The way i see it : a Gauri Lankesh reader
Gauri Lankesh was the definitive activist-journalist, someone whose head and heart worked as one to encompass her life. Gathered here is a selection from Gauri’s writings, spanning languages, publications and the length of her career. It flags the unfinished work and uphill struggles that remain her legacy, but also preserves her companionable voice for us to cherish, a talisman and inspiration. She was taken away from us in the middle of life, of living busily, large-heartedly, and with a clear gaze on the world—the qualities that animate this collection

Pharmaceutical Study of Gauri Gairikadhya Churna
Ayurveda is one of the most ancient health care systems. The main aim of Ayurveda is Swasthasya swasthya rakshanam Aturasya vikara prashamanam i.e.; promotion of health and eradication of diseases. The disease Vyanga is one of the Kshudra roga. Many formulations have been described in our classical texts regarding Vyanga. One among them is Gauri gairikadhya Churna. Gauri gairikadhya churna is a classical herbo-mineral formulation mentioned in Basavarajeeyam, Kshudra roga adhikara indicated for Vyanga as a Lepa. Lepa preparations are topical medicaments meant for external application. Gauri gairikadhya churna contains Haridra, Daruharidra, Manjishta, Goghrita, Gaura sarshapa, Gairika, Ajaksheera (as Bhavana Dravya). The pharmaceutical procedure adopted in this study are Shodhana, Churna nirmana and Bhavana of Gauri gairikadhya churna. Bhavana of the Churna is done with Aja ksheera which adds more potency to the formulation. Till now, no research work has been carried out to standardize the method of preparation of Gauri gairikadhya churna. Therefore, the present study has been carried out to standardize the method of preparation of Gauri gairikadhya churna mentioned in classics

Issues in the historical phonology of Gauri Jingpho
The aim of this paper is two-fold: (a) to argue that Gauri Jingpho, an underdescribed dialect of Jingpho spoken by small populations in hill tracts east of Bhamo, Burma (Myanmar), belongs to the Southern group within Jingpho dialects despite its superficial similarity to the Northern group; and (b) to provide phonological developments and a notable retention of Gauri phonology. This paper classifies Gauri into the Southern group within Jingpho dialects on the basis of irregular phonological developments in which proto-final *-k and proto-prefix *n- dropped in some specific lexical items, and on the basis of not having all the four phonological innovations which all the Northern dialects share. This paper will show that the phonological similarities between Gauri and Northern dialects are due to shared retentions or parallel innovations occurred independently. This paper also provides phonological developments in Gauri, which can be summarized as follows: *ph- > f-; *kh- > h-; *-k > -Ɂ; *-k > Ø (sporadic);*-a > -o/*w- or *Ɂw-_ (sporadic); *-a > -e/*y- or *Ɂy-_ *-t or *-n. This paper also shows that Gauri is well preserves Proto-Jingpho medial *-r- as -r-, which has irregularly developed into -y- in some Jingpho dialects, on the basis of comparative evidence
Gauri as woman protagonist in Mulk Raj Anand's novel
Through this novel "Gauri" Mulk Raj Anand expresses his indisputable concern for the suffering humanity of India. It forces one to ask a few questions about the Indian character of woman. We call the woman as "Mother", "Goddess" and claim that our society always been given due respect to women. At the same time, we also beat them ablaze or turn them out of the house. Mulk Raj Anand's novel Gauri eloquently exposes the hypocrisy of our society. It not only voices a strong protest against ill treatment of women but also explores through the example of Gauri what woman in India should do for her emancipation
Self Transformation of Gauri in Jhumpa Lahiri's The Lowland
Jhumpa Lahiri is one of the prominent names in Diasporic Literature. In Jhumpa Lahiri's work The Lowland (2013), the idea of personality is especially significant, and various characters can be broke down as needs are. An Indian lady Gauri, being a widow and hitched to her previous spouse's sibling, is the principal character. Gauri starts to discover her new, different (possible present or future) personalities after relocating to America. In this way, the paper targets discussing how the personality of Gauri changes across the novel based on identity transformation, which indicates Gauri as a diasporic character. The discussion is established on the theory of identity. It shows how relocation transforms into transparency and affects Gauri's character
