    Indonesia is a heterogeneous country with an extraordinary level of diversity in various aspects of life, including religion, culture, and language. This diversity affects people in interacting and communicating, of course, it will be difficult to adjust to the changes that occur in these different social environments. On the one hand, cultural diversity can add to the cultural repertoire of the nation, but on the other hand, it can have a negative impact on the fading of the nation's character. This can be seen from the many people who have individualism, intolerance, like to spread hoax news and use technology less wisely. The existence of this problem can trigger disharmony and disharmony in the social life of the community. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to take preventive action through education, one of which is by strengthening social studies learning in schools. The purpose of social studies learning itself helps students become good citizens and have social intelligence in maximising their role in the family and community environment. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using three data collection techniques, namely the first observation, second interview, third documentation. Then the researcher's data analysis technique uses the main data, namely data reduction, data analysis, and conclusions. Based on the results of the research that we observed how to strengthen the social spirit of children through social studies learning teachers provide understanding, support along with examples of behaviour that illustrates a positive social spirit towards students. The teacher becomes a roll model for students, the term teacher gives an example first how to behave socially towards peers, such as helping friends who are in trouble

    A dignidade do adolescente autor de ato infracional: o poder judiciário como instrumento de efetivação

    Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Ciências Jurídicas, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito, Florianópolis, 2009.Esta dissertação de mestrado tem como objeto o estudo da dignidade do adolescente autor de ato infracional e o Poder Judiciário como instrumento de efetivação. A opção pela análise e correlação dos temas Poder Judiciário, princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana e adolescente autor de ato infracional deve-se, primeiramente, ao fato de estarem intimamente ligados frente a uma efetiva concretização do Estado Democrático de Direito disposto na Constituição da República Federativa do Brasil de 1988. E, em segundo lugar, por tais temas serem comumente representados mais pelas omissões, ou pelo senso comum, do que por debates e estudos que realmente contribuam, daí a preocupação de romper com uma herança jurídica tradicional. Para se chegar às conclusões, partiu-se da análise do histórico e considerações conceituais da dignidade da pessoa humana, bem como o estudo de sua trajetória nas Cartas Constitucionais brasileiras até a Constituição vigente. Em seguida, examinou-se o escorço histórico e os conceitos das medidas sócio-educativas e do ato infracional no Direito brasileiro para então, ao término do trabalho, se verificar o papel do Poder Judiciário como instrumento de efetivação do princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana em relação ao adolescente autor de ato infracional, dando-se ênfase à realidade do Estado de Santa Catarina.This master dissertation aims to study the teenager in conflict with law dignity and the Judiciary as an warranter. The choice of analysing and relating the Judiciary, Human Dignity legal principle and adolescent author of breaking laws derives, first, from the fact of being closely linked to each other in view of an effective accomplishment of the Constitutional Democratic State established in the Federal Constitution of 1988. In second place, because these subjects are more usually represented for omissions or for common sense than for debates and studies that really contribute, reason of the concern for breaching a traditional judicial heritage. To reach the conclusions, we started by analysing the historic outline and considerations about the concept of Human Dignity and, as well, studying its path through brazilian Constitutions until the current one. After, the historic outline and concepts of socio-educational measures were analysed, besides the offensive acts in brazilian law. Bringing the job to completion, we verified the role played by the Judiciary as an instrument to achieve the Human Dignity legal principle, towards the teenager in conflict with law, giving emphasis on the reality in Santa Catarina
