New invariant-based approaches for the buckling and displacement analysis of double-double laminates
No full textWith the discovery of Tsai‘s Modulus as a fundamental property of composite material and the newly
introduced double-double laminate family (DD), new and highly efficient methods for the design of composite
laminates are available. Two novel approaches are proposed for the invariant-based analysis of stability and
displacement of simply supported double-double type composite panels. These methods are shown to accurately
predict the field of displacement and the buckling load for double-double type laminates independent of material
and laminate thickness. Both methods combine known solutions based on the classical laminate theory with new
approaches of the invariant-based theory of composites presented by Tsai and Melo (2014)

No full textWie viele seiner Zeitgenossen ist sich Alexander Moritz Frey der Schwierigkeit einer angemessenen Darstellung der Figur Adolf Hitlers und seines Reiches bewusst; sein Exilroman Hölle und Himmel zeugt davon. Er geht das Problem mittels eines zweifachen Distanzierungsverfahrens an, indem er einerseits auf die fantastische Literatur des XIX Jahrhunderts zurückgreift und er andererseits systematisch ein ekphrastisches Schreiben wählt. Allgegenwärtig im Text ist in der Tat ein Bild aus dem 16 Jh., welches die Versuchungen des heiligen Antonius darstellt und Analogien zwischen Adolf Hitler und dem Teufel, dem III. Reich und der Hölle suggeriert. Das systematische Zurückgreifen auf die Ekphrasis weist andererseits auch auf die Unfähigkeit des zeitgenössischen Künstlers hin, seine Epoche noch in einer gültigen Form darzustellen; für den Autor stellt dies zwar eine Pflicht aber auch eine Unmöglichkeit dar: Hölle und Himmel dramatisiert genau diese Aporie.Le roman d’exil L’Enfer et le Ciel d’Alexander Moritz Frey rend compte de la difficulté, commune à beaucoup d’artistes, de trouver une représentation adéquate, une interprétation univoque de la figure d’Adolf Hitler. C’est au moyen d’une double distanciation, passant par les emprunts au récit fantastique du XIXe et par le recours à une écriture ekphrastique que l’auteur aborde le problème. L’omniprésence dans le récit d’un tableau du XVIe, représentant les tentations de saint Antoine, permet de suggérer des liens entre Hitler et le diable, le IIIe Reich et l’enfer. Le recours systématique à l’ekphrasis implique en même temps l’incapacité de l’artiste contemporain à saisir désormais son époque sous une forme adéquate : la représentation du monde diabolisé est pour l’auteur un devoir et une impossibilité, L’Enfer et le Ciel se veut être la dramatisation de cette aporie.Like many contemporary works, Alexander Moritz Frey’s novel Hell and Heaven proves how difficult it is to find an appropriate representation, an unequivocal interpretation of Adolf Hitler. The author tackles the problem through a double distanciation : by borrowing some devices from the 19th century fantastic story and by making use of ekphrasis. The omnipresence in the novel of a picture from 16th century representing the temptations of the holy Antonius enables the reader to perceive some relations between Hitler and the Devil, the Third Reich and Hell. Moreover the fact that the artist systematically uses ekphrasis suggests by implication that he is unable to represent to-day’s world under an adequate form : it is for the artist a duty as well as an impossibility. Hell and Heaven can be considered as the dramatization of this aporia

No full textDie Dissertation untersucht die Inszenierung und Funktionalisierung literarischer Körperlichkeitskonzepte im Gesamtwerk des Schriftstellers Alexander Moritz Frey. Dafür bedient sich die Arbeit eines literatursemiotischen Untersuchungsansatzes. Die literarische Ausgestaltung kultureller Norm- und Wertvorstellungen wird in Hinblick auf Körperkonventionen analysiert und es wird untersucht, wo die jeweiligen historisch variablen Grenzen von Normkonformität und Abweichung liegen. Unter Berücksichtigung körpersemantischer Aspekte wird betrachtet, ob dabei optional-variable oder irreversible Grenzziehungen vorgenommen werden. Die Arbeit entwickelt ein Analyseraster für Körperlichkeit im Erzähltext und betrachtet dafür den Körper in seiner determinierten Materialität, seiner kulturellen Ausgestaltung sowie als Imaginationsraum unterschiedlicher Körperkonzepte. Das Projekt hat darüber hinaus die literaturwissenschaftliche Wiederentdeckung des Autors Alexander Moritz Frey zum Ziel

Diferentes autores como Herman Hesse e Walter Benjamin, e, mais recentemente, Hans Joachin Schrimpf, Tzvetan Todorov, Peter Szondi, Arno Schmidt e Peter Handke têm escrito ressaltando a importância e a fecundidade desse autor. Moritz pode ser considerado um dos autores inaugurais do romantismo alemão. Este mestrado em filosofia, área de estética, pretende, por meio de seleção, tradução e introdução dos textos de Karl Philipp Moritz, contribuir para a valorização dessa importante obra em nossa cultura. Os textos selecionados são de teoria da linguagem, estética e filosofia.After over two hundred years, the concern for the works of Karl Philipp Moritz (September 15th 1756 June 26th 1793) has increased steadily.
