Developing a heritage management plan for galta temple and structures plan galta temple and structures along the galta path in jaipur
The Galta Hill pilgrimage site holds significant importance due to its array of pilgrimage sites, such as Galta Kund, the Sun Temple, a cluster of temples within the Temple complex, and numerous historical structures along the route. These structures have a rich history, primarily dating back to the 18th century, and have been revered as the dwelling places of esteemed saints like Galav Rishi and Payohari Bawa, who sought solace in their meditation practices within this sacred environment. The site attracts a considerable number of domestic and international tourists on a daily basis who embark on a pilgrimage trek along a stone-paved road that leads to the Galta Temple Complex, situated at a lower level in the valley towards the east. The Sun Temple, constructed by Rao Kirpa Ram during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Raja Jai Singh II, holds particular significance as an essential stop along the pilgrimage journey. However, despite its historical and cultural significance, the Galta Hill pilgrimage site has experienced a decline in recent times. This decline manifests in multiple aspects, including the deterioration of architectural features and an overall decrease in its cultural importance. Contemporary observations reveal a significant departure from the site's original character, mainly due to negligence and a lack of proper management. As a result, historical evidence associated with the site has gradually disappeared, posing a threat to the preservation of its heritage. In light of these challenges, the objective of this research thesis is to ascertain the value and significance of the Galta Hill pilgrimage site while addressing the existing gaps that have contributed to its decline. By conducting an in-depth study, this research aims to understand and highlight the cultural, historical, and architectural significance of the site. Furthermore, it aims to propose strategies and recommendations to ensure the preservation and protection of the Galta Hill pilgrimage site, enabling its revitalization and restoration to its former glor

AGING AMONG THE AARI IN RURAL SOUTHWESTERN ETHIOPIA: LIVELIHOOD AND DAILY INTERACTIONS OF THE "GALTA
This paper examines the conditions of elderly individuals living in rural southwestern Ethiopia by investigating their daily activities and their work lives, including how and with whom they work. This research was conducted primarily in one location in southwestern Ethiopia where many Aari individuals reside. All 16 elderly individuals, known as galta, who resided in this region received perfect scores on a measure of their ability to perform basic activities of daily livings (ADLs). They attempted to reduce their daily workloads by living near those who were related to them by blood or by marriage. Aari individuals who decrease their social interaction due to age or sickness are said to be tired (lanqta). Even elderly people without relatives required additional support. Indeed, galta often face severe hardships, but they can earn a living by relying on longstanding social relationships initially established before they became galta
Mjuzikl "Kosa" Galta MacDermota
Mjuzikl Kosa, skladatelja Galta MacDermota, jedno je od najznačajnijih kazališnih djela šezdesetih godina 20. stoljeća. Zbog svoje tematike i velike količine glazbenih brojeva, Kosa je napravila prekretnicu u kazališnom svijetu. Sadrži poznate glazbene brojeve poput Aquarius, Donna, Manchester, England, I Got Life, Hair, Let The Sun Shine In koji se i danas vrlo često izvode. Musical Hair, by composer Galt MacDermot, is one of the most significant theatrical works from the 60s of the 20th century. Because of its theme and many musical numbers, Hair has made a milestone in the theatrical world. It contains famous music tracks such as Aquarius, Donna, Manchester, England, I Got Life, Hair, Let The Sun Shine In which are still very often performed today. This thesis presents the development of musical, composer’s biography and work, and the musical Hair. The musical contains a summary of theatrical and film versions, a description of the main characters, and a formal analysis of musical numbers. Additionally, the theme Musical is presented as a teaching unit in general education schools
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
