No full textThe research aims to develop and experiment with a new form of visualization of one of the most celebrated treatises in Descriptive Geometry: La Géométrie descriptive. Leçons données aux Écoles normales, l'an 3 de la République published in Paris in 1827 and written by the French mathematician Gaspard Monge (1746–1818). First of all the research focuses on digitizing the 25 planchets contained within the treatise and showing solutions to complex geometry ex-ercizes through the use of the method of double orthogonal projections and, then, on the study of a new form of communication of the discipline that would facilitate its learning. The aim of the research is thus to begin a path of accessing information through e-learning based forms of learning. At a later stage, such an approach could see its scope broadened by involving other ancient treatises that do not necessarily deal with purely geometric apparatuses but may also find applications in other disciplinary fields

No full textLa cartografia storica, con il suo potere di restituire dettagliatamente le sfumature di un territorio nel corso del tempo, offre una prospettiva unica per esplorare la misura e la rappresentazione nel campo del Disegno. Il progetto di Eugenio Miozzi per un’autostrada galleggiante di collegamento tra la terraferma e Venezia, sebbene rimasto sulla carta, costituisce un esempio emblematico di come la misura e la rappresentazione siano centrali nell’ideazione di infrastrutture innovative. Attraverso la ricostruzione digitale di questo progetto storico, è possibile analizzare in dettaglio le sfide e le poten-zialità connesse alla traduzione di idee visionarie in realtà tangibili. La combinazione di metodologie avanzate di modellazione tridimensionale e l’approfondimento delle fonti storiche consentono di get-tare nuova luce sul processo di progettazione e sulle decisioni di design adottate da Miozzi. Questo approccio multidisciplinare offre l’opportunità di esplorare il ruolo della misura e della rappresenta-zione, aprendo nuovi orizzonti nella comprensione del legame tra visione e realizzazione nel disegno

No full textKnowing the history of a city and of the transformations that have led to the present configuration of an area or an urban landscape is a topic as fascinating as complex that requires a great effort both in terms of archival and iconographic research and in terms of the subsequent critical interpretation of the documents found. Very often the researcher is faced with a scenario which is a heterogeneous set of data that needs to be verified from time to time, in order to reconstruct the temporal consecutio and the development of the transformations that have occurred. Each scholar aims to a representa-tion of the bases of history to bring back to light the starting stages that have marked the natural – or anthropic – development of the city. The research aims to narrate, reconstruct, and visualize the historical stages that, starting from 1806 have led to the current configuration of the weastern wing of piazza San Marco
