A Scientometric Study of Journal of Librarianship & Information Science (JoliS) During 2007-2016
The present study is based on the scientometric analysis of 218 documents published in JoLiS from 2007 to 2016.The study explored various parameters of scientometrics such as total output ; year wise distribution and growth of research output; future growth of publications; degree of collaborations among authors, most prolific author, top ten countries in terms of research output and top cited article of the journal. The study found that most productive years were 2015 and 2016 with 28 (12.84%) publications and the least productive year was 2009 with 15(6.88%) publications. The study explored that the estimated future growth of JoLiS publications increased from 28 in the year 2016 to 53 in the year 2035 which shows that rate of growth is positive in relation to the year wise publications. The degree of collaboration among authors of JoLiS shows that authors of JoLiS have more interest in joint contribution rather than single contribution. The study explores that the United Kingdom is on top in terms of contribution followed by USA. It is found that Aharony N and Shenton AK have contributed maximum articles 7 (3.21%) each. The paper authored by Bryant J., Matthews G. and Walton G., published in the year 2009 is on top by receiving the highest number of citations

Skarn xenolith record crustal CO2 liberation during Pompeii and Pollena eruptions, Vesuvius volcanic system, central Italy
Limestone assimilation and skarn formation are important processes in magmatic systems emplaced within
carbonate-rich crust and can affect the composition of the magma and that of associated volcanic gas. In this
studywe focus on marble and calc-silicate (skarn) xenoliths fromcontact reactions between magma and carbonate
wall-rock of the Vesuvius volcanic system. We present new elemental and C-O isotope data for marble and
skarn xenoliths as well as for igneous rocks collected from the AD 79 (Pompeii) and AD 472 (Pollena) eruptions.
The igneous samples have consistently high δ18Ovalues (9.3to10.8‰), but lowH2O contents (≤1.5%), indicating
that magma–crust interaction prior to eruption took place. The marble xenoliths, in turn, record initial decarbonation
reactions and fluid-mass exchange in their textures and δ13C and δ18O ranges, while the skarn xenoliths
reflect prolonged magma–carbonate interaction and intense contact metamorphism. Skarn-xenoliths record Ca
and Mg release from the original carbonate and uptake of Al and Si and span the full δ18O data range from unmetamorphosed
carbonate (N18‰) to values typical for Vesuvius magmatic rocks (~7.5‰), which implies that
skarn xenoliths comprise carbonate and magmatic components. Textural and chemical evidence suggest that direct
carbonate dissolution into the host magmas occurred aswell as post-metamorphic skarn recycling, resulting
in progressive Ca andMgliberation fromthe skarn xenoliths into themagma.Magma–carbonate interaction is an
additional source of CO2 during carbonate break-down and assimilation and we calculate the amount of extra
volatile components likely liberated by contact metamorphic reactions before and during the investigated eruptions.
We find that the extra CO2 added into the volcanic systemcould have outweighed the magmatic CO2 component
by ≥ factor seven and thus likely increased the intensity of both the Pompeii and the Pollena eruptive
events

This is the sixth book I have found illustrated by Dosimont, all apparently done from the same set of illustrations and all published by Hemma. Here those illustrations appear in a smaller format. The illustrations seem less bright here. A favorite of mine is still GA (50-51), especially for its two facial expressions. The concluding picture of La Fontaine sitting under a tree and composing a fable is also quite attractive (68). There is a T of C on 69. How many books do I have that have been printed in Portugal? This is a hardbound book (hard cover)Language note: FrenchJean de La Fontain
Characteristics of the Ascophyllum nodosum stands and their associated diversity along the coast of Brittany, France
The present study aimed at estimating the characteristics of the Ascophyllum nodosum stands along the coast of Brittany, France. Although both an ecologically and economically important macroalga on sheltered rocky shores of the North Atlantic, no study has simultaneously dealt with the variability of the densities, lengths and biomasses of A. nodosum together with a description of its associated algal and animal diversity. There were significant differences in mean lengths and variations in the length–population structures between sites. However, the biomasses and densities showed no significant differences. The biomasses are amongst the highest ones estimated over the entire species distribution. The algal and animal assemblages were typical of A. nodosum zones, but only the identity composition of the algal communities seemed to reflect site differences in environmental forces. The biomasses measured in the present study should help improve future macroalgae biomass and metabolism estimates on regional or global scales. Finally, the data will provide a reference state for future studies on the responses of fucoid canopies to environmental changes.Peer reviewe
