    DESAIN DAN UJI PERFORMA MESIN GERINDA PENDUPLIKAT POROS CAM UNTUK APLIKASI BALAP MOTOR

    Abstrak Mesin ini adalah mesin gerinda yang digunakan untuk melakukan duplikasi poros cam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan desain mesin penduplikat poros cam, dan melakukan pengujian performa dari mesin tersebut. Proses desain dimulai dari studi literatur dan lapangan, penyusunan ide dan catatan, pembuatan dan pengujian. Dari hasil desain diperoleh panjang mesin adalah 570 mm, lebar 320 mm, dan tinggi 529 mm, menggunakan motor listrik AC 1 phasa untuk gerinda, dan motor listrik DC sebagai pemutar poros cam. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh ketelitian rata-rata pada lobe intake adalah sebesar 0,08 mm, dengan error rata-rata 10,1% dan error tertinggi sebesar 33,3% pada sudut 170° dan 180°. Sedangkan pada lobe exhaust diperoleh ketelitian rata-rata adalah sebesar 0,08 mm dengan error rata-rata 10,1%  dan error tertinggi sebesar 44,4% pada sudut 170°.  AbstractThis machine is a grinding machine which is used to duplicate the camshaft. The objective of this research is to design a camshaft duplicating machine, and perform a test to find out its performance. The design process starts from literature and field studies, drafting ideas and notes, and manufacturing and testing. The design results machine length of 570 mm, 320 mm in widht, and 529 mm in height, using a 1 phase AC electric motor for grinding, and a DC electric motor on cam shaft side. The test results average accuracy of the intake lobe is 0.08 mm, with an average error of 10.1% and the highest error of 33.3% at angle of 170° and 180°. While on the exhaust lobe has average accuracy of 0.08 mm with an average error of 10.1% and the highest error of 44.4% at an angle of 170°. Â

    Meja putar penepat adalah alat bantu yang dirancang untuk mempermudah proses pengelasan khususnya pada pipa. Alat bantu ini dapat membantu pengelasan dalam penempatkan benda kerja dan memutar benda kerja selama proses pengelasan sehingga diharapkan hasil lasan konsisten dan stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu; menentukan rancangan desain alat bantu, menghitung bagian-bagian elemen mesin dan menghitung estimasi waktu produksi. Dalam proses perancangan menggunakan pendekatan metode VDI 2222. Motor penggerak yang digunakan yaitu motor DC jenis power window. Pengatur kecepatan putar motor digunakan metode Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM). Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh desain alat menggunakan engsel dan pengatur sudut untuk mengatur sudut kerja dari meja putar. Hasil perhitungan elemen mesin didapat daya untuk memutar meja adalah 0,055 watt. Diameter roda gigi yang digunakan adalah 60 mm dan 48 mm. Diameter poros yang digunakan adalah 28,58 mm. Umur bantalan 2,5 tahun. Kapasitas beban maksimal yaitu 15 kg. Waktu proses produksi alat bantu las ini yaitu 2,5 hari

    Tingginya kebutuhan manusia akan sistem pendingin berakibat pada melonjaknya penggunaan refrigeran jenis hidrokarbon maupun fluorokarbon dari tahun ke tahun. Hidrokarbon dan fluorokarbon merupakan zat yang berbahaya karena dapat merusak lapisan ozon di stratosfer yang menyebabkan peningkatan sinar ultraviolet yang diterima oleh manusia di bumi sehingga berdampak buruk pada kesehatan. Sistem pendingin berbasis termoelektrik sebagai pompa kalor padat adalah salah satu solusi yang aman sebagai pengganti sistem pendingin hidrokarbon maupun fluorokarbon. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan eksperimen dari sebuah sistem pendingin berbasis termoelektrik dengan alat penukar kalor yang menggunakan air sebagai fluida kerjanya. Penelitian akan difokuskan pada unjuk kerja sistem yang optimal terhadap tegangan dan debit aliran air sebagai fluida kerja. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh sistem optimal pada konsumsi tegangan 6V dan arus 2.24A, pada debit laju aliran air 0.5 liter/menit. Adapun COP dari sistem pada saat itu adalah sebesar 0.86

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Electric bike is environmentally friendly vehicle because it doesn’t cause air pollution and it can uses electric from renewable energy sources to charge battery. Here is a lot of studies about electric bike in Indonesa, but only a few topic about electric bike for uphill climbing. In this study, electric bike will be designed for a load of 80 kgs to overcomes the uphill road at 21° of elevation. The design process contains activity such as calculation and selection of electric motor, drafting and manfacturing the frame, and riding test on flat road and uphill road at 21° of elevation. The results of design, electric bike uses 2000 watt BLDC motor, 48V 20Ah of battery, 13 teeth at front sprocket and 48 teeth of rear sprocket. From the riding test results, the bike’s maximum speed is 35 km/h reached on 5 seconds on flat road. While on uphill road with elevation of 21°, the bike’s maximum speed is 10 km/h reached on 10 seconds.     The trend of using electric motorbikes to drive two-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia has started to increase. This is because the increasing public awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles is linked to the decreasing fossil energy reserves. Apart from that, electric vehicles are an environmentally friendly means of transportation because they do not cause air pollution. Based on previously research SEMOLI Generation 1, it is known that the use of a sprocket and chain transmission model on electric motorbikes produces less than optimal performance when used on flat roads, because on flat roads there is no need for large torque. The aim of this SEMOLI Generation 2 research is to conduct experiments using a CVT transmission which is predicted to be able to provide large torque when the road conditions are uphill, and able to provide higher speeds when the road conditions are flat. The research stages carried out successively are: conducting studies, selecting transmissions, assembling, fabricating, designing frames and swing arms, testing, and preparing documents. Based on the test results, it was found that using a CVT was able to increase maximum speed on both horizontal and uphill road conditions. This increase is because CVT has a wide transmission comparison range, so it is able to overcome uphill and horizontal road conditions

    Pellet ikan merupakan makanan ikan buatan sebagai pengganti makanan alami ikan dihabitat aslinya. Makanan buatan ini harus memenuhi persyaratan sesuai dengan SNI diantaranya adalah kadar air yang terkandung dalam pellet. Usaha pengeringan pellet ikan ini adalah menggunakan mesin pengering pellet. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat melalui Iptek bagi Masyarakat (IbM) ini adalah menrancang bangun mesin pengering pellet ikan tipe rotary dryer dan kegiatan usaha diseminasi sebagai wadah promosi dalam meningkatkan pemasaran pellet ikan dari kelompok Usaha Petani (UPPET). Hasil rancangan mesin pengering pellet ikan ini mampu menurunkan kadar air sebesar 0,05 % pada kondisi putaran rotary 3 rpm, putaran blower 1400 rpm, temperatur (T1) = 48 oC, dan temperatur (T2) = 34 oC, waktu pemanasan 60 menit. Hasil uji mesin pengering yang kedua dengan cara mengurangi sistem ulir di dalam rotary dan menambahkan penutup di ujung rotary serta meninggikan tungku pemanasan dihasilkan temperatur (T1) = 60 oC, dan temperatur (T2) = 48 oC serta mampu mengeringkan pellet ikan 0,4 % pada kondisi yang sama yaitu putaran rotary 3 rpm, putaran blower 1400 rpm.Kata Kunci: pengering pellet, rotary dryer, kadar air pele

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
