Storytelling to Raise Learners' Awareness of Values in English Lessons in Pre-school
No full textDiploma darba mērķis bija izpētīt, kā stāsti var veicināt pirmsskolas izglītības iestāžu audzēkņu izpratni par vērtībām angļu valodas nodarbībās. Darba tēma tika izvēlēta tāpēc, ka autors uzskatīja, ka vērtībizglītībai ir svarīga loma bērnu audzināšanā, tā palīdz veidot pieklājīgus sabiedrības locekļus. Pēdējos gados vecāki un izglītības iestādes ir sākuši diskusijas par vērtībizglītības nozīmi.
Autors veica atsevišķa gadījuma pētījumu un izmantoja stāstus angļu valodas nodarbībās pirmskolā, lai veicinātu skolēnu izpratni par vērtībām, trīs mēnešus garumā. Tika konstatēts, ka stāstu stāstīšana ir veiksmīga metode, lai mācītu ļoti jaunus audzēkņus. Autors secināja, ka stāstu un uzdevumu izmantošana ne tikai paaugstināja audzēkņu informētību par vērtībām, bet arī veicināja viņu izpratni par to nozīmi.The Aim of the Diploma Paper was to study how storytelling can contribute to raising learners’ awareness of values in English classes pre-school. The theme of the Paper was chosen because the Author found that values education has an important role in children’s upbringing, it helps to form decent members of society. Recent years parents and educational institutions have started discussions about the importance of values education.
The Author conducted a case study and used storytelling in English lessons in pre-school to raise learner’s awareness of values over the period of three months.
It was found that storytelling is a successful method for teaching very young learners. The Author concluded that using storytelling along with activities benefited not only to raising the learners’ awareness of values, but it contributed to their comprehension of the importance of values

Iako autorka navodi u samom naslovu da je publikacija zasnovana na preporukama Jad Vašema, ona daleko prevazilazi osnovne obrazovne smernice ove memorijalne institucije i predstavlјa originalni metodički doprinos promišlјanju i izvođenju obrazovanja o Holokaustu u našem lokalnom kontekstu.The publication "What you are doing is important: learning about the Holocaust according to the recommendations of Yad Vashem" by Nada Banjanin Đuričić is a manual intended for teachers and practitioners in the field of education in Serbia who want to deal with the topic of the Holocaust with students of the older grades of primary and secondary school. Automated model discovery for human cardiac tissue: Discovering the best model and parameters
No full textFor more than half a century, scientists have developed mathematical models to understand the behavior of the human heart. Today, we have dozens of heart tissue models to choose from, but selecting the best model is limited to expert professionals, prone to user bias, and vulnerable to human error. Here we take the human out of the loop and automate the process of model discovery. Towards this goal, we establish a novel incompressible orthotropic constitutive neural network to simultaneously discover both, model and parameters, that best explain human cardiac tissue. Notably, our network features 32 individual terms, 8 isotropic and 24 anisotropic, and fully autonomously selects the best model, out of more than 4 billion possible combinations of terms. We demonstrate that we can successfully train the network with triaxial shear and biaxial extension tests and systematically sparsify the parameter vector with L1-regularization. Strikingly, we robustly discover a four-term model that features a quadratic term in the second invariant I2, and exponential quadratic terms in the fourth and eighth invariants I4f, I4n, and I8fs. Importantly, our discovered model is interpretable by design and has parameters with well-defined physical units. We show that it outperforms popular existing myocardium models and generalizes well, from homogeneous laboratory tests to heterogeneous whole heart simulations. This is made possible by a new universal material subroutine that directly takes the discovered network weights as input. Automating the process of model discovery has the potential to democratize cardiac modeling, broaden participation in scientific discovery, and accelerate the development of innovative treatments for cardiovascular disease. Legal Aspects of the Age Discrimination
No full textMaģistra darba nosaukums ir „Diskriminācijas pēc vecuma aizliegums un to regulējošo tiesību normu efektivitāte Latvijā”.
Darbā ir analizēts diskriminācijas jēdziens saturs, diskriminācijas pēc vecuma tiesiskais regulējums starptautiskajās un ES tiesībās, aprakstīta Eiropas Padomes direktīva 2000/78 EK un minētās direktīvas transponēšana Latvijā un citās ES dalībvalstīs. Darbā, izmantojot statistikas datus un aptauju rezultātus, noskaidrota sabiedrības izpratne par diskriminācijas jautājumiem un situāciju Latvijā, attieksme pret diskriminācijas novēršanu un iedzīvotāju informētība par aizskarto tiesību aizsardzības iespējām.
Darba izstrādes gaitā ir analizēti Eiropas Kopienu tiesas prejudiciālie nolēmumi, ES dalībvalstu vienlīdzīgas attieksmes iestāžu lēmumi, kā arī Latvijas Satversmes tiesas un vispārējās jurisdikcijas tiesu spriedumi diskriminācijas pēc vecuma aizlieguma pārkāpuma gadījumos. Darbā vērtēta Latvijas normatīvā regulējuma un diskriminācijas upuru tiesiskās aizsardzības iespēju atbilstība Nodarbinātības direktīvas prasībām, kuras mērķis ir nepieļaut un apkarot diskrimināciju, tai skaitā, pēc vecuma un izveidot kopēju sistēmu vienlīdzīgai attieksmei pret nodarbinātību, profesiju un profesionālo apmācību. Darbā analizētas diskriminācijas pēc vecuma aizlieguma piemērošanas tiesiskās problēmas, novērtēta esošā tiesiskā regulējuma efektivitāte, izteikti priekšlikumi apzināto problēmu risināšanai
Par tēmas aktualitāti liecina diskriminācijas pēc vecuma ietekme uz personas sociālo statusu, kā arī uz valsts ekonomisko situāciju un ilgtermiņa attīstības rādītājiem.The topic of the master paper is “Prohibition of the Age Discrimination and Efficiency of the Legislation Regulating in Latvia”.
In the paper, the notion and the content of the term “discrimination” is analyzed, legal regulations on age discrimination in the international and EU law are examined, the Council Directive 2000/78/EC and transposing of the above mentioned directive into the legislation of Latvia and other EU Member States is analyzed. By analysing statistical data and survey results, the paper provides an explicit insight into the issues of discrimination and the situation in Latvia, attitude towards discrimination prevention and awareness of the inhabitants of possible right protection measures.
When elaborating the paper, the preliminary rulings of the European Court of Justice, decisions of institutions of the EU Member States for equal attitude, as well as judgments of the Constitutional Court and the courts of general jurisdiction on breach of age discrimination prohibition were analyzed. In the paper, the author assesses Latvian normative regulation and preventive measures available to discrimination victims, as well as compliance thereof with the requirements of the Employment Directive, the objective of which is to prevent and eliminate discrimination, including age discrimination, and to form a common system for an equal attitude towards employment, profession and professional training. In the paper, legal problems regarding application of age discrimination prohibition is analysed, the effectiveness of the current legal regulation is assessed, suggestions for solving the problems highlighted are made.
The urgency of the topic is proven by the influence of age discrimination on the social status of a person, as well as on the economic situation and indices of sustainable development of the State

Music trends that combine with personal life aside from being a place for expressing the expression of the author can also attract the market. The themes of love become the theme of choice by people in early adulthood. Responding to the video, there are two contradictory assumptions about marrying at a young age, some consider it positive and some consider it negative. This study aims to explain through the analysis of the speech situation, that the speaker has a specific purpose. That purpose must be understood in full so that the community is able to assess objectively. The research approach is a pragmatic approach and a qualitative descriptive approach. The data of this research is in the form of speech fragments which are suspected to be directive speech acts. The data source in this study is the speech contained in the music video Dusk and Morning. Data collection techniques using the technique of free and involved involved proficient and note taking techniques. The data analysis method is in the form of a matching method, while the method of presenting the results of data analysis uses the informal method. From this research it is expected to find the meaning in a music video and the value of mutual respect that will be useful with references in life.
Abstrak
Situasi tutur perlu dipahami sebagai penyebab dari munculnya peristiwa tutur yang di dalamnya terdapat tindak tutur tertentu. Analisis situasi tutur menjadi penting untuk dianalisis karena berkaitan dengan pemahaman maksud dari tuturan. Tujuan dari menganalisis situasi tutur adalah untuk meminimalkan kesalahpahaman dalam berkomunikasi dengan cara memahami. Dengan menganalisis situasi tutur dapat ditentukan jenis tindak tutur. Selain itu, maksud akan dipahami dengan alasan yang rasional. Tren musik yang digabungkan dengan kehidupan pribadi selain sebagai wadah pengungkapan ekspresi pengarangnya, juga dapat menarik pasar. Tema-tema cinta menjadi tema pilihan oleh orang-orang yang berada pada usia dewasa awal. Terhadap video tersebut terdapat dua anggapan yang bertentangan tentang menikah di usia muda, ada yang menganggapnya positif dan ada yang menganggapnya negatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan melalui analisis situasi tutur, bahwa penutur memiliki maksud tertentu. Maksud itu harus dipahami secara utuh agar masyarakat mampu menilai secara objektif. Pendekatan penelitian ini berupa pendekatan pragmatik dan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa penggalan tuturan yang diduga merupakan tindak tutur direktif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tuturan yang terdapat pada video musik Senja dan Pagi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Metode analisis data berupa metode padan, sedangkan metode penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode informal. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menemukan maksud dalam sebuah video musik dan nilai saling menghargai yang akan berguna dengan referensi dalam kehidupan.

Optimalizace výrobního procesu ventilu OM654 EGR ve firmě KSM Castings CZ s.r.o.
No full textDiplomová práce vznikla ve spolupráci s firmou KSM Castings CZ s.r.o. Jejím tématem bylo navržení optimalizace stávajícího výrobního procesu strojní součásti OM654 EGR ventil. Celkem byly sepsány 3 návrhy na optimalizaci výrobního procesu. V návrhu č. 1 je navržena komplexní automatická linka, která zahrnuje proces výroby od operace vysokotlakého lití až po operaci vizuální kontroly obrobků. Mezi dílčími operacemi je vedený dopravník. Všechny tyto operace jsou obsluhovány roboty. V návrhu č. 2 bylo počítáno se zavedením automatické linky v prostorách obrobny. Automatická linka v návrhu č. 2 je tvořena soustavou dopravníků, rotační pračkou, 2 roboty a 2 stanicemi pro tlakovou zkoušku vzduchem. Návrh č. 3 je optimalizací návrhu č. 2. V návrhu č. 3 jsou do automatické linky z návrhu č. 2 implementována 2 jednoúčelová zařízení. První z nich zajišťuje odstranění hrotů po obrábění. Druhé zajišťuje ofukování dílů tlakovým vzduchem a 100% měření daných průměrů.Ze tří navržených optimalizací výrobního procesu byl vybrán pro firmu KSM Castings nejvýhodnější. Vítězný návrh byl podroben detailní analýze z hlediska výrobních časů, počtu pracovníků, množství vyrobených kusů strojní součásti OM654 a celkového ekonomického zhodnocení procesu.The Master thesis was created in a cooperation with a company KSM Castings CZ s.r.o. The main topic of the thesis was to design an optimalization of the actual manufacturing process of the machine part OM654 AGR valve.It were created three proposals of the optimalization of the actual manufacturing process. The first proposal was the design of a complex automatic production line, which includes production process from a Die casting to a visual control. A conveyor is guided between the partial operations. All of the partial operations are operated by robots. The second proposal was the design of an automatic line in a hall for machining. The automatic line from the second proposal is formed of the conveyor systems, a Twister washing machine, two robots and 2 machines for leak testing. The third proposal is optimalization of the second proposal. Two single purpose machines are implemented to the automatic line from the second proposal. The first of two single purpose machines removes from machined parts burrs. The second one is used for blowing the parts and 100% measurement of diameters.One of three proposals, which were designed by the author of the thesis, was chosen as the most appreciate for the company KSM Castings. The winning proposal was analyzed in the detail. It was analyzed productions times, number of workers and number of the manufactured pieces of the machine part OM654 AGR valve. In the end was written economic evaluation of the process in the winning proposal

No full textDiplomová práce představuje koncept filosofické antropologie Friedricha Schillera. Práce je rozčleněna na tři okruhy. První okruh prezentuje dobové zasazení a prameny, které nejenom ovlivňovaly autorovy spisy, ale i autora samotného. Druhý okruh se zabývá koncepcí člověka optikou filosofických spisů, kde je sledována linka personální a politické svobody. Třetí okruh se pohledem uměním zaměřuje na jedincovo jednání a demonstruje na konkrétním díle lidské drama a utrpení. Zároveň je reflektován autorův morální přesah. Přínosem této práce je zhodnocení a shrnutí důležitých estetických aspektů v morálním jednání jedince.The thesis presents the concept of Friedrich Schiller's philosophical anthropology. This is divided into three section. The first section submits the period setting and source that not only influence the author's works but also the author himself. The second deals with the concept of man through the lens of philosophical books, where line of personal and political freedom is followed. The third focuses on the individual's actions through the perspective of works of art and demonstrates human drama and suffering in specific works. At the same time the author's moral overlap is reflected. Jejím cílem je popsat charakteristiky hovorů s klienty, kteří volali ve stadiu započatého sebevražedného pokusu na Linku důvěry Centra sociálních služeb Praha v průběhu pěti let (2003-2007). Teoretická část práce se zabývá tématikou sebevraždy a obecnou charakteristikou linek důvěry, kterou zasazuje do kontextu telefonické krizové intervence. Praktická část práce se zabývá podrobnou analýzou 35 sebevražedných pokusů. Šetření se opírá o metodu analýzy spisové dokumentace, s využitím zkušeností autorky z praxe.The Bachelor`s thesis deals with Analysis of initiative suicidal attempt incidents in phone hot line intervention. Its main target is to describe characteristics of dialogues with clients that called to {\clqq}linka duvery{\crqq} hot line center of social services in Prague between years 2003 and 2007 in their initiative suicidal attempt. The theoretical part inquires into suicides and the hot line basic characteristics that take place in phone crisis intervention. The practical part describes in details analysis of 35 suicidal attempts. The investigation is based on analysis of file documentations together with author´s practical experience
Baroque Parish Church in Radecznica: research and conservation issues
No full textOpracowanie omawia dzieje wzniesienia barokowego kościoła parafialnego w Radecznicy na przełomie XVII i XVIII wieku, a także jego późniejsze losy ściśle powiązane z historią Polski, co wpłynęło znacząco na pierwotną stylistykę świątyni oraz zniszczenie części XVII-wiecznego wystroju. Obecny wygląd wnętrza kościoła stanowi w większości odtworzenie polichromii, ołtarzy, obrazów, pod ścisłą opieką konserwatora zabytków, niezachowanych z powodu licznych zniszczeń przez pożary oraz przekształcenia (kolejno w cerkiew, monastyr), konfiskat i grabieży w czasach komunizmu. Świątynia jest mało znanym i niedocenianym dziełem projektu Jana Michała Linka, autora zamojskich fortyfikacji. Do czasów współczesnych przetrwała bez zmiany stylistyki zewnętrznej jej bryły, zachwyca także polichromią pędzla Gabriela Sławińskiego. Aktualnie obiekt doprowadzono do dobrego stanu, ukończone zostały wszelkie prace renowacyjne.This study discusses the history of the rise of the Baroque parish church in Radecznica at the turn of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, as well as its later fate closely related to Polish history, which significantly influenced the original design of the church and the destruction of a part of the seventeenth-century décor. The present appearance of the church’s interior is mostly a recreation of polychrome, altars, paintings, under the strict care of the conservator of monuments, which had not survived due to being damaged by fires and transformation (successively into an orthodox church, monastery), and confiscation and looting during the Communist era. The church is a little-known and underrated work of Jan Michał Link, the author of Zamość’s fortifications. It has survived without any stylistic changes to its body, and also impresses with the polychrome by Gabriel Sławiński. Currently, the building has been restored to good condition and all renovation work has been completed
