Ferreira, Ferrari: ficções do exílio
Abstract : This is a reading of both Ferreira Gullar and León Ferrari s exiles, during the last military dictatorships that took account of the Southern Cone, including Brazil and Argentina. Between 1971 and 1977, Gullar went through Moscow, Santiago, Lima and Buenos Aires, and other cities, while Ferrari settled with his family in São Paulo from late 1976 until 1984, and thereafter still divided for a few years his stay between São Paulo and Buenos Aires. Some of his most notable works were carried out in exile, so that the configuration of an exilic landscape or scene becomes inseparable from experiments conducted with language. In short, although marked by military thanatopolitics and the nomos of global capital manager, it is possible to say that exile is not given in advance and not always remains the same, whether as damage or as a gift; it is only with the language  the image, the sensible  that an exilic experience, always singular and radically contemporary, can find its exposure surface, that is, its difference. While they are profoundly dissimilar, Ferreira Gullar and León Ferrari s exiles show their affinities, particularly at times when their experiences play a common point: the space  a topos  a-topic of the impropriety, potency, of in-operativity that, together with language, resists untamable against all crystallization attempts on the idiom, people, power, and nation. Foucault, Saer, Coccia and other authors frank a thought of fiction as a contingency construction able to denature the uses of speech and the teleology that constantly haunts literature, arts, and history. In a way, fiction repeats, exposes and therefore differs fables, while exposes and differs itself. It is this in-operative operation, this affirmative work of negativity that suspends the immunitary machinery of Christian Western civilization
Astrophysical jets: insight into long term hydrodynamics. Article and Supplementary Information
Astrophysical jets are ubiquitous throughout the universe. They can be observed to emerge from protostellar objects, stellar x-ray binaries and supermassive black holes located at the center of active galaxies, and they are believed to originate from a central object that is surrounded by a magnetized accretion disc. With the motivations to understand whether hypersonic Newtonian jets produce any similarity to the morphologies observed in jets from young stellar objects (YSOs) and whether numerical codes, based on Godunov-type schemes, capture the basic physics of shocked flows, we have conceived a laboratory experiment and performed three-dimensional (3D) numerical simulations that reproduce the mid-to-long-term evolution of hypersonic jets. Here we show that these jets propagate, maintaining their collimation over long distances, in units of the jet initial radius. The jets studied are quasi-isentropic, are both lighter and heavier than the ambient and meet the two main scaling parameter requirements for proto-stellar jets: the ejection Mach number and the ambient/jet density ratio
Antisense oligonucleotides and PNAs for sequence-specific regulation of gene expression
It has become increasingly clear in recent years that there are many possible regulatory steps in the pathway from gene to protein: chromatin conformation and transcriptional control; post-transcriptional regulation, particularly splicing, mRNA stability, nuclear cytoplasm transport of mRNAs, natural antisense transcripts; translational and post-translational control. Using antisense strategies it is possible to interfere with most of the regulatory mechanisms underlying gene expression both in embryonic and somatic cells. The specific gene inactivation in a particular cellular context is the necessary step to evaluate its possible biological function. Several different technical approaches based on different methodologies underlie antisense strategies. Among these, antisense oligonucleotides and peptide nucleic acids (PNAs) are considered in this short review. In these experimental approaches it is essential to identify the target genes and the most suitable cellular system. In fact, gene inactivation in somatic cells allows us to study basic questions in cell biology, such as cell cycle regulation, differentiation apoptosis, cell activation, cellular transformation, without having to struggle with the complexities of animal models. We have studied the biological consequences of c-myb, c-fes and Bax genes inactivation in normal and leukemic myeloid cells and their possible therapeutic applications. New delivery systems, based on translocating peptides to efficiently penetrate the cells with antisense oligonucleotides, PNAs and biologically active peptides are also discussed
Ma rende merito del cruciale contributo di Sergio Torsello alla renaissance culturale salentina degli anni dal 2001 al 2015.This contribution aims to describe the three “souls” of Sergio Torsello – Artistic Director of “La Notte della Taranta” Festival, Scientific Consultant of “Diego Carpitella” Institute, and Cultural Mediator
between and for the artistic talents of his territory. The starting point of the description is an article by Sergio Torsello, published in 2011 in a book of which the author of the description was the editor. The author highlights the close connection between the three souls of Sergio Torsello, which emerges not only from the above-mentioned article, but also from the numerous interactions between Sergio Torsello and the author. The description of the scientific significance of Sergio Torsello’s figure is certainly partial, limited in time (the 8 years, from 2007 to 2015, in which he interacted with the author) and in space (in terms of set of topics of their scientific and cultural conversations). But it gives merit to Sergio Torsello’s key contribution to the cultural renaissance of Salento in the years from 2001 to 2015

The theme of athletic identity has been extensively explored in psychological literature, which has shown particular interest in the variables that contribute to the construction and reconstruction of the self when moving from elite sport to other contexts of life and experience. However, this theme has been less explored in pedagogy. If the shift from such an intense emotional-affective experience context, such as elite sport, to other contexts of life, such as work and adult life, can be a moment of crisis for the individual, then pedagogy is called upon to reflect on how it is possible to support the effective reshaping of an identity and which strategies to use. Through the case study of Vanessa Ferrari, the undisputed queen of Italian artistic gymnastics who has recently returned to prominence in international competitions, the aim of this qualitative study is to highlight the importance assumed by athletic identity in the meaning of individual and sporting biographie

Stochastic Generalized Nash Equilibrium-Seeking in Merely Monotone Games
We solve the stochastic generalized Nash equilibrium (SGNE) problem in merely monotone games with expected value cost functions. Specifically, we present the first distributed SGNE-seeking algorithm for monotone games that require one proximal computation (e.g., one projection step) and one pseudogradient evaluation per iteration. Our main contribution is to extend the relaxed forward–backward operator splitting by the Malitsky (Mathematical Programming, 2019) to the stochastic case and in turn to show almost sure convergence to an SGNE when the expected value of the pseudogradient is approximated by the average over a number of random samples.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Team Sergio GrammaticoTeam Bart De Schutte
Sergio Bettini e la critica d’arte
On the occasion of the publication of two books about Sergio Bettini’s works (unpublished studies, conference proceedings and critical apparatus) the author analyzes the scientific production of this scholar during his life (1930-1986). Furtherly this essay analyzes the great scholar’s relationship with the School of Wien and first of all his deep connection with all European different critical and comparative points of view
