    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     U ovoj disertaciji analizira se utjecaj deformacije od puzanja na kritičnu brzinu i temperaturu otkazivanja aluminijskih stupova legure EN AW 6082 T6 izloženih nestacionarnom zagrijavanju. Nestacionarni model zagrijavanja predstavlja porast temperature uslijed konstantnoga opterećenja te na taj način simulira stvarnu situaciju prilikom požara. Trenutni propisi i norme za projektiranje aluminijskih konstrukcija na djelovanje požara ne uključuju detaljan prikaz razvoja deformacije od puzanja ni njezin utjecaj na redukciju nosivosti i brzinu otkazivanja stupova. S obzirom na znatan porast primjene aluminija i aluminijskih legura u građevinarstvu posljednjih pedesetak godina, potrebno je dodatno istražiti puzanje aluminijskih stupova jer oni spadaju u najosjetljiviji dio konstrukcije. U prilog potrebi za istraživanjem ide i činjenica da je najveća mana aluminija osjetljivost na visoke temperature jer njegove materijalne karakteristike opadaju već pri temperaturama iznad 100 °C. U uvodnom dijelu istraživanja prikazanoga u ovoj disertaciji kalibrirani su eksperimentalni rezultati na epruvetama aluminijske legure EN AW 6082 T6 kako bi se dobili parametri za odabrani model puzanja. Kalibrirani model puzanja primijenjen je na eksperimentalno-numeričku analizu dominantno tlačno opterećenih aluminijskih stupova izloženih nestacionarnom zagrijavanju. U nestacionarnim ispitivanja, upotrijebljena je niska brzina zagrijavanja jer simulira postojanje nekoga oblika protupožarne zaštite koji je zbog strogih propisa nužan u današnjim konstrukcijama. Na kraju rada provedena je parametarska analiza utjecaja niskih brzina zagrijavanja (1 °C/min – 5 °C/min) na stupove jednostavne aluminijske konstrukcije i analiziran je utjecaj deformacije od puzanja na vrijeme otkazivanja stupova. Navedena parametarska analiza provedena je na temelju usvojenoga modela puzanja utemeljenoga na rezultatima analize na aluminijskim epruvetama i na aluminijskim stupovima.This dissertation presents the analysis of the influence of creep strain on the critical speed and failure temperature of EN AW 6082 T6 aluminium columns exposed to transient heating. The model of transient heating represents an increase in temperature due to a constant load and thus simulates the real situation caused by fire. Current regulations for the design of aluminium structures exposed to fire do not include a detailed description of the development of creep strain and its influence on the reduction of load-bearing capacity and the rate of failure of the columns. Considering the significant increase in the use of aluminium and aluminium alloys in construction over the last fifty years, it is necessary to obtain a solid conclusion on the influence of creep on aluminium columns which stands for the most sensitive part of the structure. The biggest disadvantage of aluminium is its sensitivity to high temperatures since its material characteristics decrease already at temperatures above 100 °C, supporting the idea of this research. In the opening section of the research presented in this dissertation, the calibration of experimental results was carried out on test coupons of aluminium alloy EN AW 6082 T6 with the aim of obtaining parameters for the selected creep model. The calibrated creep model was applied to the experimental-numerical analysis of dominantly pressure-loaded aluminium columns exposed to transient heating. For transient tests, a low heating rate was applied because it simulates the existence of some form of fire protection that is obligatory in today's constructions due to strict regulations. The final part of the dissertation includes a parametric analysis of the influence of low heating rates (1 °C/min – 5 °C/min) of regular columns of simple aluminium construction and a comparison of the influence of creep strain on the failure time of the columns. The aforementioned parametric analysis was performed on the basis of the adopted creep model based on the results of the study carried out on aluminium test tubes and aluminium columns

    Bol u lumbalnoj kralježnici čini 5% do 8% svih sportskih ozljeda. Lumbalni bolni sindrom je jedan od vodećih zdravstvenih problema današnjice, kako kod profesionalnih sportaša tako i kod osoba koje se ne bave sportom. Karakteriziran je bolom, napetošću mišića, nelagodom te zakočenosti koju bolesnik osjeća u donjem dijelu leđa. Bolovi s obzirom na trajanje dijele se na akutne, subakutne i kronične. Često je prisutna u veslača, tenisača, golfera, plivača, dizača utega, nogometaša i mnogih drugih sportaša. Osim lumbalnog bolnog sindroma, česte su i specifične ozljede lumbalne kralježnice. Neke od njih su diskus hernija, spondiloliza, spondilolisteza, oštećenja ligamenata, istegnuća mišića te manje frakture u lumbosakralnom dijelu kralježnice. Svaka ozljeda zahtjeva individualan pristup te modificiranje tjelesne aktivnosti ili potpuni izostanak od sportske aktivnosti. Prevencija je najvažniji segment kondicijske pripreme kojim nastojimo umanjiti mogućnost ozljede lumbalne kralježnice u sportaša.Lumbar pain amounts for 5% to 8% of all sports injuries. Low back pain syndrome is one of the leading health problems of today, both among professional athletes and nonathletes. It is characterised by pain, muscle tension, discomfort and stiffness that the patient feels in the lower back. Pain can be divided into acute, subacute and chronic. It is often present in rowers, tennis players, golfers, swimmers, weightlifters, soccer players and many other athletes. In addition to low back pain syndrome, specific lumbar back spine injuries are also common. Some of them are disc herniation, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis, ligament sprains, muscle strains and minor fractures in the lumbosacral part of the spine. Each injury requires an individual approach to changes in physical activity or complete absence from sport activities. Prevention is the most important segment of fitness preparation by which we try to reduce the possibility of lumbar spine injury in athletes

Trenutna verzija nudi mogućnost automatskog ispisa u .docx i .pdf formatima te omogućuje korisniku spremanje unesenih podataka. Program je izrađen u programskom jeziku C# koristeći Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 IDE.Presentation of a computer program with the possibility of automatic dimensioning rectangular of ductility class M according to HRN EN 1998.     Gubitak uda je traumatičan životni događaj koji može dramatično utjecati na kvalitetu života osoba s amputacijom i njihovih obitelji. Međunarodni paraolimpijski odbor (engl. IPC – International paraolympic committee) definira amputaciju kao djelomični ili potpuni nedostatak kostiju ili zglobova kao posljedica urođenog ili stečenog (traumatskog ili zbog bolesti) zdravstvenog stanja. Otprilike 56% osoba s gornjim i 80-95% s amputacijom donjeg ekstremiteta koristi protezu, a stopa nezadovoljstva protezom kreće se od 18 do 57%. Protetička rehabilitacija se sastoji od četiri stadija: predoperativna rehabilitacija, postoperativna njega i rehabilitacija, predprotetička rehabilitacija i protetička rehabilitacija. Uobičajeni cilj nakon amputacije donjih ekstremiteta je da se pojedinac vrati svom načinu života prije ozljede. Proteze specifične za sport su posebno dizajnirane za osobe s amputacijom kako bi mogle sudjelovati u određenim sportskim aktivnostima, olakšavajući zahtjeve koje sport može postaviti sportašu. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je utvrditi protetičku opskrbu sportaša s natkoljenom amputacijom, te utvrditi razlike sportskih izvedbi osoba s jednostranom natkoljenom i obostranom natkoljenom amputacijom.The loss of a limb is a traumatic life event that can dramatically affect the quality of life of amputees and their families. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC – International Paralympic Committee) defines amputation as a partial or complete lack of bones or joints as a result of a congenital or acquired (traumatic or disease) medical condition. Approximately 56% of people with upper limb amputation and 80-95% with lower limb amputation use a prosthetic limb, and the rate of dissatisfaction with the prosthesis ranges from 18 to 57%. Prosthetic rehabilitation consists of four stages: pre-operative rehabilitation, post-operative care and rehabilitation, pre-prosthetic rehabilitation and prosthetic rehabilitation. A common goal after a lower extremity amputation is for the individual to return to their pre-injury lifestyle. Sportspecific prostheses are specifically designed for amputees to be able to participate in certain sporting activities, easing the demands that sports can place on the athlete. The aim of this thesis was to determine the prosthetic supply of athletes with a lower-knee amputation, and to determine the differences in the sports performances of people with unilateral and bilateral above-knee amputations
