Encenações e reescritas da memória no capitalismo global entre teorias e práticas culturais | Scenarios and rewritings of memory in global capitalism between theories and cultural practices
Full text linkThe constitution of Cultural Memory is discussed after the fall of the Berlin Wall and by the phenomena of globalization.It is proposed to study two cases dedicated to contemporary memory: the Memorial of the Italian deportees in Auschwitz, held in 1981 and today no longer existent and the Museum of the memory of Ustica, in Bologna, inaugurated in 2007. These are examples which allow us to reflect on the transformations of memory within a discussion of globalized capitalism. We offer the contributions of alternative representation experiences, which tend to delegitimize dominant views. It is intended to investigate the ways in which the records are made and their mediation. Methodologically, the work carries out a critical review of the literature on the topics covered. In a second moment, in the two case studies, it observes the praxis
Genealogia da biblioteconomia e da biblioteca “social”: Gabriel Naudé e o discurso libertino
No full textThe article seeks to design a genealogy of library and librarianship through the analysis of Gabriel Naudé’s treatise Advis pour dresser um bibliothèque. In this sense, it discusses the perspective of analysis based on contemporary concerns about the function attributed to the library. It proposes a genealogical methodological perspective, linked to the Warburg’s school of History of Culture. The article bases Naudé’s erudition in his work of bibliographical nature. Through the reading of the Advis, it seeks to understand what libertine thought means in the seventeenth century and how it relates in genealogical terms to the proposals of librarianship and social library. This work seeks to construct a constant dialectic between Naudé’s libertine thought and the proposals of knowledge reform proposed by the Catholic Counter - Reformation to highlight the characteristics of his thought. To the extent that Advis is considered the first "handbook" of librarianship, it seeks to understand which is the vision of knowledge that guides its library proposal. Naudé's library clearly reveals the recognition that to a bibliographic organization must correspond a physical organization capable of leading the library to perform its functions

Full text linkThe article seeks to analyze the constitution of new "regimes of truth", observing a series of phenomena that result, in large part, from processes linked to modernization, considering, also, the changes that make up our contemporaneity. We seek to understand how regimes of truth are established, based on the hypothesis that they are systems of beliefs that, consolidated in time, suffer constant mutation processes. Methodology: Bibliographical study. Narratives are linked to the ways of interpreting reality, allowing the recognition of identities; they are a set of cognitive procedures which generate individual and shared knowledge, making such knowledge objective, real and credible

No full textA cultura pop japonesa tem por característica sua relação com os recursos midiáticos e as diversas formas de expressão por eles compartilhados. Da mesma maneira a cultura pop nipo- brasileira está estreitamente ligada aos avanços das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação bem como a presença cada vez mais atuante dos sujeitos, fãs da cultura pop nipo-brasileira que não se contentam apenas com as referências que recebem, mas portam-se também como produtores de conteúdo nesta nova dinâmica informacional. Tendo em vista este contexto no qual o ciberespaço figura como espaço de mediação de uma série de atividades, este artigo, parte constituinte de um trabalho maior ainda em desenvolvimento, tem como objetivo abordar a presença da cultura pop japonesa no cenário digital por meio de produções de fãs brasileiros de quadrinhos e animações japonesas - mangá e anime respectivamente - ao considerar que a internet possibilita novas formas de contato e relacionamento entre as pessoas e de participação e compartilhamento de informações e saberes que constituem um espaço social no qual desenvolvem-se processos de mediação cultural que posicionam os atores como protagonistas na dinâmica de produção e circulação da informação na contemporaneidade. Este trabalho teve como processos metodológicos o estudo exploratório fundamentado em pesquisa bibliográfica dos conceitos aqui apresentados e utilizou-se de observação do campo para levantamento de casos mais recentes de projeção das atividades do público da cultura pop japonesa no Brasil no cenário digital. Assim, considerou-se que, embora problemáticos para o âmbito da Ciência da Informação, os novos processos de mediação cultural no cenário digital amplia o escopo de recursos de apropriação da informação e dos conhecimentos e sociabilidades
O livro de bolso no Brasil e na França: uma análise a partir de catálogos editoriais
No full textA partir dos catálogos editoriais de quatro coleções de livros de bolso, duas brasileiras (L&PM Pocket, da L&PM, e Companhia de Bolso, da Companhia das Letras) e duas francesas (Le Livre de Poche, da La Librairie Générale Française, e Folio, da Gallimard), pretende-se apontar as semelhanças e diferenças entre o mercado de livro de bolso nacional e internacional na atualidade. A análise destaca as características materiais e paratextuais das coleções, os preços de venda, o uso da serialização, os gêneros privilegiados e as formas de exposição nas livrarias. Conclui-se que as coleções de bolso brasileiras ainda não apresentam a mesma diversidade e grandeza dos exemplares franceses, mas já adotam estratégias comerciais de sucesso no exterior e passam por um período de crescimento no país

Full text linkThe reflection, dedicated to the analysis from a gender perspective of three aspects of the disciplines of the book (profession, semantic cataloging and history of the book), is part of the broader context of critical librarianship, and intends to approach these issues with the awareness that it is an unavoidably unsystematic introduction due to the complexity and breadth of the discussion. However, it was deemed necessary to open a debate or at least ask the question because in Italy these aspects have not yet been dealt with systematically and organically and are discussed marginally and in conflict, without being able to arrive at a synthesis of meaning that accepts and re-elaborate the social processes that have been going on for years and the requests coming from the communities that express a way of being and feeling complementary to the canonical one of the masculine.La riflessione, dedicata all’analisi in un’ottica di genere di tre aspetti delle discipline del libro (professione, catalogazione semantica e storia del libro), si colloca nel più ampio ambito della biblioteconomia critica e intende approcciare queste tematiche con la consapevolezza che si tratta di un’introduzione inevitabilmente non sistematica per la complessità e l’ampiezza della discussione. Tuttavia, si è ritenuto necessario aprire un dibattito o quantomeno porre la questione poiché in Italia tali aspetti non sono stati ancora affrontati con sistematicità e organicità e vengono dibattuti marginalmente e conflittualmente, senza che si riesca a giungere a una sintesi di senso che accolga e rielabori i processi sociali ormai in atto da anni e le istanze provenienti dalle comunità che esprimono un modo di essere e di sentire complementare a quello canonico del maschile
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
