Entre paisagens : história local e comunicação museológica no nordeste paulista

Região Imediata de Ribeirão Preto, no interior do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil, representam as
diferentes populações migrantes em seus acervos e em suas comunicações museológicas.
Foram analisados 16 museus históricos, presentes em 11 cidades do espaço selecionado. A
pesquisa foi realizada de maneira quali-quantitativa, composta por observação direta, análise
documental, realização de questionários e entrevistas. A hipótese é que os museus históricos
da região selecionada não representam as populações que foram escravizadas na região no
século XIX, bem como não representam os migrantes das regiões norte e nordeste do país em
suas coleções e exposições permanentes, ainda que a região de Ribeirão Preto tenha atraído,
ao longo dos dois séculos anteriores, milhares de pessoas para trabalhar no setor do café e,
depois, da cana-de-açúcar. Como resultados, são apresentadas as ideias de “paisagem
museal”, sintetizando o cenário dos museus na região, e “paisagem museológica”,
sintetizando as comunicações museológicas produzidas pelos museus da região e
apresentadas no contexto de seus processos de abertura em favor de suas comunidades.The research consists of an analysis of the way in which the historical museums in
the immediate region of Ribeirão Preto, in the countryside of the State of São Paulo, Brazil,
represent the different migrant populations in their collections and in their museological
communications. Sixteen historical museums located in eleven cities of the selected space
were analyzed. The research was carried out in a qualitative-quantity manner, consisting of
direct observation, document analysis, questionnaires and interviews. The research
hypothesis is that the historical museums of the selected region do not represent the
populations that were enslaved in the region in the 19th century, as well as they do not
represent migrants from the north and northeast regions of the country in their collections and
permanent exhibitions, even though the region of Ribeirão Preto has attracted, over the
previous two centuries, thousands of people to work in the coffee sector and, later, in the
sugar cane sector. As a result, the ideas of “museum landscape” are presented, synthesizing
the scenario of museums in the region, and “museological landscape”, synthesizing the
museological communications produced by museums in the region and presented in the
context of their opening processes in favor of their communities

da Infografia. O Museu Municipal pesquisado localiza-se no município de Pedras Grandes,
Sul de Santa Catarina – Brasil. Este projeto propôs a implantação de infográficos para
verificar a sua utilização e eficácia ou não, na comunicação museológica. A partir de um
diagnóstico, ações práticas e avaliação, pretendeu-se averiguar a possibilidade de seu emprego
no Museu. A Infografia no espaço museológico almeja suprir uma das carências da
comunicação nos museus, a acessibilidade informacional. Sua elaboração comunicativa
buscou completar ou não essa deficiência comunicacional, auxiliando no atendimento a seus
visitantes, estimulando-os para que percebessem o discurso presente na exposição a fim de
criar significados, narrativas e relações.The main theme of this research is museological communication through the use of
infographics. The researched Municipal Museum is located in the city of Pedras Grandes,
south of Santa Catarina - Brasil. This project proposes the implantation of infographics to
verify or not its use and effectiveness in museological communication, from a diagnosis,
practical actions and evaluation, it is intended to investigate the possibility of its use in
Museum. The infographics in the museum space aims to supply one of the communication
needs in Museums: informational accessibility, its communicative elaboration will seek to
complete or not this communicational deficiency, helping to serve its visitors, encouraging
them to perceive the discourse present in the exhibition in order to create meanings, narratives
and relationships
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Os serviços educativos em museus portugueses: uma contextualização histórica
Get PDFThis article proposes to understand what the space for the education in Portuguese museums over the years. The aim is to understand how the educational basis of ideas was developed in the Portuguese museum spaces and understand whether there is openness and receptivity to new views, moves and understandings, new actions, performances and new proposals that qualify the relationship established between the public, the heritage and the museum. By surveying information on the education activities in the Portuguese museums, the records of creations sectors, the documentation relating to the regulation of the function, among other formal and structural issues for the area, the article searches to understand the historical trajectory of educational services in Portuguese museums.

O intuito é entender como as ideias de cunho educativo se desenvolveram nos espaços museológicos portugueses e assim perceber se há abertura e receptividade para novos olhares, movimentos e entendimentos, novas ações, atuações e novas propostas que qualifiquem a relação que se estabelece entre o público, o patrimônio e o espaço museológico. Através do levantamento de informações referentes às atividades de cunho educativo desenvolvidas nas instituições museológicas portuguesas, dos registros de criações de setores, da documentação relativa à regulamentação da função, entre outras questões formais e estruturais para a área, o artigo busca compreender a trajetória histórica dos serviços educativos em museus portugueses.

Os Cadernos de Sociomuseologia 1993-2012: um balanço de 19 anos de atividade
No full textThis article aims to analyze globally the work between 1993 and 2012 by the Journal of Sociomuseology (44 volumes published), who was born to serve the education and the critical reflection that was proposed by the Post-Graduation program in Sociomuseology. During these 19 years the jornal have always been at the center of their activity the publication of texts that somehow could contribute to the reflection and consolidation of museology as social science but having the Sociomuseology as a guide. This option results in the truth of the social and cultural context in which they were born the first training programs which were designed to accommodate each and every person who already working in museums, had by reference to ecomuseology and / or new museology and of course concerns related to participation, identity, dialogic processes of acting, which in one way or another if they could relate to the content of the Declaration of Santiago Round Table 1972 and 1984 Quebec Declaration.

Esta opção resulta na verdade do contexto social e cultural no qual nasceram os primeiros programas de formação os quais tinham por objetivo acolher todos e todas as pessoas que já trabalhando em museus, tinham por referência a Ecomuseologia e/ou a nova museologia e naturalmente as preocupações relacionadas com a participação, a identidade, os processos dialógicos de atuar, os quais de uma forma ou outra se podiam relacionar com o conteúdo da Declaração da Mesa Redonda de Santiago de 1972 e da Declaração do Québec de 1984.

O público interno dos museus: reflexões sobre os funcionários de museus enquanto público-alvo das ações educativas museológicas
Get PDFFrom the understanding of Non-Formal Education linked to Museology, the article proposes a discussion that highlights the importance of reflecting on a specific public museums, their employees. Called internal public museums, the group that makes up part of the front office staff, occupies a strategic position in relation to maintaining the image of the institution and the satisfaction of museum visitors' experience. Highlighted the strategic position of the group, this paper aims to arouse the interest of museum professionals for the thematic and stimulate action towards favoring the development of the 'forgotten' public ', both professionally and personally. The stimulus comes through the proposed establishment of a methodology for an educational program directed to museum employees as justifying its relevance to the museum.

Chamado público interno dos museus, este grupo que compõe parte da equipe de front office, ocupa uma posição estratégica no que toca a manutenção da imagem da instituição e a satisfação da experiência museal dos visitantes. Evidenciada a posição estratégica do grupo, o artigo pretende despertar o interesse dos profissionais de museus para a temática e estimular uma ação no sentido de privilegiar o desenvolvimento do ‘público esquecido’, tanto a nível profissional como pessoal. O estímulo surge através da proposta de criação de uma metodologia para um programa educativo direcionado aos funcionários de museu em que se justifica sua pertinência para o museu.
