Full text linkThe article covers the poetry production by Giuseppe Conte, including his latest collection, Ferite e rifioriture (2006). It deals with Conte’s conception of art as a form of soul-making alongside James Hillman’s seminal book, Revisioning Psychology. From this perspective the poet is essentially the interpreter and promoter of a new civilization founded on the principles of freedom and social justice. Conte’s concept is placed well within a neoplatonic tradition which, in modern times, has included other poets such as Yeats, Shelly, Rilke and – to a certain extent – D’Annunzio.

No full textL'objet principal de notre recherche est l'œuvre poétique de Giuseppe Conte. Toute sa production poétique, bien que différenciée, révèle une continuité dans la recherche stylistique et la philosophie de l'existence. Les recueils de poésie de Conte sont une tentative d'exprimer sous forme artistique sa vision personnelle de la littérature, du monde, de la société, de l'homme et des différentes cultures. Notre étude explore une poétique qui exprime la relation de Conte avec les poètes et les écrivains du passé et du présent. Pour Conte, la poésie est nécessaire et fondamentale pour la civilisation contemporaine, elle est un aliment essentiel de l'imagination et de l'âme humaine, elle doit être comprise comme fondamentale pour la renaissance esthétique, morale et économique du monde. Dans notre étude, nous analysons d'abord l'éloignement de Conte de la néo-avant-garde : il s'est toujours considéré comme un «étranger» par rapport aux mouvements artistiques et littéraires des XXe et XXIe siècles. Sa conception du mythe et de la nature comme antidote au matérialisme de la société occidentale l'a conduit à être l'un des fondateurs du «Mythomodernisme». Nous nous interrogeons sur les raisons qui ont poussé le poète à s'intéresser aux civilisations non-européennes disparues et examinons sa réinterprétation des mythes classiques. Nous étudions le rôle que Conte attribue à la poésie dans le rapprochement entre les cultures occidentale et orientale ; nous analysons également l'influence de la «culture» et du paysage ligurien sur Conte. Enfin, nous nous concentrons sur les valeurs du langage, en particulier la valeur expressive de la métaphore (sur laquelle Conte a écrit des essais fondamentaux), sur la forme poétique et l'analyse du langage. Les techniques utilisées par Conte permettent à la poésie de devenir le porteur d'une nouvelle énergie et d'une œuvre de civilisation renouvelée.The main object of our research is the poetic work of Giuseppe Conte. His entire poetic production, although differentiated, reveals a continuity in stylistic research and philosophy of existence. Conte's poetry collections are an attempt to express in artistic form his personal vision of literature, the world, society, man and different cultures. Our study explores a poetics that expresses Conte's relationship with poets and writers of the past and present. For Conte, poetry is necessary and fundamental to contemporary civilisation, it is an essential nourishment of the human imagination and soul, it must be understood as fundamental to the aesthetic, moral and economic rebirth of the world. In our study, we first analyse Conte's distance from the neo-avant-garde : he has always considered himself an «outsider» in relation to the artistic and literary movements of the 20th and 21st centuries. His conception of myth and nature as an antidote to the materialism of Western society led him to be one of the founders of «Mythomodernism». We ask why the poet was interested in lost non-European civilizations and examine his reinterpretation of classical myths. We study the role that Conte attributes to poetry in bringing together Western and Eastern cultures ; we also analyse the influence of Ligurian «culture» and landscape on Conte. Finally, we focus on the values of language, in particular the expressive value of metaphor (on which Conte wrote fundamental essays), on poetic form and the analysis of language. The techniques used by Conte allow poetry to become the bearer of a new energy and a renewed work of civilisation
«Sometimes the Crisis Makes the Leader»?A Comparison of Giuseppe Conte Digital Communication Before and During the Covid-19 Pandemic
No full textThis article presents a comparison of the pre and during Covid-19 digital communication on Facebook of the former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. By providing both a quantitative and qualitative overview, it aims to assess Giuseppe Conte’s political leadership during his two years spent in the office (2018-2021) and to investigate how he exploited digital platforms to spread his messages and then in handling the health emergency. Firstly, it presents how the Covid-19 outbreak led to a metamorphosis of Conte’s political leadership. Secondly, it provides an analysis of the activity of Conte on Facebook, as well as of the characteristics of the messages shared on such platform. In doing so, it observes how the sensitive policies enacted and disseminated by Conte via social media led to higher engagement levels and a growth of his fanbase, thus creating a symbiotic relationship with citizens and achieving great legitimation. Thirdly, the research explores how digital platforms entered the fabric of the administration, with Conte’s political decisions carried out bypassing official procedures through instant communication tools. In the end, it discusses that the pandemic strengthened the political leadership of Giuseppe Conte and explores complementary reasons that gave him a new centrality in the Italian political scen

The disturbance decoupling problem for jumping hybrid systems
No full textThe problem considered here consists in decoupling the output of a hybrid system from an unknown disturbance by means of state feedback, while assuring global asymptotic stability of the closed-loop dynamics. The considered hybrid systems are characterized by the coupling of a linear flow dynamics with a discontinuous jump dynamics. Suitable geometric methods and tools are introduced and, assuming that the linear flow dynamics is reachable, a general sufficient solvability condition is given. A more restrictive sufficient solvability condition that can be checked by a simple, finite procedure is also given. This provides a practical way to construct solutions in many situations
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Full text linkAfter the virus of SARS-CoV-2 appeared in China, Italy was the first country to experience the spread of the infection among Western nations. Two different governments, led, respectively, by Giuseppe Conte and Mario Draghi, have been in office during the first 2 years of the pandemic. This essay focuses on the different communicative and narrative strategies adopted by the two Italian government leaders to manage the crisis. Notably, it tries to interpret them in the light of two polar attitudes. On the one hand, the search for a consensus to legitimize and support the crisis management policies. On the other hand, the search for a consensus aimed at building leadership. Finally, it tries to identify the many causal variables accountable for these different attitudes
