Interview of Charles W. Good by Hannah Stoll
Remote interview.Charles Good's interest in biology was piqued in high school, so he went on to study the subject at the University of Illinois. After earning his Bachelor's degree, he first taught high school in Chicago, but he found he was interested in doing more scientific research than the K-12 environment would allow. So he went on to earn a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in Botany from Ohio University. He was hired in 1974 at the Ohio State-Lima campus and spent his entire career there until retirement. In addition to teaching, Dr. Good conducted research in paleobotany, even securing a National Science Foundation grant for work in which he was the sole principal investigator. Good is also an expert on the Lima campus's Tecumseh Natural Area, a small woodland area that escaped development into agricultural land during European settlement of Ohio. Good volunteers at the Lima Memorial Hospital front desk, and he has also worked with the Boy Scouts of America, taking youth on camping trips to explore nature

Koncepcja good governance a model prawa w badaniach systemów ponadnarodowych
Dotychczas powstało wiele istotnych badań odnoszących się do zjawiska good governance w aspekcie formalnoprawnym, gospodarczym bądź politologicznym.

The author shares his reflections on state of art in housing and urban planning, deficiencies, expectations and possibilities in the Sahel region of Africa. He notices, that the housing problem in Africa is one of the challenges, which should be solved in order to recover life dignity of African people and secure their rights to traditional family life in acceptable conditions. The paper describes the studies on the typical dispersed urban structures and the need to foster this type of settlement structure and proposals of introduction of new on light steel frame housing system in the area of Sahel, combining the traditional way of building houses with modern technology. The particularly analysed case, is the housing problem in the Republic of Chad. The author presents the basic discussion on this topic and his architectural proposals. Unfortunately, the gap between the needs and the financial feasibility of housing construction in this area, makes this project already at the starting point extremely difficult to be realized without external subventions.
