Slice-polynomial functions and twistor geometry of ruled surfaces in CP 3
In the present paper we introduce the class of slice-polynomial functions: slice regular functions defined over the quaternions, outside the real axis, whose restriction to any complex half-plane is a polynomial. These functions naturally emerge in the twistor interpretation of slice regularity introduced in Gentili et al. (J Eur Math Soc 16(11):2323–2353, 2014) and developed in Altavilla (J Geom Phys 123:184–208, 2018). To any slice-polynomial function P we associate its companionP ∨ and its extension to the real axis P R , that are quaternionic functions naturally related to P. Then, using the theory of twistor spaces, we are able to show that for any quaternion q the cardinality of simultaneous pre-images of q via P, P ∨ and P R is generically constant, giving a notion of degree. With the brand new tool of slice-polynomial functions, we compute the twistor discriminant locus of a cubic scroll C in CP 3 and we conclude by giving some qualitative results on the complex structures induced by C via the twistor projection
A brief review on physiological commitment in basketball: An interpretative key
The physiological commitment is widely investigated because is the basis of physical training methods and sports sciences. Every sport has a characteristic pattern of exercise and range of exercise intensities which determine the energy requirements in the sport. The review of the literature and scientific documents was conducted through the use of several databases: PubMed, MedLine, Google Scholar. Several studies carry out a lot of data and then they have applied to team sports such as soccer, basketball, handball, rugby. Performance analysis studies show that each team sport has the own and different characteristics and has unique profiles because the indicators are different. The physiological commitment may be different in the several situations analysed and be dependent on the type of mechanics of the running. The results, relative at the intensity, fatigue resistance and ability of to cover wide distances, in varied way, by basketball players during matches, can substantially affect basketball theory and practice. The purpose of this work is to analyse and evaluate the physiological commitment required of basketball players (linear and varied running with and without dribble), trying to extract relevant information from a series of research carried out in different countries of the world, for an interpretative analysis of theoretical and documental results
Effects of the practice of muscle stretching
Stretching is one of the warming methods used by most athletes, because you think would produce, on the one hand, positive effects on athletic performance and, on the other hand, a decrease in the risk of injury. However, despite this wide spread and its enormous application in most sports, stretching is now the subject of numerous controversies of interpretation that are questioning both the effectiveness, the actual usefulness. In fact, the results of scientific studies and sports practice has shown that static stretching would have a negative effect on performance and no reduction in the risk of trauma. Used, instead, for the training of joint mobility can produce significant results as regards the increase in the amplitude articular
Energetic cost in the different running conditions in team sport for the educational teaching method
This case study aims to assess the energetic cost at different running conditions (RC) with/without a ball on: Linear running and shuttle running with changes of direction (180°). Experimental approach to the problem requires the following tests/devices: Squat Jump/Counter Movement Jump (Op to jump) to assess the strength’s decrease of the lower limbs before/after each test and Ratings of Perceived Exertion after each RC to assess the training load. ANOVA with repeated measures will be used to assess the significant differences for each variable between each RC. The results of this study could be useful to optimize the basketball training load related to the RC in different seasonal periods

Physical activity and its relation to body and ludic expression in childhood
The article discusses the conditions of the relationship between learning and playing through motor activities , considering the latter as a potential place of education and training of the personality. They are then taken into account the function of the game , theories and research on the game, both among children between adult and child. Finally , it is highlighted the interdependence between the game and the motor activity in the evolution of the child, but is exalted above all the recreational
and mobility, as a resource for learning and privileged relationship that allows the child to transform reality according to his inner needs and to realize its potential. The importance of playing with their parents for the child 's educational opportunity , and training to build bonds of intimacy with the people most important to him . Today, however , due to busy engagements of the parents, you are likely to spend little time with their children. It’s good to emphasize the importance of space and time to recover for the game, especially because it is through play that goes deeper communication between children and adults
Testing motor skills, general and special coordinative, in young soccer
There is need of improvement the quality of the play and the performances continually, above all the motor skills. The tests that have been made to the male young athletes, are easy to administer and are intended to investigate two different motor skills (general coordinative and specific coordinative). The purpose of this study is to monitor and to evaluate the improvement of the performance on a sample of fifteen male young soccer players of 12-13 years old. Method is experimental and has to carry out the usual parameters for monitoring the trainings. Data were collected during eight weeks. All data detected were expressed as average ± SD on: height (162.8 ± 3.45), Weight (54.6 ± 3.21), body mass index (20.6 ± 1.72) and using some field tests (Harre test, Precision shooting test and Control test of ball). Analysis of statistical data has been conducted with Test-t to check the differences between pre-test and post-test (at the beginning and at the end of a month of specific training). The significant differences have been fixed in p < .05. The results show that there is a significant difference between the performance pre and post training, in the three tests conducted. This study analyse and evaluate the reduction or the improvement of the performance, allowing at the coaches of monitor the training process
