Get PDFEl telón del Teatro El Círculo de la ciudad de Rosario, Santa Fe, realizado por Giuseppe Carmignani en 1904 y restaurado en el Centro TAREA del Instituto de Investigaciones sobre el Patrimonio Cultural en el año 2012, es uno de los pocos objetos escenográficos que aún dan testimonio de las prácticas teatrales en la Argentina de principios del siglo XX. Se trata de un telón de boca, de apertura alemana o de guillotina, pintado con una técnica opaca sobre tela de lino, de 12 x 13,5 metros. La imagen es una alegoría de la música y las artes escénicas conocida como el Triunfo de Palas (de Minerva o de la Sabiduría). Carmignani se inspiró en la representación que decora el telón del Teatro Regio de Parma, obra del destacado pintor y escenógrafo Giovanni Battista Borghesi concebida en 1828 (Figura en homenaje a la duquesa María Luisa de Habsburgo-Lorena, segunda esposa de Napoleón.Fil: Fothy, Judith. Get PDFTrabajo Final Integrador de la Especialización en Conservación y Restauración de Bienes CulturalesEl propósito principal de este proyecto es la recuperación, reparación y reproducción de una jarrita de Talavera de la Reina perteneciente al patrimonio del Departamento de Artes Visuales de la Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA). Esta pieza fue realizada en la década del 90 por integrantes del Equipo de diseño y producción de objetos de las Artes del Fuego del Instituto Nacional Superior de Cerámica (INSC, hoy disuelto), copiando los modelos desarrollados en la década del 40 en la Escuela Nacional de Cerámica bajo la dirección de su fundador, el ceramista español Fernando Arranz (Madrid 23 de diciembre de 1897- Buenos Aires 7 de junio de 1967). Esta institución educativa fue la pionera en la enseñanza académica de la cerámica en Argentina. En particular, de la producción de cerámicas seriadas y vidriadas-terracotas torneadas y lozas coladas-, cocidas a más de 1000 grados centígrados. Las quimeras que oculta un telón: Los telones de boca pintados en algunos teatros de ópera del litoral rioplatense
Get PDFLos telones pintados son ejemplares dotados de una singular belleza por el solo hecho de su grandiosidad. Con aproximadamente cien años de vida, el estado de conservación de estas piezas se ve comprometido. Sin el debido cuidado, su desaparición es un escenario posible. Sus dimensiones, sumada su función, los tornan muy vulnerables, lo que genera que requieran procesos de conservación más complejos que los acostumbrados, siendo que la mayor parte del daño se genera por los movimientos y manipulaciones propias del uso de un telón. Por tal motivo, es preciso cuantificar y valorar estos bienes, comprender la propuesta estética que ofrecían dentro del contexto de las salas, aproximando una visión hacia su origen, así también como reconocer e identificar algunos de los materiales empleados en la realización de los mismos, con el objetivo final de su preservación y transmisión de su herencia cultural y su proyección sobre el presente y el futuro.The painted curtains have a singular beauty, due to the fact of their large size. With approximately 100 years of life, the conservation of these pieces is in danger. Without due care and knowledge, their complete disappearance is a possible scenario.
Their dimensions, added to their function, make them very vulnerable to deterioration, which is why they require more complex conservation processes than usual. Indeed, most of the damage is generated by movements and manipulations of its use.
For this reason, it is necessary to study and quantify these assets, and understand the aesthetic proposal that they offered within the context of the theater, approaching a vision towards its origin. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
