Metodo di calcolo per la struttura ad arco multivincolata quale rivestimento di prima fase delle gallerie (A calculation method for the multi-supported arch structure as temporary lining of tunnels)
No full textIn the present paper a calculation procedure, which enables the knowledge of the stress strain behaviour of a tunnel lining, is reported. This procedure allows to keep into account both the stresses transmitted by the surrounding mass and the interaction between this and the lining systems: shotcrete and/or concrete lining, sets, pre-tensioned and/or untensioned bolts, lining supports (which can have different performance and efficiency).The tunnel lining is schematized as an arch of a circle of any width; the restrictive hypothesis of a circular cavity is so overcome in the following analyses. The possible displacements of the lining supports and the relative consequences on the stress strain behaviour, are then taken into account.
The formulation and solution of the analysis procedure is considered firstly introducing, in a symbolic way, the parameters characterizing the structure and its context; later on they are conveniently explained to have at one's disposal a method fitted for design applications.
Viene istituito un mezzo di analisi - ovviamente in seguito tradotto in un procedimento di calcolo automatico - capace di valutare il comportamento tenso-deformativo del "rivestimento" del cavo di galleria ponendo in conto in modo unitario la pressione trasmessa dall'ammasso circostante e l'interazione fra questo ed il complesso delle strutture che costituiscono il rivestimento anello di spritz e/o calcestruzzo - centine - bulloni presollecitati e/o passivi, vincoli al piede del rivestimento di diversa tipologia ed efficacia.Il rivestimento viene schematizzato da un arco di cerchio di apertura qualsiasi; la restrittiva ipotesi di cavità circolare viene quindi superata nelle analisi che seguono. I possibili cedimenti vincolari dell'arco di sostegno e le relative conseguenze sul comportamento tenso-deformativo sono quindi stati tenuti in conto. Si procede dapprima alla formulazione e soluzione del mezzo di analisi introducendo in esso, in forma prettamente simbolica, i parametri caratterizzanti la struttura ed il suo contesto; nel seguito questi saranno opportunamente esplicitati per disporre di uno strumento progettuale

No full textThe present paper synthetically reports the main difficulties which arise approaching the stress-strain state analysis at the excavation boundary and in the surrounding medium, when designing a tunnel. The fundamental roles played by the applied pressure at the boundary and the distance between the analyzed section and the advancing face, are particularly underlined. The need of establishing an analysis procedure to face the problems related to an opening schematized as an arc of any width, is stated. This procedure will have to take into account the movements of the lining supports and generalized load conditions.
Nel presente lavoro vengono sinteticamente evidenziate le difficoltà che sorgono nell'affrontare lo studio dello stato di tensione-deformazione ("convergenza") del contorno di un cavo e del mezzo in prossimità di esso. In particolare sono evidenziati i ruoli giocati dalla pressione applicata al contorno e dalla distanza della sezione in esame dal fronte di avanzamento. Viene inoltre dichiarata la necessità di istituire un mezzo di analisi per affrontare le valutazioni inerenti il contorno del cavo avente forma di arco di cerchio di apertura qualsiasi, tenedo conto di cedimenti vincolari e di condizioni di carico diversificate
Opening deformability and lining design in deep tunneling: predictions, remarks and design suggestions.
No full textThe paper synthetically deals with the procedures frequently used to assess the opening convergence, to design the temporary lining, to evaluate the stress and displacement that are characteristics of the achieved equilibrium state. The stiffness of the lining, in its actual shape and not with the usual closed ring modeling, is evaluated; settling lining supports are taken into account as well as differentiated and evolving stresses in the bolts. The results obtained by an extensive parametric study allow the pointing out of some remarks and comparisons

No full textLa stabilizzazione di coltri di terreno instabili o in incipiente instabilità, anche di notevoli spessori, può avvenire adottando quale soluzione progettuale il cosiddetto "reticolo spaziale di micropali". Tale particolare struttura può essere analogamente utilizzata per la realizzazione di sbancamenti che prevedano grandi fronti di scavo, qualora non si possa intervenire con soluzioni di usuale utilizzo.
Il dimensionamento di un reticolo presenta notevoli difficoltà, legate alla iperstaticità della struttura ed alla schematizzazione del comportamento di interazione con il terreno.
Nel presente lavoro si riporta un metodo di calcolo messo a punto per valutare lo stato tensionale e deformativo dell'intera struttura e dei singoli elementi di cui essa è costituita. L'elevata iperstaticità dello schema strutturale viene affrontata con il metodo delle deformazioni; il terreno è ipotizzato "cooperare" con la struttura stessa; la caratterizzazione del terreno richiede la conoscenza di parametri meccanici di usuale utilizzo pratico.
L'influenza che alcuni fattori hanno sulla scelta della configurazione geometrica più efficace viene evidenziata per mezzo di analisi parametriche
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
