Lola Szereszewska (1895–1943) – zapomniana poetka pogranicza
No full textThis article aims at reading “Uchodźcom” [“To Refugees”] in the context of Polish-Jewish literature. A forgotten poet of the interwar period in Poland, Lola (Leonia) Szereszewska (1895–1943, born Lola Rotbard) is mostly unknown to readers and academics; she was, however, a respected author in after World War I. She published five volumes of poetry and poetic prose: Kontrasty [Contrasts] (1917), Trimurti. Fantazje historyczne [Trimurti. Historical Fancies] (1919), Ulica [The Street] (1930), Niedokończony dom [The Unfinished Home] (1936), Gałęzie [Branches] (1938), all in prestigious publishing houses. Reading her poems allows us to investigate the universal processes of exclusion and alienation.Artykuł ma na celu interpretację wiersza Uchodźcom autorstwa zapomnianej poetki dwudziestolecia międzywojennego w kontekście literatury polsko-żydowskiej. Lola (Leonia) Szereszewska (1895–1943) z domu Rotbard jest we współczesnej recepcji badawczej i czytelniczej, z małymi wyjątkami, nieobecna, tymczasem w dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym była autorką rozpoznawalną. Wydała pięć tomów wierszy i prozy poetyckiej: Kontrasty (1917), Trimurti. Fantazje historyczne (1919), Ulica (1930), Niedokończony dom (1936), Gałęzie (1938), które zostały opublikowane w liczących się wydawnictwach. Interpretacja utworu poetyckiego pozwala zbadać uniwersalne procesy wykluczenia i wyobcowania

Étude des isotones N = 81 : 139Ce, 141Nd, 143Sm, au moyen des réactions (d, t ) et (3He, α)
No full textLes niveaux excités des isotones N = 81 : 139Ce, 141Nd, 143Sm, ont été étudiés au Tandem MP d'Orsay jusqu'à plus de 3 MeV d'énergie d'excitation, essentiellement au moyen d'un spectromètre magnétique split pole, en utilisant les réactions (d, t) à 26,21 MeV (resolution :14 keV) et (3He, α) à 25 MeV (résolution : 23 keV). Les distributions angulaires correspondant à un grand nombre de niveaux finaux (~ 90 pour les 3 isotones) ont été analysées en approximation de Born avec ondes distordues (DWBA). Beaucoup des niveaux analysés (plus de 30) n'avaient pas été observés ou séparés dans les expériences (p, d) ou (d, t) antérieures. La force à une particule est généralement répartie sur plusieurs niveaux, la fragmentation étant particulièrement importante pour les sous-couches 2d 5/2 et 1g 7/2. Des calculs tenant compte du couplage des états à un trou avec les états collectifs du cœur, effectués par Heyde et Brussaard, reproduisent convenablement la partie de basse énergie d'excitation des spectres expérimentaux, mais ne reproduisent pas la fragmentation observée à énergie d'excitation plus élevée
"Encystation": Containment and Control in Israeli Ideology and Practice
No full textThe radical closure of Gaza serves here as an extreme example of a process of
isolation and immiseration of national enemies that is deeply rooted in Israeli
ideology and practices of state formation. I use encystation to reveal the dual
meaning of the term—that of radical isolation of diseased elements and that of
protecting a fetus within a womb—and to show how the two meanings connect
with respective Israeli policies toward Palestinians and Jews. I suggest in closing
that the Oslo Accords have put in place mechanisms for the future imposition
on West Bank Palestinians of the same containment currently afflicting Gaz
