Teacher Perceptions on the Impact of Professional Student–Teacher Relationships on Economically Disadvantaged Student’s Effort
The value of relationships in education continues to grow as educational leaders raise awareness for social emotional learning. This phenomenological research study examined teacher perceptions of the connection between student–teacher relationships and student effort with economically disadvantaged students. A brief overview of research involving popular educational leadership styles led to the evaluation of student–teacher relationships’ impact on student effort. Answering the central research question, how do teachers perceive the impact of student–teacher relationships on student effort of economically disadvantaged students, study participants shared their experiences in education that yielded value to relational connections with students. Interpreted through the lens of social constructivism theory and analyzed from data collected from 8 one-to-one interviews, this study produced data from teacher perspectives of relational capacity in the classroom. Additionally, study participants furnished artifacts representing positive connections with students and discussed the relational value their artifact held. The study provided the following: characteristics of student–teacher relationships with economically disadvantaged students, obstacles study participants faced with economically disadvantaged students, effective teacher practices and needed supports with economically disadvantaged students. Educational stakeholders might be able to use the research findings to reflect on relational capacity in schools and make appropriate changes that may increase civility, effort and academic success in schools
EcoJustice, citizen science, and youth activism: Situated tensions for science education
Katie Love is a contributing author (with Kurt A. Love, Audra King, Kimberly Gill), The Sustainable Farm School: Waldorf philosophy and EcoJustice theory in aesthetic contexts, 63-82.
BOOK DESCRTIPTION: This volume draws on the ecojustice, citizen science and youth activism literature base in science education and applies the ideas to situated tensions as they are either analyzed theoretically or praxiologically within science education pedagogy. It uses ecojustice to evaluate the holistic connections between cultural and natural systems, environmentalism, sustainability and Earth-friendly marketing trends, and introduces citizen science and youth activism as two of the pedagogical ways ecojustice philosophy can be enacted. It also comprises evidence-based practice with international service, community embedded curriculum, teacher preparation, citizen monitoring and community activism, student-scientist partnerships, socioscientific issues, and new avenues for educational research.https://digitalcommons.fairfield.edu/nursing-books/1079/thumbnail.jp
Truth After cinema: The explosion of facts in the documentary films of Jia Zhangke
This is the author's accepted manuscript. The final published article is available from the link below. Copyright @ 2013 Intellect Books. This article identifies and elaborates on two models of resistance evident in JiaZhangke’s film corpus. The deployment of different cinematic strategies produces an experimental calling into question of the value of truth and of truth as value. In the films here analysed Jia moves from resistance through organic observation to a model of resistance structured around a series of fabulations. If the first regime addresses the truth of ideology, then the target of the second is the ideology of truth. It is in this passage that Jia enters political cinema, collapsing the distinction between factual and fictional and opening up a space that belongs to no collectivity

Peran Lembaga Keuangan Syariah dalam Mengahadapi Pandemi Covid 19
The Covid-19 pandemic has made funding and lending problems even bigger. There is no lending, the withdrawal is also bigger. Thus, BMT's need for funding will be greater, because the need for funds to be withdrawn is also greater. Of course, the liquidity problem of financial institutions including BMT becomes a more serious challenge in the case of Covid-19. In fact, there are several BMTs that can provide financing. Hopefully, this will come. The revolving fund management agency in collaboration with small, medium and micro-medium enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) has a financing role and comes from banks. The government's role is needed to provide BMT funds, so this BMT will not stop lending. As the growth of Islamic cooperative countries slows down, the global Islamic finance industry is under threat. According to data from SEISRIC, the total number of cases in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries has reached 180,000.This study used qualitative research methods. This is due to the flexibility in getting information from the latest news stories from trusted sources, regarding how the impact/impact caused by Covid-19 (corona virus), the author also took several news samples from the internet and then combined them into a result.
