La signoria nel gioco politico: una lettura strutturale (area subalpina, secoli XIV-XV)
No full textITALIANO: Scopo del contributo è di provare a comprendere il ruolo strutturale della signoria nell’Italia nord-occidentale tra Tre e Quattrocento per i suoi detentori. Attraverso la discussione di un nutrito numero di casi si può osservare che essa svolgeva funzioni diverse a seconda dei diversi contesti. In particolare essa si configura come un cruciale dispositivo di riproduzione dell’eminenza sociale dei signori rispetto al resto dell’élite regionale. Controllare una signoria significava infatti disporre di un importante e stabile capitale politico, che poteva tuttavia essere investito in due strategie sostanzialmente opposte: nella ricerca di una sostanziale autonomia dal potere statale, o al contrario nella creazione di un legame strutturale e simbiotico con poteri statali. / ENGLISH: Aim of this article is to discuss the structural role of territorial lordship for its owners in north-western Italy between the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Through analysis of a large number of cases, we can see that it performed different functions according to different frameworks. In particular, it was a device for reproducing the social eminence of lords compared to the rest of the regional elite. Indeed, controlling a lordship meant having a huge and stable political capital, which could however be invested in two substantially opposite strategies: in

La ricerca è condotta su ambiti territoriali molto diversi, ma ruota attorno ad alcune domande comuni, con una specifica attenzione alle relazioni politiche tra i signori, alle forme del loro coordinamento nei quadri degli stati regionali e alle dinamiche relative al controllo e sottomissione dei sudditi. / ENGLISH: The volume collects essays relating to the political dimension of the seignorial powers in the Italian countryside in the late Middle Ages. The research is conducted on very different territorial areas, but revolves around some common questions, with a specific attention to the political relations between the lords, the forms of their coordination in the frameworks of the regional states and the dynamics relating to the control and submission of subjects

No full textCon l’edizione critica edita per la Società Dantesca nel 1984 Gianfranco Contini fornisce una versione del Fiore in cui i 3245 versi costituenti i 232 sonetti dell’opera sono tutti regolari dal punto di vista della misura sillabica. Ottemperando alla prassi invalsa nell’editare testi antichi, e al criterio teorico-metodologico che vede l’assetto metrico come un principio d’ordine essenziale per la definizione di un testo in versi, e che lo intende quindi come uno dei tratti più pacificamente postulabili anche nell’archetipo all’origine della tradizione, l’editore restituisce del testo del Fiore un’immagine che dal punto di vista metrico è “naturalmente” diversa da quella registrata dall’unico testimone che tramanda l’opera

The aim of the present contribution is to provide a catalog of this lot and an edition of the so far unpublished cuneiform texts. In the appendix, Alessio Agostini added the edition of the Palmyrene inscription, which would have otherwise gone beyond the capabilities of the present author

No full textAerospike nozzles are often studied because of their intrinsic self-adaptation behavior to the atmospheric
pressure. Another unique feature of aerospike nozzles is their flexible and effective integration
with the underlying vehicle. This latter aspect, if fully exploited, could be of interest for
both lower stages operating in the atmosphere and for upper stages operating in vacuum. In this paper,
a numerical analysis is carried out of the possible advantages of using an aerospike engine for
a typical upper stage configuration, discussing basic aspects of aerospike and internal expansion
design, clustering and plug truncation length

It examines buildings that served a primarily economic purpose, in various aspects: agricultural activity and the conservation and processing of its products, crafts, and exchanges and their material infrastructures. The growth in this period resulted in a multiplication of material structures closely linked with economic activity, such as mills, barns, canals, workshops, and arsenals. Focusing on the dynamics connected with these buildings thus offers a vantage point to better understand the contexts and characteristics of the ‘economic take-off’ in Southern Europe in this period
