O projeto “Nosso Carvão” tem como objetivo principal desenvolver tecnologias para a produção de carvão vegetal, conservando as florestas nativas e melhorando a qualidade de vida dos agricultores (FANTINI, 2009). O estágio que foi base para o TCC foi realizado no município de Biguaçu, inserindo-se na demanda de melhor conhecer as leis ambientais para adequar as atividades dos agricultores rurais na produção de carvão vegetal

    Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, the 2 major forms of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in humans, arise in genetically predisposed individuals because of an abnormal immune response direct against constituents of the gut flora. Defects in counter-regulatory mechanisms are supposed to amplify and maintain the IBD-associated mucosal inflammation. Therefore, restoring the balance between inflammatory and anti-inflammatory pathways in the gut could contribute to halt the IBD-associated tissue-damaging immune response. Various suppressive T cell (Tregs) subsets have been characterized phenotypically and functionally and over the last decade, there has been enormous effort for optimizing the procedures for the in vitro expansion/generation of these cells for therapeutic purposes. Here we review the mechanisms of action and functional relevance of Tregs in the maintenance of gut inflammation and analyze the available data about the use of these cells in the treatment of IBD patients

    Presents a design and screening approach that can be adopted to improve reliability of high-power 980-nm semiconductor lasers. Flared-ridge waveguide chips were realized on GRIN-SCH single-quantum-well structures. Without any screening, flared devices, thanks to the reduced peak power and current density, showed a 20% reduction in failure rate with respect to devices with straight waveguide. By adopting extended screening criteria, a more reliable population was selected, showing a reduction by a factor of two in the failure rate extrapolated at standard operating conditions

    The paper could limit itself to repeat the complaint that originated the first "Rules of the Rue Morgue", maybe updating the scenario of the many end users currently exposed to the risk of failed failure analyses. Nevertheless, some constructive proposals will be also pointed out, as those exposed by a recent paper (Cassanelli et al., 2005) that, dealing with the challenges in system reliability predictions, proposed some shortcuts to include even few field data into that process, and to include F.A. findings, when reliable, to skip cumbersome (and often not available) extraction of reliability parameters by statistical data. More specifically, in both the reported B and C cases the sudden occurrence of the failure mode was not related to any sudden firing of the root failure mechanisms, but other hidden roots have been identified, with completely different corrective actions with respect to the first interpretations. There is a simple and "correct" conclusion to this result: by means of thorough analyses, the first specimen (IGBT) was indicted for some higher sensitivity to latch-up, and the second (CMOS) to external EMI-induced ESD events. This could move to correct the corresponding pi factors employed for calculating the actual failure rate lambda drawing a physically sound shortcut to the estimation of the reliability parameters for some critical devices of a given electronic syste

    ll presente lavoro propone uno studio basato sull’analisi dell’impatto generato dalla contingenzaCOVID-19 in un Gruppo che opera nel comparto del vitivinicolo. Nello specifico, si sofferma sulle principali reazioni volte a fronteggiare una delle più gravi crisi imbattutesi a livello planetario, focalizzandosi sul controllo di gestione, molto peculiare nel settore enologico. Lo scopo del contributo è quello di evidenziare come siano profondamente mutate, da un lato le esigenze del controllo in azienda e dall’altro,lemodalitàelestrumentazioniadottate per poterlo espletare con funzionalità d’uso. Al tempo stesso, permette di evidenziare strategie “d’emergenza” adottate da un Gruppo solido come quello indagato, che legge e interpreta un mondo completamente mutato, in ottica di con- sumi e dunque di domanda di mercato. Fantini studia, adotta e continua a sperimentare una nuova road map, coniata come non continuity management, che trae spunto da logiche di con- tinuità aziendale, ma con modalità “non da manuale”.Ilmixdiassettangibiliedintangibili,da sempre filosofia gestionale del Gruppo Fantini, si rivelano ancor più sentitamente una chiave di svolta in un momento storico senza precedenti, la giusta reazione nel dimostrarsi resilienti e non resistenti alle crisi
