    Isolasi dan Elusidasi Struktur Kimia Flavonoida dari Daun Pala (Myristica Fragrans Houtt) dan Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan

    Research on plant leaves Myristica fragrans Houtt Pala was aimed to find a chemical compound and antioxidant activity with 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazil (,-diphenyl--picrylhidrazyl) atau DPPH radical-scavenging methods. Extraction have done by maceration using the methanol solvent, methanol extract was added ethylacetate solvent and filtered. Ethylacetate extract partioned with methanol : n-hexane (1:1) and then ethylacetate fractions were hydrolised with HCl 6%. The total flavonoid yielded was separated using column chromatography with silica gel 60 as stasionary phase and n-hexane : ethylacetate as mobile phase (gradient elution). After that coloumn chromatography find to three flavonoid compounds and then do identify with UV, FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT and NMR-2D (COSY, HMQC and HMBC). That compound called as 3,5,7,4-tetrahydroxy-dihydroflavonol or dihydrocaempferol; 3,5,7,4-tetrahydroxy flavonol or Kaempferol and 3,5,7,3,4-pentahydroxy flavonol or Quercetin with antioxidant activity 9,75; 6,85 and 4,85 ppm respectively.Penelitian terhadap daun Pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt) bertujuan untuk mengetahui senyawa kimia (struktur kimia) dan aktivitas antioksidan dengan menggunakan 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazil (,-diphenyl--picrylhidrazyl) atau DPPH radical-scavenging. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol, ekstrak pekat metanol ditambahkan pelarut etilasetat dan disaring. Ekstrak etil asetat dipartisi dengan metanol : n-heksana (1:1), kemudian ekstrak pekat etil asetat dihidrolisis dengan HCl 6%. Total flavonoid yang diperoleh dipisahkan menggunakan kromatografi kolom dengan fasa diam silika gel 60 dan fasa gerak campuran n-heksana : etil asetat (elusi gradien). Hasil kromatografi kolom ditemukan tiga senyawa flavonoid yang dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi dengan analisis UV, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT dan NMR-2D (COSY, HMQC dan HMBC). Senyawa yang ditemukan tersebut dinyatakan sebagai 3,5,7,4-tetrahidroksi-dihidroflavonol atau dihidrokaempferol; 3,5,7,4-tetrahidroksi flavonol atau Kaempferol dan yaitu 3,5,7,3,4-pentahidroksi flavonol atau Quercetin dengan aktivitas antioksidan berturut-turut 9,75; 6,85 dan 4,85 ppm.119 HalamanDisertasi Dokto

    It has been tested antifungal essential oils from the leaves of Wedelia biflora, leaves of Citrus hystrix Dc, leaves of Ocimum basilicum L., and flower Caesalpinia pulcherima L. at concentrations of 10, 5 and 1% against C. albicans. using the Kirby-Bower. The antifungal activity of essential oils the leaves of Citrus hystrix Dc with a concentration of 10%, 5% and 1% respectively show the average of the inhibition zone by 24.5 mm, 23 mm and 10 mm. Essential oils leaves of Ocimum basilicum L at concentrations of 10%, 5% and 1% respectively had average inhibition zone of 11.5 mm, 10.5 mm and 6 mm. leaves of Ocimum basilicum L., and flower Caesalpinia pulcherima L showed no inhibition of the C. Albicans

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
