Analysis of Stability, Resistance, and Seakeeping Accord to Dimension and Form of Fishing Vessel 10, 20, 30 GT
Fishing vessels used to catch resources from the sea has to pass some of the regulations from International Maritime Organization for sea-worthiness of the vessel especially about stability, resistance to acquire the highest velocity, and the vessel’s motion. This research discusses the effect of the vessel’s dimension and the hull shape by using the stability standard from IMO.The result shows that the ratio of the B/T which meets the stability criteria is 2.50 with the ratio of KG/H of the vessel is 0.65, with the assumption that the KG and H of the vessel are more than 0.70. Whereas if the resistance ratio B/T is big, the resistance for the vessel will be relatively smaller. In terms of the vessel motion, a vessel with a V-type hull will better than a U-type hull in seakeeping
THE IMPACT OF AI QUILLBOT IN IMPROVING STUDENT WRITING ABILITY TO WRITE ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAYS
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language learning has transformed academic writing, particularly in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts. AI-powered writing tools such as QuillBot offer real-time feedback, automated paraphrasing, and grammatical enhancements, potentially improving students’ writing proficiency. However, limited research explores the specific impact of QuillBot on argumentative essay writing in EFL classrooms. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of QuillBot in enhancing the writing skills of third-semester EFL students at Universitas Darma Persada, Indonesia. Using a quasi-experimental design, 60 students were divided into an experimental group (QuillBot-assisted learning) and a control group (traditional instruction). Pre-test and post-test essay scores were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 to assess improvements in structure, coherence, and grammar. The findings revealed that students using QuillBot showed significantly higher improvements in writing proficiency compared to those in the control group. The experimental group demonstrated enhanced argumentation, coherence, and grammatical accuracy, indicating that AI-assisted tools can be effective in fostering writing development. The study concludes that QuillBot is a valuable supplementary tool for EFL writing instruction, providing instant feedback and reducing students’ dependency on traditional teacher-led corrections. Educators are encouraged to integrate AI writing assistants into teaching methodologies to optimize learning outcomes. Future research should explore the long-term effects of AI-assisted writing on different writing genres and across diverse educational contexts

Kemajuan informasi dan teknologi telah mempengaruhi banyak aspek kehidupan termasuk pendidikan. khususnya teknologi internet yang memberikan efek positif terhadap pendidikan khususnya dalam proses khususnya pembelajaran pemahaman membaca dalam Bahasa Inggris. Di masa lalu, pembelajaran membaca masih menggunakan metode konvensional seperti buku, modul, dan papan tulis, tetapi saat ini seiring dengan kemajuan zaman dosen dan mahasiswa dapat menggunakan teknologi multimedia interaktif seperti, smartphone, dan desktop computer yang dapat membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih efektif, inovatif, kreatif dan interaktif. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

REITERASI LEXICAL PADA LIRIK LAGU ARIANA GRANDE DALAM ALBUM “POSITIONS†2020
Kajian ini mendeskripsikan hubungan semantik yang dapat disebut kohesi antara konstruksi teks dan hubungannya dengan konstruksi lainnya. Ada dua jenis gabungan: kohesi gramatikal dan kohesi leksikal. Kohesi kosakata dapat dicapai dengan memilih kosakata. Tujuan pertama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis apa saja yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu Ariana Grande di album Positions. Tujuan kedua adalah untuk apa fungsi kohesi leksikal digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan lirik lagu Ariana Grande. Album ini berisi 14 lagu. Untuk melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori kohesi leksikal Halliday dan Hasan (1976). Ini termasuk pernyataan ulang (pengulangan kata, sinonim atau sinonim serupa, kata tingkat tinggi, dan pengulangan kata umum) dan kolokasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan deskripsi ulang semua jenis kohesi leksikal dan tidak menganalisis kolokasi leksikal dalam lirik album Position Ariana Grande. Selanjutnya, fungsi kohesi leksikal dalam restatement lirik lagu Ariana Grande adalah untuk mendeskripsikan, menekankan, memperkuat, dan menyumbangkan pesan kata-kata dengan makna yang saling terkait untuk mengartikulasikan lagu tersebut.
