Body oval, with sparse white pubescence. Pronotum black with yellowish border and two small lateral spots. Elytra black with yellowish border and two yellowish areas below callus and near apex (Figs 7 A–D). Head, antennae and mouthparts orange. Meso- and metasternum dark brown or black; legs yellowish; epipleuron yellowish; first ventrites black or brownish (Fig. 7 B). Genitalia with basal lobe symmetrical, stout, shorter than parameres, apex bluntly pointed (Fig. 7 E). Parameres short and narrow (Fig. 7 F). Sipho rounded at apex, siphonal capsule rounded and short (Fig. 7 G). Female. Length 3.04–3.16 mm, width 2.20–2.24 mm. Genitalia with genital plates triangular, elongated, styli with setae (Fig. 7 H). Spermatheca C-shaped, short, apex narrow (Fig. 7 I). Etymology. This species is named in honor of the dedicated entomologist Doctor Angelo Barbosa Monteiro Machado, an expert in the taxonomy of dragonflies (Odonata) and endangered species, on the occasion of his 80 th birthday. Geographical Distribution. Brazil (MT, GO). Remarks. Chnoodes machadoi sp. nov. (Fig. 7) is similar to C. discomaculata (Fig. 3) and C. tarsalis (Fig. 6) in the color pattern, but is distinguished by the yellowish border of elytra. No full textResumo: Este artigo toma como objeto de estudo um corpus bastante peculiar, a polêmica em torno da afirmação do Ministro da Economia, Paulo Guedes, em fevereiro do ano de 2020, sobre a cotação do dólar e o suposto fato de as empregadas domésticas irem à Disney. Trata-se de analisar um conjunto de enunciados engendrados no fluxo de discursos que se entrecruzaram e se entrechocaram ao retomarem o tema exposto pelo ministro. Interessa compreendê-los enquanto lugar de inscrição, solidificação e propagação da polêmica no espaço público. Este estudo busca compreender a declaração de Guedes não só como lugar de conflito de opiniões, de enfrentamentos, de controversas, mas também de ressignificação que engendra resistência. O recorte dos dados permite, por um lado, compreender o funcionamento da polêmica, bem como a função das instituições midiáticas e sua responsabilidade no debate público e, por outro, o papel de resistência dos sujeitos ofendidos. A análise está ancorada em Amossy (2017), acerca da polêmica como modalidade argumentativa e em Paveau et al. (no prelo) no que concerne à teoria da ressignificação.Palavras-chave: discurso; polêmica; ressignificação.Abstract: In this article, the object of study is a very peculiar corpus, the controversy surrounding the statement announced by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, in February of this year, about the dollar quotation and the supposed fact related to the domestic workers going to Disney. It is a question of analyzing a set of statements engendered in the flow of discourses which intertwined and clashed, when resuming the theme exposed by the Minister. This work has the aim of understanding those discourses as a place for inscription, for solidification and for propagation of that controversy in the public space. This study seeks to understand Guedes’ statement not only as a place of conflict of opinions, of confrontations, of controversies, but also as a place of a resignification that engenders resistance. The clipping of the data allows not only to comprehend the functioning of the controversy, but also, on the one hand, the role of the media institutions and their responsibility in the public debate and, on the other hand, the role of resistance of the offended subjects. This analysis is anchored in Amossy (2017), about the controversy as an argumentative modality, and in Paveau et al. (no prelo), as far as the theory of resignification is concerned.Keywords: discourse; controversy; resignification

No full textThe present work aims to improve the communication structure of the Company Jô Guedes Calçados Atacado and Varejo, in a significant way, seeking its growth in the commercial scope between microenterprise framed as an individual microentrepreneur. The results found on the problem and the failures in the communication of the company, were obtained through surveys of data through public opinion research, which had as main interviewed Jô Guedes Calçados' resellers. According to the results obtained in the research, the aim was to create a leaner and more efficient organizational communication, allowing its target audiences to be reached and more easily established. In addition, it was identified the need to elaborate the mission, vision and values, indispensable for a solid and responsible construction regarding the quality of the image of a company. Identifying communication flaws and noises also identified the importance of the presence of a Public Relations professional in front of the organization in order to deal with and solve possible problems, thus improving the physical, virtual and communicational structure of the company.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo o melhorar a estrutura comunicacional da Empresa Jô Guedes Calçados Atacado e Varejo, de forma significativa, buscando o seu crescimento no âmbito comercial entre microempresa enquadrada como sendo microempreendedor individual. Os resultados encontrados sobre a problemática e as falhas na comunicação da empresa foram obtidos através de levantamentos de dados por meio de pesquisa de opinião pública, com as revendedoras da Jô Guedes Calçados. De acordo com os resultados obtidos na pesquisa buscou-se a criação de uma comunicação organizacional mais direcionada e
eficiente, permitindo que seus públicos-alvo sejam alcançados e fidelizados mais facilmente. Além disso, identificou-se a necessidade da elaboração da missão, visão e valores, indispensáveis para uma construção sólida e responsável no que tange a qualidade da imagem de uma empresa. Ao identificar as falhas e os ruídos na comunicação, notou-se também a importância da presença de um profissional de Relações Públicas a frente da organização, a fim de tratar e solucionar possíveis problemas na estrutura física e presença digital da empresa
Identifying compatible locations for wave energy exploration with different wave energy devices in Madeira Islands
No full textThis paper aims to assess the techno-economic suitability of different marine areas for thenearshore and offshore wave energy exploration in the Madeira Islands, while avoiding conflict with any technical,environmental, legal or other use restriction. A wave energy device is also evaluated, which could constitute the best energetic performance in such specific sea states. The compatibility evaluation of different wave energy conversion technologies is made through the computation of a novel index over the area of study. The location suitability assessment is made in a GIS environment by discarding different locations from the masking process. Later, a multicriteria decision making methodology is carried out over the available areas. No full textThe European Union has been the pioneer and undisputed
leader of regional integration processes. Since its inception in
the 1950s, following the Schuman Declaration that set in motion
Jean Monnet’s innovative idea to join together European coal
and steel industries, Europe has offered a useful model for
regional integration. Strengthened by the 1957 Treaty of Rome
(exactly half a century ago), this bold entity was later transformed
into the European Union by the Maastricht Treaty.
Having successfully accomplished its primary goal (“to make
war unthinkable and materially impossible”), the EU is currently
facing challenges associated with its expansion and the deepening
of its pooled sovereignty. On the other hand, the effects
of the EU in international relations are of paramount relevance.
While the forceful transposition of national and regional structures
into other regions is a historical error, the essence of the
EU as a model to be adapted by other regions is a viable
approach to enhance stability and welfare. In this regard, this
volume examines the current challenges of the EU and the perspectives
of regional integration in Africa, Asia and Latin
America

No full textIn this article, I discuss aspects of the intellectual and literary activism of a black writer called Lino Guedes, born in the state of São Paulo. Based on sources from newspapers and on the initial mapping of his literary production, I try to explain how this author has figured in the public debate about black people in São Paulo in the post-Abolition period. In view of the limited analytical production about Lino Guedes as well as the lack of information about the social and intellectual conditions that made his work possible, this research tries to reconstruct the social and intellectual contexts in which he was inserted. I hope to contribute to the debate on the role played by black intellectuals in the public life in the early twentieth century in São Paulo.En este artículo busco discutir los aspectos de la trayectoria del activismo intelectual y literario de un escritor negro llamado Lino Guedes, nacido en el estado de São Paulo. Con base en fuentes de periódicos y en la cartografia inicial de su producción literaria, trato de explicar la manera en que este autor ha figurado en el debate público sobre los negros tras la abolición de la esclavitud en São Paulo. Sin embargo, es necesario reconocer la escasa producción analítica sobre Lino Guedes, así como la falta de conocimiento sobre las condiciones sociales e intelectuales que hicieron posible su trabajo. Esta investigación es, pues, un intento de reconstruir los contextos sociales e intelectuales en los que estuvo inmerso Guedes. Espero poder contribuir al debate acerca del protagonismo de los intelectuales negros en la vida pública de principios del siglo XX en São Paulo.Discuto, neste artigo, aspectos da trajetória de ativismo intelectual e literário do escritor negro paulista Lino Guedes. Baseado em fontes de jornais e no mapeamento inicial de sua produção literária, busco entender como o autor figurou no debate público sobre o negro em São Paulo no pós-Abolição. Dada a pouca produção analítica específica sobre Guedes e o desconhecimento das condições sociais e intelectuais em que ele se fez possível, a pesquisa tentou reconstruir contextos sociais e intelectuais em que ele se inseriu. No full textO livro O futebol brasileiro: instituição zero, de Simoni Lahud Guedes, resgatado após o incêndio do Museu Nacional, é uma obra pioneira na Antropologia do Esporte. Com base em sua dissertação de mestrado de 1977, Guedes analisa o futebol como fenômeno social, indo além do lazer, e o compreende como representação simbólica da identidade brasileira. Dividida em quatro capítulos, a obra percorre temas como o lazer, a dinâmica do jogo, a atuação da imprensa nas Copas e a relação do futebol com operários urbanos de Bangu. A autora oferece uma etnografia sensível do campo de jogo, destacando a imprensa como produtora de discursos que ora unem, ora racializam a derrota. Ao final, defende o futebol como instituição multifacetada e campo fértil para estudos sociais. A reedição da obra é tanto um tributo à autora quanto uma contribuição atemporal aos estudos do futebol no Brasil.The book The Brazilian Football: Zero Institution, by Simoni Lahud Guedes, rescued after the fire at the National Museum, is a pioneering work in the Anthropology of Sport. Based on her 1977 master\u27s thesis, Guedes analyzes football as a social phenomenon that goes beyond leisure, interpreting it as a symbolic representation of Brazilian identity. Divided into four chapters, the work explores themes such as leisure, the dynamics of the game, the role of the media during World Cups, and the relationship between football and urban workers in Bangu. The author offers a sensitive ethnography of the game field and highlights how the press produces discourses that either unify or racialize defeat. In the conclusion, football is portrayed as a multifaceted institution and a fertile ground for social studies.
