L'elemento estetico della conoscenza storica. Fra Croce e Windelband
Intuition and interest in the historical knowledge. The “early” Croce and Windelband. The author makes a comparison between Benedetto Croce’s academic writing of 1893, La storia ridotta sotto il concetto generale dell’arte, and Wilhelm
Windelband’s Rektoratsrede of 1894, Geschichte und Naturwissenschaft. By means of this comparison, which is focused on the concepts of intuition and interest, the author can reconstruct the dense network of sources of the theory of the history outlined by the young Croce and by Windelband: from Lazarus to Simmel, from Köstlin to Labriola

Il cronotopo nell'Apokopos di Bergadìs
Bergadìs’ Apokopos (XV cent.) belongs to the narrative genre of descensus ad inferos
and otherworldly visions of medieval culture with illustrious antecedents in Greek,
latin as well as in vernacular literature. This popular poem describes a narrator’s
catabasis which has been performed throughout a dream. in its internal composition a
basic eclecticism is perceived, as the author moves between the canvas and the heroic
poems of chivalry and the novelistic literature both from East and West, as well as he
does not neglect a likely inspiration from the visual arts. The very time of the related
events is not well clarified. The author uses the dream dimension to justify the choice
of a theme such as catabasis, in order to show the message of vanitas vanitatum, as a result
of sudden upheavals of Fortune

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Milan: Community Gardens as a Space for New Societal Assemblages and Learning on Public Goods
This chapter presents the case of Milan as an example of Human Smart City referring to the urban agriculture experience. It discusses the process through which the Municipality of Milan has recently started investing in forms of urban agriculture as a way to enhance the active participation of citizens in the production of public goods and to promote unexpected solutions to unsolved urban problems. Urban agriculture in Milan, in this perspective, seems to provide an opportunity for reconciliation between the urban and nonurban realm in a densely built, urban environment and the possibility of introducing new approaches to public policies, urban planning included
