Synthesis of context-aware business-to-business processes for location-based services through choreographies
Modern technologies and emerging wireless communication solutions in the ICT world are empowering the spread of the most disparate ready-to-use software services distributed over the globe and accessed by an increasing number of users. This state of affairs encourages the development of systems based on the reuse of existing services through composition approaches, notably choreographies. Also Public Administrations are driven towards a digitalization process which exploits composition approaches to build complex and interoperable systems that can be remotely accessed by citizens and authorities. However, an automatic support is needed in order to realize the service composition and the distributed coordination logic that enforces the correct choreography realization. Moreover, the need for building dynamic and user-centered systems calls for the realization of choreographies capable to adjust their behavior to the surrounding context. This work presents our proposal for addressing the choreography realization problem, by describing an automated process for the synthesis of choreography-based systems. The synthesized systems are location-aware and able to adapt the services' interaction according to the user's needs and context conditions. We show and evaluate our approach at work on a real use case scenario in the Public Administration domain
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Termo- e foto- degradazione di nano compositi a base di nylon 11

Bio-polyamide 11 hybrid composites reinforced with basalt/flax interwoven fibers: A tough green composite for semi-structural applications
Intraply hybrid green composites were prepared by film stacking and hot-pressing of bio-based polyamide 11 (PA11) sheets and commercial hybrid fabrics made by interweaving flax and basalt fibers (2/2 twill structure). Two matrices were considered, one of them containing a plasticizing agent. After preliminary thermal and rheological characterizations of the neat matrices, the laminates were studied in terms of flexural properties at low and high deformation rates, and the results were interpreted in the light of morphological analyses (scanning electron and optical microscopy). Despite the poor interfacial adhesion detected for all investigated composite samples, the latter exhibited a good combination of flexural strength, modulus, and impact resistance. Such well-balanced mechanical properties make the studied samples potential candidates for semi-structural applications, e.g., in the transportation sector

A simple rheological method for the experimental assessment of the fiber percolation threshold in short fiber biocomposites
The identification of the percolation threshold (Φc) in short fiber composites is a challenging problem in Composite Science. Above Φc the fibers form a continuous network that causes substantial changes in mechanical and transport properties. Besides, percolation of natural fibers in biodegradable polymer matrices allows water and other pro-degradative species to access the inner parts of the material from the external environment, accelerating biodegradation. Whether such a speeding up is desired or not, assessing Φc in composites is of utmost importance. Unfortunately, natural fibers are not conductive and exhibit highly variable shape and physical properties. This prevents the use of many experimental and theoretical approaches for the estimate of Φc. Here we propose an original rheological approach borrowed from the viscoelastic modelling of polymer nanocomposites. The method was applied to two systems made of poly(lactic acid) filled with hemp or kenaf fibers (average length 3 weeks) dielectric spectroscopy analyses (∼10.1 and 18.5 vol%)
