Comparative storage behaviour of expeller pressed and ghani groundnut oils.
Storage behaviour of groundnut oil obtained by crushing in an expeller or a 'ghani' was studied at 40 degree C and at 2, 67, and 91% RH. The 'ghani' oil had a higher % residual moisture which resulted in a much faster rate of peroxide formation, and in a higher degree of Fe contamination when stored for some time in metallic containers (0.988 p.p.m. vs. 0.255 p.p.m. in expeller-pressed oil). Phosphatide content of 'ghani' oil was only 0.11%, vs. 0.48% in expeller-pressed oil. The lower natural antioxidant action of 'ghani'oil, combined with the higher Fe content, catalyses the autoxidation of the oil
A Battery Energy Storage System for Single-Phase Residential Application with Paralleled GaN Devices
In this paper a battery energy storage system (BESS) for single-phase residential application is proposed. The idea is to apply Gallium Nitride (GaN) devices in order to achieve the advantage of very low switching power loss and relatively high efficiency. The GaN-based BESS includes a bidirectional half-bridge dc-dc converter and a full-bridge single-phase grid-connected inverter with paralleled GaN devices. The power stage design, GaN paralleling, and controller design are analyzed. Moreover, OrCAD Spice and MATLAB SIMULINK simulation results are discussed and validated
Fibrational induction meets effects
This paper provides several induction rules that can be used to prove properties of effectful data types. Our results are semantic in nature and build upon Hermida and Jacobs’ fibrational formulation of induction for polynomial data types and its extension to all inductive data types by Ghani, Johann, and Fumex. An effectful data type μ(TF) is built from a functor F that describes data, and a monad T that computes effects. Our main contribution is to derive induction rules that are generic over all functors F and monads T such that μ(TF) exists. Along the way, we also derive a principle of definition by structural recursion for effectful data types that is similarly generic. Our induction rule is also generic over the kinds of properties to be proved: like the work on which we build, we work in a general fibrational setting and so can accommodate very general notions of properties, rather than just those of particular syntactic forms. We give examples exploiting the generality of our results, and show how our results specialize to those in the literature, particularly those of Filinski and Støvring
Feasibility Study on High Content Reclaimed Rubberised Asphalt Mixtures for Wearing Courses
The use of Reclaimed Rubberised Asphalt Mixtures (RRAM) in road pavement construction is a significant stride in reducing reliance on new materials and reducing waste disposal. RRAM provides a sustainable, cost-effective solution for roads, boosting durability and performance while supporting environmental causes [1, 2]. However, despite its benefits, challenges remain. A thorough exploration of recycling RAM into RRAM is crucial. This study investigates into this, aiming to evaluate RRAM recyclability through a tailored three-step procedure: 1) laboratory production of RRAM, 2) designing RRAM asphalt mixtures using the SUPERPAVE5 concept, and 3) performance-based characterization of RRAM. This comprehensive approach assesses rutting, cracking, and moisture damage resistance. The results highlight RRAM's potential benefits in road construction, shedding light on its recyclability and paving the way for future sustainability-focused research in road-building practices
Advanced Mixing Rheometry for Dynamic Shear Rheometer Testing of Highly Heterogeneous Bituminous Binders
In the era of asphalt mixtures designed with any type of admixture and secondary materials, it is not rare for bitumen technologists to deal with issues in the testing setup of new materials and/or in the interpretation of non-conventional trends of results. Within this family, it happens to have multi-phase bituminous binders with a tendency to phase separation, here defined as highly heterogeneous bituminous binders (HHBBs). Amongst the HHBBs there is certainly the crumb rubber modified bitumen which is being used worldwide even though presenting technical drawbacks, limiting further implementation, such as its stability during storage at high temperature at the asphalt plants. A similar scenario might be encountered also at laboratory scale during high-temperature rotational viscosity testing where the use of conventional methods, developed mainly for the characterization of homogeneous binders, may not be suitable for HHBBs. This study wants to address this technical issue by introducing enhanced mixing rheometry for cup-and-bob systems as an optimal solution tailored for dynamic shear rheometers rotational testing of HHBBs. The investigation evaluates two types of HHBBs, an 18% Crumb Rubber Modified Binder and a 6% Polymer Modified Binder, by testing them through four different impellers to record possible differences in viscosity measurement trends. The laboratory experiments were augmented by a numerical analysis to visually assess the stability of HHBBs during rotational testing. The results obtained from this combined empirical and numerical approach indicate that the current rotational measurement standards are inadequate for HHBBs due to their poor mixing efficiency. However, the use of the dual helical ribbon (ST-26.5-LPG) stirrer, which exhibits improved mixing performance, appears to resolve this issue
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

PVT DATA ESTIMATION FOR RESERVOIR FLUIDS OF FASHA AND GIR FORMATIONS IN GHANI OILFIED, LIBYA
PVT properties are very important in reservoir and production engineering analyses such as material balance calculations, well testing, reserve estimation, inflow performance, production operations and design of surface facilities. It is used to distinguish the properties of reservoir fluids, which is significant in various reservoir studies. The current paper is about a case study of the Ghani oilfield. This study was conducted to highlight PVT data analysis for Ghani oil field that carried out on two wells namely and Well XX 11-11 including two rock formations are Facha and Gir Formations respectively. The primary objective of this study is to present the most commonly used PVT correlations and properties for saturation pressure (psat), solution gas/oil ratio (Rs), oil density ( ), deviation factor (z) and the gas formation volume factor (Bg) at saturation pressure. A subsurface sample was collected from the subjected wells for use in a reservoir fluid study. The results that obtained from different tests revealed that the hydrocarbon composition analysis of the studied fluid for the investigated Well XX-1-11 of Facha Formation shows heptanes plus 59.91 mole percent, with specific density 0.8463 and API 35.5; while in Well XX 11-11 of Gir Formation is 54.76 mole percent with specific density, 0.8476 and API 35.3. The saturated pressures are 283 and 351 psig with viscosity 1.02 and 1.37 centipoise at 130 and 122ºF respectively. The results of reservoir fluid data of separation tests showing a variation in values for the investigated parameters e. g., gas/oil ratio, stock tank gravity (ºAPI), formation volume factor, separator volume factor and specific gravity of flashed gas at different ranges of pressure and separator temperature 75ºF for both the two wells. The hydrocarbon analysis of separator gas samples were examined at different conditions e. g. 80 @ 75ºF, 40 @ 75ºF and 0 psig @ 75ºF.
