Interjú Théodore Trefon-nal: Készítette: Baracs Róbert
During a conversation with Théodore Trefon in his office in Tervuren, I asked personal and professional questions about his life, studies, research, and his personal views on the past, present, and future of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Théodore originally came from the USA and settled in Belgium partly due to his mentor and partly because of his research topics. He examines the former Belgian colony from a political-economic perspective, including its historical aspects. As he works with extremely contemporary issues, he often travels to Congo, including its dangerous eastern regions, for his field research. He is a researcher, educator, and author of numerous essays and books, with extensive knowledge about Congo. He is a researcher at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, near Brussels.A tervureni irodájában Théodore Trefonnal folytatott beszélgetés során személyes és szakmai kérdéseket tettem fel életéről, tanulmányairól, kutatásairól és személyes véleményéről a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaság múltjáról, jelenéről és jövőjéről. Théodore eredetileg az USA-ból származik, és részben mentorának, részben kutatási témájának köszönhetően Belgiumban telepedett le. Az egykori belga gyarmatot politikai-gazdasági megközelítésében, azok történelmi vonatkozásaival együtt vizsgálja. Mivel rendkívül kortárs témákkal dolgozik, gyakran utazik Kongóba, melynek veszélyes, keleti részén is megfordult terepkutatásai során. Jelenleg a Brüsszelhez közeli Tervurenben található Közép-afrikai Királyi Múzeumban dolgozik kutatóként

The research aims to identify the perceptions, knowledge and expectations of higher education students about the business service sector, focusing mainly on the shared service organizations. These students are seemed as potential employees of the sector. The questionnaire research assessed how these students' competences fit to the demand of the business service employers. How are the knowledge and preparedness of the students about the business service sector and mainly about the main players? How could the students differentiate the main organizational forms of the sector, do they know the most important differences? Do they like to work for these companies? The research introduces one institutional result of an international research led by the author
Fyzika neutrin na experimentu NOvA
Title: Neutrino physics at NOvA experiment Author: Róbert Králik Institute: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Karel Soustružník, Ph.D., Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Abstract: This thesis describes neutrino phenomenology, with special aim at the phenomenon of sterile neutrinos and its experimental study, particularly in the NOvA experiment. Its aim is to clearly and comprehensibly introduce sterile neutrinos in context of historical and present measurements and discoveries. A brief summary of neutrino history is shown, as well as the theory of neutrino oscillations, including a description of matter effects and the effect of adding sterile neutrinos on the oscillation probabilities. NOvA experiment is presented, describing the neutrino source, the detectors and the used particle identification methods. Different experiments for the study of sterile neutrinos are listed and shortly described, with special concentration on the NOvA experiment and its measurement via the neutral-current channel. A detailed description of the first NOvA sterile neutrino result is provided, as well as the aspects of NOvA's current sterile neutrino analyses. Keywords: neutrino, neutrino oscillations, sterile neutrinos, NOvA experiment 1Název práce: Fyzika neutrin na experimentu NOvA Autor: Róbert Králik Ústav: Ústav částicové a jaderné fyziky Vedoucí bakalářské práce: RNDr.
Off simulácie a analýzu Horn-Off výsledkov. Neboli sme schopní vyvodiť závery, ktoré by boli schopné znížiť systematickú odchýlku analýzi miznutia neutrálnych prúdov, ale tu ukázané výsledky môžu byť nápomocne pri budúcich pokusoch o lepšiu prepoveď prúdu neutrín a jeho nižšiu neurčitosť. This introduces among other things a bigger contribution of the neutrino flux systematic uncertainty, which currently makes up the largest overall uncertainty for the ongoing NC disappearance anal- ysis. This thesis focuses on reducing this uncertainty and looks for different ways of making a more precise prediction of the neutrino flux. We point out Horn-Off analysis as the base for doing so and describe the production of a new Horn-Off simulation and the analysis of the Horn-Off results. We were not able to draw any conclusions that would reduce the NC disappearance systematic uncertainty, but the results showed herein can be helpful in the future attempts at a better neutrino flux prediction and a lower neutrino flux systematic uncertainty.
Kríž zároveň zjavuje zlobu hriechu, ktorá spočíva v...AN ENGLISH ANNOTATION Róbert Spišák THE MYSTERY OF SUFFERING IN THE POPE JOHN PAUL II' S. The thesis The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce John Paul II's view of the mystery of suffering. Based on the Pope's writings, the author is attempting to find the main theological motives that make suffering meaningful. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The starting point is the third chapter, which describes the mystery of suffering. Pope John Paul II. sees the answer to suffering in God's revelation of His love to a man. Christ on the cross reveals the love of God, which is faithful, and is even willing to sacrifice life for a man. God, who loves in such a way, could not have wanted for a man to suffer. Suffering came to the world trough man's freedom that decided for sin and thus betrayed Love. Jesus' suffering reveals also the evil of the sin that has separated a man from God. Jesus as a perfect man, new Adam, also reveals the nature of man's vocation. A man is called to love and self-sacrifice. Christ wants a man to follow Him. Resurrection of Christ assures us that love is stronger than any evil. As suffering came into being trough rejection of love, its significance is utterly in return to love. Trough fait a man can uncover in their own suffering and in suffering of the others, Jesus'...Department of Dogmatic and Fundamental TheologyKatedra fundamentální a dogmatické teologieCatholic Theological FacultyKatolická teologická fakult
