Similarly, Ratricharya are the activities done in the night. These regimens are described in sequences. There are separate sets of activities and guidelines to be followed during each season, collectively termed as Ritucharya. There are six seasons as per Ayurveda viz. Shishira, Vasanta, Greeshma, Varsha, Sharad and Hemanta. Although daily regimens have been advised for individuals, they might not be always applied for all the seasons. One needs to modify or alter certain activities in each season. Hence, this study is an effort that has been made to opt for following the sequence of Dinacharya in Greeshma Ritu based on Ayurvedic texts advocated for healthy individuals
A survey report on status of Bala (Physical strength) and Agni (Digestive Strength) during Greeshma Ritu (summer season)
Ayurveda advocates the maintenance of health by using regimen like Dincharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), Sadvritta (social code of conduct), Aachara Rasayana (personal code of conduct), Vega Vidharna (not to hold natural urges) etc. Ritucharya means ‘the Aahara (diet) and Vihara (life style) and other behavioural activities according to specific Ritu (season), in accordance with Shastra (scriptures). A lot of physiological variations occur in the body during Greeshma Ritu (summer season) like exhaustion, general weakness, drowsiness, increased thirst, reduced appetite etc. Charaka Samhita has also described that the status of Bala (physical strength) and Agni (digestive strength) is very weak in Greeshma Ritu (summer season). To observe the status of Bala (physical strength) and Agni (digestive strength) during Greeshma Ritu (Summer season) i.e., during April to June 2018, a survey was conducted on 500 apparently healthy volunteers in Paprola and surrounding areas. Paprola is a small town of Himachal Pradesh, situated in foot hills of Dhauladhar Ranges of Himalaya. Data was collected by a questionnaire framed on the basis of Ayurvedic texts. Many volunteers showed reduced Bala (physical strength) but their Agni (digestive strength) status was good
Seasonal Living with Ritucharya: Balancing Body and Mind, w.s.r. to Greeshma, Varsha and Sharad Ritu
As we all know that change of seasons also causes changes in environment, these changes in environment affects all living things. Some changes are beneficial but some are not good. So, in order to achieve maximum benefit from the good qualities of environment and protect ourselves from the bad effects of changing seasons. Each season is characterized by a predominant Rasa (taste) and distinct impact on the Tridoshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. So, in Ayurveda, different regimens are advised as per seasons with regards to diet, behavior and various activities collectively called as seasonal regimens or Ritucharya. This article explores the Ayurvedic concepts of Ritucharya, which emphasizes the importance of adopting lifestyle and dietary habits as per seasons to maintain balance and to promote overall well-being. In Ayurveda, there are 6 seasons namely – Shishira (winters), Vasant (spring), Greeshma (summer), Varsha (rainy), Sharad (autumn) and Hemanta (early winters).[1] Focusing on the three seasons of Greeshma (summer season), Varsha (rainy season) and Sharad (autumn season). This article highlights the unique characteristics of each season
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
