“Nina Fits Patrick”: Transnational Alliances and the Collaborative Textual Body of "The Loves of Faustyna"
No full textThis essay reads The Loves of Faustyna 1995 by Nina FitzPatrick, a pseudonym for the collaborative writing of Nina Witoszek, a writer and scholar of Polish origin currently living in Norway, and her late partner Patrick Sheeran, an Irish academic. Focusing on the experiences of a female half-Jewish activist and member of Solidarność, FitzPatrick’s postmodern, hybrid text irreverently confronts the implicit violence of Catholic and patriarchal independence movements. Beginning with an analysis of the method of the text’s production as a collaborative writerly act attributed to a single, authorial signature, this essay argues that The Loves of Faustyna offers a dialogic mode of anticolonial resistance predicated on sharing, relating, and fusing the personal stories of differently colonized Polish and Irish bodies. Both Poland and Ireland have experienced centuries-long occupations by foreign invaders, a historical burden that has affected each country’s respective cultural imaginary and created a sense of national identity under siege. No full textPrzedmiotem analizy jest tekst spisany przez s. Faustynę Kowalską zatytułowany Dzienniczek, który ma cechy dziennika intymnego nieprofesjonalisty. Posługuję się koncepcją teoretyczną Alfreda Schütza, by przedstawić mikroświaty działającej jednostki. Moja teza brzmi następująco: Dzienniczek można traktować z perspektywy socjologii fenomenologicznej jako zapis świata działania zakonnicy, która doświadcza odkrycia powołania, komunikując się w obrębie różnych mikroświatów. Podstawowym obszarem jest dla niej mikroświat religijny. Zgodnie z projektem ontologii społecznej poszukuję prawd ogólnych, dotyczących form bytu społecznego. Siostra Faustyna została kanonizowana w 2000 r. Dzienniczek uznaje się obecnie za najczęściej tłumaczone na języki obce dzieło spisane po polsku.The subject of the analysis is the text written by Sister Faustyna Kowalska entitled Diary: Divine Mercy in My Soul, which has the characteristics of an intimate journal of a non-‑professionalist. I am using the theoretical concept of Alfred Schütz to present the sub-worlds of an acting individual. My thesis sounds as follows: The Diary can be treated from the perspective of phenomenological sociology as a record of the world of the nun’s action, which experiences the discovery of a vocation, communicating within various sub-universes. The basic area for her is the religious sub-world. According to the project of social ontology, I am looking for general truths regarding forms of social existence. Sister Faustyna was canonized in 2000. The Diary is now considered to be the most frequently translated work written in Polish
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
OBE-Based Education Crisis Communication Strategy After the Covid-19 Pandemic
Get PDFThe phenomenon of graduates who are by their specialization while studying at institutions or schools or universities often occurs that is different from the jobs they get in the outside environment or the company where they work. Many even cannot get jobs because they are not by their education. The author aims to carry out this research to identify and describe how institutions integrate education through media and OBE (outcome-based education) to create appropriate graduates according to the crisis communication strategy. Data collection uses descriptive-qualitative methods based on Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), and data are collected through documents in the form of workplace phenomena related to media and technology integration. The results of this study indicate that the education provider uses a crisis communication strategy in the implementation of education associated with the integration of media and technology. Conclusion of the process of educational institutions using crisis communication strategies through transparency, crisis teams, social media integration, psychological support and evaluation in learning in higher education institutions
Worship Forms of the Divine Mercy in the Visions of Sister Faustyna Kowalska
No full textLudzie wierzący od zarania biblijnych dziejów wielbili Miłosierną Miłość Boga, gdy poznawali ją i realnie doświadczali jej w Bożych dziełach, od stworzenia wszechświata i człowieka aż po odkupienie całej ludzkości w Jezusie Chrystusie. Od tego wydarzenia Jego Miłosierna Miłość doznaje uwielbienia w Kościele, szczególnie w sprawowanej w nim liturgii oraz kulcie. Jednak dopiero mistyczne objawienia, których doświadczyła Faustyna Kowalska, wywołały ożywioną dyskusję w kwestii odrębnego od dotychczasowych form i oficjalnego w całym Kościele rzymskokatolickim kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego oraz nowych sposobów jego sprawowania. W artykule zostanie przedstawiona treść orędzia o Bożym Miłosierdziu oraz opis form jego kultu (święto Miłosierdzia, obraz Jezusa Miłosiernego, koronka i inne modlitwy). Zostaną one omówione chronologicznie zgodnie z przesłaniem, jakie otrzymała Faustyna w licznych wizjach i rozmowach z Jezusem. Jako Apostołka Bożego Miłosierdzia wybrana przez Niego i powołana do głoszenia wiecznej prawdy o Miłosierdziu Stwórcy i Zbawiciela, okazała się nadzwyczaj ubogacona poznaniem i doświadczeniem tej tajemnicy i głęboko przekonana o osobistej misji. Dlatego też należy nieustannie przypominać ludzkości owo orędzie.Since the dawn of biblical history believers have worshiped God’s Merciful Love when they got to know it and really experienced it in God’s works, from the creation of the universe and man, to the redemption of all humanity in Jesus Christ. From this moment His Merciful Love has been worshiped in the Church especially in the liturgy and worship celebrated there. However, it was only because of the mystical manifestations experienced by Faustyna Kowalska that induced a lively discussion about the worship of Divine Mercy distinct from the previous and official forms in the entire Roman Catholic Church and new forms of its celebration. The article presents the message of the Divine Mercy and a description of the forms of its worship (the Feast of Mercy, the image of Merciful Jesus, the chaplet and other prayers). They are discussed chronologically according to the messages Faustyna received in numerous visions as well as conversations with Jesus. Being chosen an Apostle of Divine Mercy and called to proclaim the eternal truth about the Mercy of the Creator and Saviour she turned out to be extraordinarily enriched with the knowledge and experience of this mystery and deeply convinced about her personal mission. Therefore, mankind should be constantly reminded of this message

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
