Valuation of Golar LNG
Golar LNG is a company engaged in the LNG shipping business. The company fleet has grown from 6 vessels in 2001 to today’s fleet of 13 vessels, and a further 13 vessels due to be delivered from Q3 2013. The company is currently engaged in acquisition, ownership, operations and chartering of LNG carriers, FSRU vessels. It has also recently signed a conditional agreement for developing its first FLNG vessels, with the aim of launching three converted vessels within mid 2015.
This thesis has an analytical approach, emphasizing detailed valuation of the individual vessels. The valuation is supported by a strategic external analysis (Porter’s five forces model), but the cash flow calculations are given the highest focus, and they are also based upon some reasoned assumptions not being highlighted in the strategic analysis.
The estimated share value is evaluated by use of comparative analysis, and is also made subject to a sensitivity analysis of the individual model-parameters.
Golar LNG is trading at higher multiples than its peer group, and the share price is exposed to changes in charter rates due to many vessels are not committed to charter contracts.
The thesis concludes that Golar LNG is currently fairly valued at NASDAQ, albeit the market value is 8-10% less than my estimated share value. Given the short term uncertainties surrounding carrier charter rates, and the company’s low contract coverage in the carrier business segment, a ‘HOLD’ strategy is recommended until some downside risk is removed. However, in the long run, it is expected that the stock will be a good investment, even at current share price levels

Slovenska policija ima pomembno vlogo pri vzpostavljanju reda v državi in zagotavljanju varnosti njenih prebivalcev. Da bi svoje delo opravila na najučinkovitejši način, mora včasih uporabiti prisilna sredstva. Prisilna sredstva spadajo pod policijska pooblastila, kar pomeni, da so to ukrepi, ki jih policist izvaja na podlagi zakona. Temeljni zakon oziroma podlaga za uporabo policijskih pooblastil je Zakon o nalogah in pooblastilih policije (»ZNPPol«, 2013), kjer je med drugim navedenih tudi vseh 12 prisilnih sredstev, ki jih uporablja slovenska policija. Z njimi policisti opravljajo različna pooblastila pod zakonsko določenimi pogoji. Poleg tega, da imamo zakonsko opredeljena prisilna sredstva, je v ZNPPol določeno, pod katerimi pogoji se smejo uporabiti. Prisilna sredstva policija uporabi v različnih okoliščinah in se lahko uporabijo proti eni ali več osebam. Z uporabo prisilnih sredstev policisti posegajo v svobodo osebe in tudi v njihovo življenje, zato je ključnega pomena, da so policisti ustrezno usposobljeni za uporabo policijskih pooblastil. Poleg zakonskih pravil postopka uporabe posameznega prisilnega sredstva in usposobljenosti policisti izvajajo postopke po določenih načelih.
Do večje pozornosti, namenjene uporabi prisilnih sredstev s strani policije, je prišlo med letoma 2020 in 2022, ko so potekali tako imenovani protesti proti covidnim ukrepom, na katerih je prišlo do uporabe različnih prisilnih sredstev, tako proti množici kot proti posameznikom. V medijih in na televiziji se je veliko razpravljalo o strokovni in zakoniti uporabi prisilnih sredstev, kar je povzročilo zaskrbljenost prebivalcev o pravičnosti njihove uporabe. Zato smo se v našem diplomskem delu osredotočili na mnenje prebivalcev Iga o uporabi prisilnih sredstev.The Slovenian police has an important role in establishing order in the country and ensuring the safety of its residents. In order to do their work in the most efficient way, they sometimes have to use coercive means. Coercive means fall under police powers, which means that they are reinforcements that the police officer carries out on the basis of the law. The fundamental or the basis for the use of police powers is Police Tasks and Powers Act (Zakon o nalogah in pooblastilih policije, 2013), which, among other things, lists all 12 means of coercion used by the Slovenian police. With them, police officers exercise various powers under the conditions set by law. In addition to the fact that we have legally defined coercive means, the Police Tasks And Powers specifies the conditions under which they may be used. Coercive means are used by the police in various circumstances and can be used against one or more persons. By using coercive means, police officers encroach on a person`s freedom and also on their life, so it is crucial that police officers are properly trained to use police powers. In addition to the legal rules for the procedure for the use of individual coercive means and qualifications, police officers carry out procedures according to certain principles, since by using coercive means, police officers do not want to intentionally injure people, but to ensure that any bad act is prevented or stoped.
Greater attention to the use of coercive means by the police came between 2020 and 2022, when the so-called protests against Covid measures, where various coercive measures were used, both against the crowd and individuals. There has been a lot of discussion in the media and television about the professional and legal use of coercive means, which has caused residents to worry about the fairness of their use. Setiap perusahaan pelayaran selalu meminta crew yang bekerja di atas
kapalnya untuk melakukan pekerjaan sesuai prosedur tanpa mengabaikan
keselamatan saat bekerja. Untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja di atas
kapal maka perusahaan pemilik kapal (ship owner) Golar LNG mewajibkan crew
nya untuk melaksanakan training. Dalam rangka memenuhi kriteria dan
persyaratan tersebut PT. Equinox Bahari Utama selaku perusahaan crew manning
agency dari Golar LNG memberikan pelatihan bagi awak kapalnya, dalam hal ini
pelatihan crane operator untuk rating kapal Golar LNG. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan crane operator training untuk rating
kapal Golar LNG di PT. Equinox Bahari Utama, dampak yang terjadi jika rating
kapal Golar LNG tidak melaksanakan crane operator training serta upaya yang
dilakukan PT. Equinox Bahari Utama jika rating kapal Golar LNG tidak
melaksanakan crane operator training.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada skripsi ini adalah metode
kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian diperoleh dari data primer dan data sekunder.
Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, studi pustaka, dokumentasi,
wawancara selama penulis melaksanakan penelitian di PT. Equinox Bahari
Utama. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi
data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Pelaksanaan crane operator training untuk rating kapal Golar LNG di PT.
Equinox Bahari Utama saat penulis melakukan penelitian berjalan tidak lancar
disebabkan karena sulitnya mendapatkan vendor saat pandemi Covid-19 yang
sesuai domisili dari perusahaan PT. Equinox Bahari Utama serta persyaratan dari
vendor yang mempunyai batas minimal peserta untuk kegiatan crane operator
training. Dampak yang terjadi jika rating kapal Golar LNG tidak melaksanakan
crane operator training adalah terancamnya keselamatan kerja crew saat
mengoperasikan crane di atas kapal, sanksi dari PT. Equinox Bahari Utama
dimana crew wajib menganti keseluruhan biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk training
dan juga mundurnya jadwal on board. Selain itu juga mendapatkan blacklist dari
Golar Management Ltd. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut maka PT. Equinox
Bahari Utama memberikan edukasi kepada crew mengenai pentingnya mengikuti
training tersebu
PENERAPAN CRANE OPERATOR TRAINING UNTUK RATING KAPAL GOLAR LNG DI PT. EQUINOX BAHARI UTAMA
Abstrak- Crane operator training adalah pelatihan
pengoperasian crane kapal untuk rating guna mencegah
terjadinya kecelakaan kerja dan untuk memenuhi syarat
sertifikasi dari Golar LNG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pelaksanaan crane operator training di PT.
Equinox Bahari Utama, dampak serta upaya yang
dilakukan perusahaan jika rating Golar LNG tidak
melaksanakan training.
Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif serta
pengumpulan data dengan observasi, studi pustaka,
dokumentasi dan wawancara. Teknik keabsahan data
dengan triangulasi serta teknik analisis data menggunakan
reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pelaksanaan crane
operator training berjalan tidak lancar karena sulitnya
mendapatkan vendor sesuai domisili perusahaan serta
persyaratan vendor terkait batas minimal peserta training.
Dampak yang terjadi jika tidak melaksanakan training
yaitu terancamnya keselamatan kerja crew, sanksi dari PT.
Equinox Bahari Utama dan juga mendapatkan blacklist
dari Golar Management Ltd. Upaya yang dilakukan PT.
Equinox Bahari Utama yaitu memberikan edukasi kepada
crew mengenai pentingnya mengikuti training tersebut
ANALISA PELAKSANAAN SPECIAL OPERATIONS UNTUK MENCIPTAKAN SAFE ENTRY TANK DI KAPAL LNG GOLAR MAZO
ABSTRACT

H. Agus Subardi,M.Mar, Mentor II : Nita Setiyaningsih,S.Pd, M.Hum
The author’s background to choose “Analysis of Special Operations to Create Safe Entry Tank di LNG Golar Mazo” as the topic of research, is due to the low understanding of seafarer in terms of how to prepare cargo tank of LNG vessel to be safe when inspected in dry dock. The structure of the problems are 1.) How to prepare LNG cargo tank in Golar Mazo to be safe when inspected during dry dock ? 2.) Does the special operation that has been done already carried out in accordance with standard procedures based on IGC Code, ship’s manual book, and other standard ? 3.) Is there any problem occurs during Special Operations, what are the cause, and how to solve it ?
This thesis research is based on the understanding of Special Operations, the importance of machinery and equipment checking in preparation process to avoid events that could threat the safety of the ship and its contents, and the importance of familiarization to the crews.
The research method that is use in writing this minithesis is descriptive qualitative method, with analysis method using Fishbone and Fault Tree Analysis. Sources of data from this study are from observations and record of operation during the author’s experience joining Special Operations in August 2016 onboard LNG Golar Mazo.
The results shows that: 1.) Procedure to prepare LNG cargo tank onboard LNG Golar Mazo in order to make it safe to entry during dry dock inspection is by 4 steps of Special Operation. 2.) There are some obstacle factors happened during Special Operation in LNG Golar Mazo as follows: Machine, Method, and Manpower.
The author's suggestion for the Special operation is that it must be carried out in accordance with Ship’s Cargo Handling Manual, IGC Code, and SIGTTO to create a safe entry tank, with safe operation, and avoid events that may endanger the ship and its contents.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
PELAKSANAAN GAS FREEING PADA TANGKI MUATAN SEBELUM BERLANGSUNGNYA DRYDOCK PADA KAPAL LNG GOLAR MAZO
Meluasnya penggunaan gas alam sebagai energi alternatif,membuat transportasi gas alam cair (LNG) menjadi topik paling panas di dunia akhir-akhir ini. Mengingat penanganan LNG yang berbeda dengan kargo lain. Hal ini dikarenakan dalam penanganannya dibutuhkan kebutuhan suhu yang sangat rendah, sekitar -160oC. Hal yang paling mencolok dalam penangannanya adalah tentang pelaksanaan Drydock pada kapal tersebut,namun sebelum dilakakukannya Drydock, kapal LNG harus melakukan Gas Freeing terlebih dahulu. Penulis membuat perumusan masalah sebagai berikut: 1). Bagaimana pelaksanaan Gas Freeing di kapal LNG. Golar Mazo? 2). Mengapa harus dilaksanakan Gas Freeing pada kapal LNG. Penulisan skripsi ini menggambarkan teori pelaksanaan Gas Freeing yang dilaksanakan di kapal. Dalam penyusunan dari skripsi ini juga dijelaskan tentang hal–hal yang digunakan untuk membahas masalah diatas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan yang menggunakan penulis adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan obyek yang digunakan. Berdasarkan cara untuk mendapatkan data yang diperoleh selama praktek sebagai pendukung. Akhirnya penulis menyimpulkan bahwa, Mengapa harus dilaksanakannya Gas Freeing pada tangki muatan sebelum dilaksanakannya Drydock yaitu, agar kapal dipastikan aman dari gas berbahaya yang ada didalam tangki, juga sebagai syarat agar dilakukannya sertifikasi guna perbaikan dan guna dapat dilakukannya perbaikan yang pada alat indikasi muatan yang ada didalam tangka muatan di kapal LNG. Golar Mazo dengan pihak kapal, penggunaan maksimal dari heel pada saat ballast passage, dan dibutuhkannya rasa saling pengertian antara CCR dan kamar mesin, serta yang terakhir adalah memperhatikan prosedur dari penggunaan heel sehingga dapat memperlancar proses pemuatan LNG
