On this article, the author analyses some advertising texts created by Fernando Pessoa and
some of his thoughts about this activity. The main attention goes to the famous slogan “Primeiro
estranha-se. Depois entranha-se”, analysed through the principles of the functions
and proprieties of this element of advertisements. Finally, the author presents a recent slogan, constructed through the slogan of the Portuguese writer

Fernando Pessoa. Foram avaliados 164 indivíduos dos 17 aos 81 anos (118 do sexo feminino e 46 do sexo masculino)
entre estudantes, docentes e funcionários da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, no âmbito do Projecto Ambulatório
de Saúde Oral e Pública desta Universidade, através de desnitometria óssea por ultrassons. Os parâmetros de t-score
e densidade mineral óssea revelaram-se, de uma forma geral, normais. Contudo é necessário atender ao facto de a
amostra em análise ser ainda jovem e pouco activa, pelo que no futuro estes valores poderão tornar-se o espelho da
osteoporose.
The main purpose of this study was to estimate the bone mineral density in the community of University Fernando
Pessoa. There were evaluated 164 subjects with ages from 17 until 81 years old (118 females and 46 males) involving
students, teachers and workers of the University Fernando Pessoa, during the Ambulatory Project of Oral and Public
Health, by ultrasound densitometry. The parameters of t-score and bone mineral density were generally normal. However
it is necessary to consider that this sample was young and not very active, so in the future these results could
become a mirror for osteoporosis
A imortalidade simbólica na vida e obra de Fernando Pessoa
Get PDFO conceito de imortalidade simbólica, operacionalizado por Lifton (1964) reporta-se ao desejo inerente à espécie humana, de perpetuação para além da morte física. Este desejo, segundo Lifton, é a forma como o ser humano ultrapassa simbolicamente a sua condição de finito, ou seja a ansiedade provocada pela consciência da sua própria morte. Sendo o desejo de imortalidade simbólica expresso em cinco modos (biológico, religioso, natural, experiencial e criativo), fazemos uma reflexão sobre este último na vida e obra de Fernando Pessoa, imortalizado, através do legado literário que deixou e dos múltiplos heterónimos que criou. The concept of symbolic immortality, operated by Lifton (1964) refers to the desire inherent in the human species, in addition to the perpetuation of physical death. This desire, according to Lifton, is the way that human beings find to overcome the idea of death, and the anxiety associated to the perspective of death, that is the anxiety caused by the consciousness of our own death. As the desire for symbolic immortality expressed in five ways (biological, religious, natural, experiential and creative), we reflect on the latter’s life and work of Fernando Pessoa, immortalized by the literary legacy he left and he created by his multiple heteronyms
Crítica genética, investigación y enseñanza en Arquitectura: el caso del seminario “Le Corbusier y las casas Loucheur” (Universidade Fernando Pessoa)
Get PDFLos proyectos y obras arquitectónicas pueden constituir una fuente de conocimiento. Si el estudio atiende, además, a su proceso creativo, las pistas se multiplican, la metodología del autor se revela.
En este sentido, la metodología de la crítica genética permite elevar el proyecto arquitectónico a campo de investigación. El estudio crítico-genético de un proyecto y su proceso creativo equivale a reconstruir un pequeño fragmento de Historia de la Arquitectura, encarada ésta desde un punto de vista completamente disciplinar, desde el oficio, autónomo.
Podría así hablarse de una “Micro-Historia” de la Arquitectura, de una “Historia de los edificios”. En el plano pedagógico, este tipo de trabajo de investigación consigue ventajosamente fundir tres ejes de la Arquitectura, muchas veces disociados o débilmente ligados: el Proyecto, la Historia y la Teoría. El seminario “Le Corbusier y las maisons Loucheur” (Mestrado Integrado em Arquitectura, Universidad Fernando Pessoa), expuesto en este artículo, es un ejemplo de ello.Os projectos e obras arquitectónicas podem constituir uma fonte de conhecimento, objectiva e disciplinar. Se o estudo atende, além disso, ao seu processo criativo, as pistas multiplicam-se, e a metodologia do autor revela-se.
Neste sentido, a metodologia da crítica genética permite elevar o projecto arquitectónico à categoria de campo de investigação. O estudo crítico-genético dum projecto e do seu processo criativo equivale a reconstruir um pequeno fragmento de História da Arquitectura, a partir de um ponto de vista completamente disciplinar, a partir do ofício, autónomo.
Poderia assim falar-se de uma “Micro-História” da Arquitectura, de uma “História dos edifícios”. No âmbito pedagógico, este tipo de trabalho de investigação consegue vantajosamente fundir três eixos da Arquitectura, muitas vezes dissociados ou debilmente ligados: o Projecto, a História e a Teoria. O seminário “Le Corbusier e as maisons Loucheur” (Mestrado Integrado em Arquitectura, Universidade Fernando Pessoa), apresentado neste artigo, é um exemplo disso.The projects and architectural works can be a source of objective and disciplinary knowledge. But if the study attends also to its creative process, the tracks multiply, and the author’s methodology is revealed.
In this sense, the methodology of Genetic Criticism allows to raise architectural design into the research field category. The critical-genetic study of a project and its creative process amounts to a reconstruction of a small fragment of History of Architecture, from a completely disciplinary point of view: from the craft perspective.
We could thus talk about a “Micro-History” of Architecture, a “History of the buildings”. In the educational scope, this type of research can advantageously merge three aspects of architecture, often dissociated or weakly connected: Design, History and Theory. What did the poet choose to give of himself to presença? Was he consistent with the statements that appear in his correspondence? A pertinência deste assunto prende-se com uma nova realidade no que concerne ao acesso à informação em contexto académico e de investigação. Assim, revemos qual é o impacto que o aparecimento da biblioteca digital veio proporcionar, incluindo os aspectos tecnológicos, bem como as vantagens e desvantagens que acarreta. Finalmente, apresentamos os aspectos mais importantes relacionados com o projecto da biblioteca Digital da universidade fernando pessoa.

Faculdade Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, através de uma amostra
aleatória simples de 199 pacientes, atendidos nos meses de Março e Abril de 2005. Foi aplicado um questionário com 20 questões fechadas e 1 aberta, sendo os dados colectados submetidos a análise estatística recorrendo ao software SPSS 12.0. De um modo geral, os pacientes estão satisfeitos com a clínica dentária da FCS-UFP, acreditam que podem receber cuidados médico-dentários de qualidade e indicariam o serviço para outras pessoas.
This study evaluates the patient’s satisfaction of the Health Sciences College dental clinic of the University Fernando Pessoa, from a random simple sample of 199 patients. It was taken between the months of March and April of 2005. A questionnaire with 20 closed questions and 1 opened was applied and the data collected was submitted under the software SPSS 12.0 for statistic analysis. Through the creation of his heteronymys, Pessoa addresses fundamental questions related to the fragmentation of the self and the complexity of human identity. The analysis centers on the multifaceted nature of the author, investigating how each heteronym represents a distinct aspect of his inner world and an attempt to understand and transcend the limits of individuality
