Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
El cens IFMuC dels fons musicals de Catalunya
No full textEl projecte IFMuC presenta els resultats de la tasca que hem dut a terme entre el 2001 i el 2015, centrada en la catalogació dels fons musicals de Catalunya, per mitjà del nou web http://ifmuc.uab.cat. En el decurs d'aquests anys, hem identificat nombrosos fons de manuscrits i impresos musicals amb obres desconegudes de compositors catalans. Dels fons ubicats en arxius públics, eclesiàstics i privats, catorze han estat catalogats, amb un índex que supera els 10.000 registres catalogràfics i el miler de compositors. D'aquests fons, tretze han pogut veure la llum gràcies a l'edició impresa de vuit volums corresponents als catàlegs de la col·lecció Inventaris dels fons musicals de Catalunya, entre el 2007 i el 2015. El resultat d'aquest període de localització de fons musicals es tradueix en el Cens IFMuC, amb 408 fons musicals que ara presentem. En el cens hi són inclosos els fons de la Biblioteca Nacional de Catalunya (111), del CEDOC (22) i del Centre de Documentació de Cultura Popular (17
