APPLICATION OF THE THREE ROTHMAN EMPOWERMENT MODELS IN COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ACTIVITIES BY THREE NGOs IN WEST SUMATERA
The NGO certainly has its own way of carrying out community empowerment activities. When asked what model of empowerment was used by the three NGOs in West Sumatra, they basically built all the empowerment models, including the Rothman Empowerment model. After further investigation, the application of the Rothman empowerment model to the empowerment program carried out by NGOs was not fully implemented by the NGOs Jemari Sakato, YCM-M and LP2M. The three NGOs only used several indicators of the Rothman empowerment model in the empowerment program carried out by the NGO. For this reason, it is necessary to explain how the application of the Rothman empowerment model was carried out by the three NGOs considered that not all indicators of the empowerment model could be realized by NGOs. The purposes of this research were to describe the implementation of Rothman’s Model on every empowerment program which held by the NGOs. To describe the data collected, the researcher uses the perspective “Rothman's Three Models of Community Organizing”. This Researched used qualitative approach. The selection of informants was done by using purposive sampling technique and data collected techniques with in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The results from this research are the NGO of Jemari Sakato used Locality Development as its model of Rothman, YCM-M used Social Planning model of Rothman, and LP2M used Social Action Model of Rothman with nine indicators. This research has never been done before by other author

Stephanie Rothman Does Not Exist: Narrating a Lost History of Women in Film
This article examines Stephanie Rothman and her career as a second-wave exploitation film director between 1966 and 1974. Marginally represented in film histories and archives, Rothman made seven films during her short career and flourished in the primarily masculinized world of second-wave exploitation filmmaking. Despite her success, she remains largely obscure to academic and popular film communities. Grounding the discussion in a series of interviews conducted with the director, the author examines Rothman's role as the rare woman director working in second-wave exploitation filmmaking—and, indeed, in Hollywood—through her professional and personal ideology, her relationship with Roger Corman, and her marginalized place in film history. In so doing, this article provides an interventional model for the reconceptualization of film histories and archives through a feminist framework.</jats:p
Lizzo “Truth Hurts” Co-Author Allegations
Famous recording artist, Lizzo, filed a preemptive lawsuit on October 23rd, 2019 to disprove allegations that Justin and Jeramiah Raisen and Justin “Yves” Rothman deserve author credit for her song, “Truth Hurts.”Lizzo is seeking a declaratory judgment that the alleged authors have no interest in the copyright or right to share profits. The Raisens and Rothman claim that the lyric “I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100% that bitch”, which originated from a popular internet meme, was a part of an unreleased demo, which Lizzo recorded at the Raisen’s studio, and on the final track. Lizzo claims that Rothman believes that she will pay him to stop making accusations against her, simply because he was present at a writing session for the demo track.

The Epidemiologist's Lament
Despite increasing public demand and support for epidemiological
research, Rothman and other investigators find it increasingly difficult to
obtain permission to conduct their studies in hospitals. Considered outsiders
in most institutions but dependent on patient interviews for much of their
data, epidemiologists must meet stringent, often unrealistic informed consent
requirements set by unsympathetic institutional review boards (IRBs). Since
it appears unlikely that the boards will relinquish their review prerogatives,
the author recommends the appointment of epidemiologists to hospital IRBs to
advise members on how to evaluate epidemiologic projects. (KIE abstract

The relationship between L3 transfer and structural similarity across L3 development: raising across an experience in Brazilian Portuguese
The present study examines three competing models of morphosyntactic transfer in third language (L3) acquisition, examining the particular domain of the feature configuration of embedded T in L3 Brazilian Portuguese (BP) at the initial stages and then through development. The methodology alternates Spanish and English as the L1 and L2 to tease apart the source of transfer to L3 BP. Results from a scalar grammaticality acceptability task show unequivocal transfer of Spanish irrespective of Spanish’s status as an L1 or L2. The data thus support the Typological Primacy Model (Rothman 2010, 2011, 2013a, 2013b), which proposes that multilingual transfer is selected by factors related to comparative structural similarity. Given that Spanish transfer at the L3 initial stages creates the need for feature reconfiguration to converge on the target BP grammar, the second part of this chapter examines the developmental consequences of what the TPM models in cases of non-facilitative initial transfer, that is, the developmental path of feature reconfiguration of embedded T in L3 BP by English/Spanish bilinguals. Given what these data reveal, we address the role of regressive transfer as a correlate of L3 proficiency gains
Shortcomings
My thesis project is a half-hour dark comedy television show that I created and starred in entitled Shortcomings. My thesis includes a filmed pilot-pitch presentation, pitch deck, and a written pilot episode. I originally conceived the concept for this show in early 2008 prior to attending the Master of Fine Arts program at California State University, Los Angeles in the fall of 2009. I came to this unique theatre, film and television MFA program with the soul intention of further developing my television show concept. I am an actress who is physically challenged and a wheelchair user. I wrote Shortcomings to jumpstart my own acting career where I would play the leading role, Dr. Vickie Ziegler. This project report includes my description of the television show, the process of how I developed it both as a writer and actress, and what inspired me to create it. In addition, I have included my own personal journey of how I have turned my perceived liability of being physically challenged into an enormous asset to my professional career as an actress.Shortcomings follows Dr. Vickie Ziegler, a 3'8" tall, famous wheelchair wielding motivational speaker, therapist, and best-selling author who struggles to conceal her secret sex addiction. Every time her small stature becomes an obstacle or hindrance, she acts out sexually. Despite her squeaky clean public image, and her countless stories that inspire and change the lives of her fans and patients, Vickie is leading a double life as a sex addict, and her public persona is constantly in jeopardyThesis (M.F.A.)
