No full textIn this article the author discusses the inter-disciplinary relations between post-Medieval archaeology, ethno-archaeology and oral history and analyses this problem considering the extensive use that post-Medieval archaeology makes of non-archaeological sources. The contribution of oral history to the definition of interpretative models of the archaeological record is particularly identificable in the study of the process of formation of archaeological stratification and for the functional interpretation of the spaces. This connectio can be intensified and integrated with the instruments supplied by ethno-archaeology for the interpretation f the stratigraphic excavation

No full textNel 1793 il domenicano Alessandro Garioni pubblicò a Milano un’edizione della Batracomiomachia corredata di traduzione letterale italiana e “parafrasi” poetica in milanese. Nell’introduzione, Garioni attribuisce con convinzione il poemetto ad Omero. In quest’ottica, si tratta dunque del primo tentativo di tradurre Omero in milanese. L’analisi di quest’opera e del suo rapporto con la letteratura precedente, erudita e non solo, si propone di collocarla nella storia della fortuna dei Classici e della letteratura milanese. In particolare, si evidenzia come la parafrasi milanese non possa considerarsi parodia del poemetto greco.In 1793 the Dominican monk Alessandro Garioni published an edition of the Battle of mice and frogs with a literal Italian translation and poetic “paraphrasing” in Milanese. In the introduction, Garioni ascribes the poem to Homer. In his view, this was the first attempt to translate Homer into Milanese. The analysis of the work and its relationship to earlier literature, both scholarly and not, aims to place it within the tradition of Classical and Milanese literature. In particular, it is noted that the paraphrasing in Milanese is not a parody of the Greek poem

This articles deals with the different forms of settlements present in the medieval Sardinia wich, up until the third quarter of the 13th century, coincided with the Giudicato di Torres. The author proposes a different approach for the rural settlements composed of peasents and the places of power represented mainly by the principal sites in the territory characterized by the process of castle building, with particular reference to the powerful lordship of the Genoese Doria family
