Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

Dakwah adalah kewajiban sekaligus ibadah yang bisa menghantarkan pelakunya untuk mendekatkan diri dengan sang pencipta. Zaman modern seperti ini dakwah sudah tidak cukup jika hanya dilakukan dengan ceramah. Tentunya seorang da’i memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan dakwahnya. Untuk sarananya itu adalah Maher Zain menerbitkan berbagai lagu islami. karir dalam dunia musik beliau sudah sangat lama dan bisa menjadi sarana dalam berdakwah didunia musik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali pesan dakwah yang dilakukan oleh Maher Zain pada mini album Nour Ala Nour yang dirilis pada tahun 2021. Pembahasan dalam penelitian ini mengenai isi pesan dakwah yang terkandung didalam lirik-lirik lagu Ramadhan Gana, Qalbi Sajad, Nour Ala Nour, Laitaka Ma’ana, dan Huwa Ahmadun. Serta mengkategorikan pesan yang terdapat pada mini album Nour Ala Nour
Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pesan dakwah menurut Endang Saifuddin Anshari yang didalamnya terdapat pokok-pokok ajaran islam yaitu Aqidah, Akhlak, dan Syariah. Berpaduan dengan teori kategori pesan dakwah dapat mencakup persoalan yang tidak terbatas, karena menyangkut semua persoalan hidup dan kehidupan yang mencakup semua persoalan harkat dan martabat manusia, baik itu hubungannya dengan Tuhan (akidah), hubungannya dengan Tuhan dan manusia lain (syariah), dan hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri (akhlak) Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode penelitian analisi isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan ini peneliti bisa memproyeksikan interaksi lagu Maher Zain dalam Mini album Nour Ala Nour. Data penelitian ini dihimpun dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data agar mempertajam interpretasi peneliti terhadap fenomena yang terjadi.
Hasil dari penelitian yang ini ialah pertama, pesan dakwah yang terkandung didalam lirik-lirik lagu Maher Zain pada mini album Nour Ala Nour. Diantaranya lagu Ramadhan Gana sebagai bergembira menyambut datangnya bulan suci Ramadhan kemudian Qalbi Sajad tentang bersujud dan berserah diri kepada sang pencipta, Nour Ala Nour yang menjelaska keagungandan kemuliaan Al Qur’an serta Laitaka Ma’ana dan Huwa Ahmadun yang menjelaskan Nabi Muhammad SAW Kedua, kategorisasi pesan dakwah yang terkandung didalam mini album Nour Ala Nour dikelompokan menjadi pesan aqidah, pesan akhlak dan pesan syariah.

Da'wah is an obligation as well as worship that can bring the perpetrator to get closer to the creator. In modern times like this, preaching is not enough if it is only done with lectures. Of course, a da'i uses technology as a means to convey his da'wah. For the ingredients, Maher Zain publishes various Islamic songs. His career in the music world has been very long and can be a means of preaching in the world of music. The purpose of this study is to explore the da'wah messages carried out by Maher Zain on the mini album Nour Ala Nour which will be released in 2021. The discussion in this study is about the contents of the da'wah messages contained in the lyrics of the songs Ramadhan Gana, Qalbi Sajad, Nour Ala Nour , Laitaka Ma'ana, and Huwa Ahmadun. As well as categorizing messages contained in the mini album Nour Ala Nour. This study uses the theory of da'wah messages according to Endang Saifuddin Anshari in which there are the main points of Islamic teachings, namely Aqidah, Morals, and Sharia. Combined with the theory of da'wah message categories, it can cover unlimited issues, because it concerns all issues of life and life which cover all issues of human dignity and worth, be it their relationship with God (aqidah), their relationship with God and other human beings (sharia), and the relationship between man with himself (morals). The method used in this study is a content analysis research method with a qualitative approach. By using this approach, researchers can project the interactions of Maher Zain's songs on the Nour Ala Nour mini album. The research data was collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data is analyzed by reduction, presentation, and data verification in order to sharpen the researcher's interpretation of the phenomena that occur.The results of this research are first, the da'wah message contained in the lyrics of Maher Zain's song on the mini album Nour Ala Nour. Among them are the Ramadhan Gana song which celebrates the coming of the holy month of Ramadan and then Qalbi Sajad about prostrating and surrendering to the creator, Nour Ala Nour which explains the majesty and glory of the Qur'an and Laitaka Ma'ana and Huwa Ahmadun which describes the Prophet Muhammad SAW Second, categorization da'wah messages contained in the mini album Nour Ala Nour are grouped into messages of aqidah, moral messages and sharia messages
