Piero Sraffa and His Books – a foreword to the Catalogue of his inimitable library
This foreword gives a preview of the sort of books Piero Sraffa collected, specifying the criteria that appear to have been used for the selection. The Author of this foreword is convinced that the discovery of these criteria may help to understand the basis of the type of history of economic thought that Piero Sraffa had in mind
Piero Vignozzi, o dell'impronta residua
The author considers the tendency in the d'après by Piero Vignozzi to elide elements of well-known works by old masters, and concludes that we are seeing a reflection of Robert Rauschenberg's Erased de Kooning Drawing
A mode coupling theory analysis of viscoelasticity near the kinetic glass transition of a copolymer micellar system
We report a set of viscoelastic measurements in concentrated aqueous solutions of a copolyrner micellar system with short-range inter-micellar attractive interactions, a colloidal system characterized, in different regions of the composition-temperature phase diagram, by the existence of a percolation line (PT) and a kinetic glass transition (KGT). Both these transitions cause dramatic changes in the system viscoelasticity. Whereas the observed variations of the shear moduli at the PT are described in terms of percolation models, for the structural arrest at the KGT we investigate the frequency-dependent shear modulus behaviours by using a mode coupling theory (MCT) approach
Esserci e temporalità ne «La figlia di Babilonia» di Piero Bigongiari
Being there and temporality in La figlia di Babilonia of Piero Bigongiari · In this paper the author takes on Piero Bigongiari’s book of poetry La figlia di Babilonia (1942) by means of the categories of being-there and temporality by Martin Heidegger. Through an analysis of the Tuscan poet’s essays and interviews and foremost through the most important texts of this book poetry, the author shows how hermetic poetic is deeply rooted in the diffusion of German existentialism in Ital
Il Ponte di Piero Calamandrei
The paper traces the history of the journal Il Ponte, founded by Piero Calamandrei in April 1945, in order to capture the ideal roots of this audacious publishing initiative. The Author focuses on the liberal-socialist vocation of the journal and on the ideals of European federalism that led Calamandrei to oppose the Atlantic Pact. Lastly, he delves into the commitment of the Florentine jurist in support of the Constitution, democracy and the Welfare State

This is a panoramic vision of 20 years of CSD-researches and other 20 years of data-studies on the possible influence of External Energies(EE) on the bio-substrata in comparison also with the studies of several authors on the other substrata, including human health (i. e.: in the space vectors). The author put in evidence Cosmic Rays and Solar Activity as dominant factors of External Energies influencing directly or indirectly the substrata in the biosphere, including CSD.
Piero Sraffa and the future of economics
How did Piero Sraffa look at the future of economic theory: first, when he arrived in England in the mid-1920s, and then, after the publication of his extraordinarily compact little book (Production of Commodities by Means of Commodities, 1960)? The Author sifts through Sraffa’s published works, and abundant unpublished papers, his acquaintances and personal contacts and vicissitudes. The conclusions he arrives
at remain problematical; but do not refrain him from clearly expressing his specific, quite definite, view
