No full textThis draft is the first attempt to establish a UK MARC specifically for Archives and Manuscripts Control since the British Library indicated that it would countenance such extensions to the national UK MARC format. In order to keep consistency with the general UK MARC format, standard UK MARC subject fields are not included in this document, since they should be taken from the latest version of the UK MARC manual. {A note of them should perhaps be included in UK MARC AMC.} {NB Text in braces is intended to be explanatory material for readers of this draft}. Certain other fields have not been included that might occasionally be used in the cataloguing of archival materials but would generally only be used for such materials in organizations which were combining archive
databases with library databases. This MARC version is intended for use with descriptions of archive or anuscript material that follow, or fit, the traditional style of cataloguing: we assume that these will normally relate
to paper or parchment originals. It is not intended for use with descriptions of other kinds of material. For these, fields may be drawn from the appropriate UK MARC document. MARC versions for use with archives in special formats should be developed, in order to complete the full range of facilities available to archivists and curators
Du dessus au dedans: une approche biogéographique emboîtée des îlots boisés
No full textAs a mean to understand landscape diversity, we chose a stacked approach, merging ground investigation ana remote sensing imagery. The methodology starts from spatial sampling, allowinq the analyst to study the islet both from above and from the inside, describing both landscape diversity and structures diversity. We are then describing forest islets as society-related, highly humanized areas, then as relicts of confrontation between natural constraints and human action. Landscape and forest diversity of islets is largely influenced by human activity and local history, notably forestry traditions. Current forest islets are indelible clues of history expressed in forest structures and landscape structures. Such traces are underlining inheritated forestry model and social behaviours.Une démarche emboîtée, associant imagerie satellitale et enquête de terrain, est mise au point à partir d'un échantillonnage spatial, qui consiste à approcher les îlots boisés de l'extérieur puis de l'intérieur. Cette démarche emboîtée donne non seulement une vision du dessus et du dedans, mais propose aussi une dialectique entre espace et milieu, puisque les îlots boisés sont le résultat d'une longue confrontation entre les contraintes naturelles et les interventions humaines. Au- delà de leur rôle strictement écologique, les îlots boisés participent aussi à la structuration des paysages ruraux, et remplissent en outre des fonctions, plus ou moins importantes, de production, de protection et de récréation. Très largement influencée par l'homme et le poids de l'histoire des sociétés, la diversité de ces espaces boisés s'exprime notamment dans les structures forestières et paysagères.Galochet Marc.
