The Training of Multiplicative Neuron Model Based Artificial Neural Networks With Differential Evolution Algorithm For Forecasting

There are some types of artificial neural networks and feed forward artificial neural networks model is one of them. Although feed forward artificial neural networks gives successful forecasting results they have a basic problem. This problem is architecture selection problem. In order to eliminate this problem, Yadav et al. (2007) proposed multiplicative neuron model artificial neural network. In this study, differential evolution algorithm is proposed for the training of multiplicative neuron model for forecasting. The proposed method is applied to two well-known different real world time series data
Astrophysical Parameters of the Open Cluster Berkeley 6
In this study, the structural and basic astrophysical parameters of the
poorly studied open cluster Berkeley 6 are calculated. Analyses of the cluster
are carried out using the third photometric, spectroscopic, and astrometric
data release of Gaia (Gaia DR3). The membership probabilities of stars located
in the direction of the cluster region are calculated by considering their
astrometric data. Thus, we identified 119 physical members for Berkeley 6. The
colour excess, distance, and age of the cluster are determined simultaneously
on the colour-magnitude diagram. We fitted solar metallicity PARSEC isochrones
to the colour-magnitude diagram by considering the most probable member stars
and obtained colour excess as 0.9180.145 mag.
The distance and age of the cluster are determined as pc and

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Alkan Hidrokarbonları Parçalayan Enterobacter ludwigii strain D8 Suşunun Petrolle Kirlenmiş Topraklardan İzolasyonu ve Karakterizasyonu
A bacterial strain has been isolated from petroleum contaminated soil with in southeastern Turkey. This isolated strain was characterized to determine its hydrocarbon biodegradation potential. Phenotypic features and of 16 S gene sequence analysis of rRNA revealed that strain D8 belongs to the Enterobacter genus and most closely resembles Enterobacter ludwigii (100%). The optimum temperature and pH values for the growth of E. ludwigii D8 were found to be 30°C and 5.0, respectively. This bacterial strain grew in long and medium chain hydrocarbons such as 1% decane, pentadecane and squalene separately at the end of 3 day incubation in the basal medium (BM) under optimum conditions. It was shown that E. ludwigii strain D8 degrades about 27% of crude oil incubated for 5 days, while it degrades 29% of pentadecane after 3 days of incubation determined by Gas chromatography-MS analysis. The biodegradation potential of petroleum hydrocarbons of E. ludwigii strain D8 isolated and characterized in this study indicates that this strain may play a role in the bioremediation process
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Artificial neural networks in estimation of hydrocyclone parameter d50c with unusual input variables
The accuracy in the estimation of hydrocyclone parameter, d50c, can substantially be improved by application of artificial neural networks (ANN). With ANN, many nonconventional operational variables such as water and solid split ratios, overflow and underflow densities, apex and spigot flowrates can easily be incorporated as the input parameters in the prediction of d50c. The ANN yields high correlation of data, hence it can be used in automatic control and multiphase operations of hydrocyclones

This work is about the roles of Author, Publisher and Bookseller in Book development in
Nigeria. The paper started by delving into the history of Book Publishing in Nigeria after
which it proceeded by defining who an author, a publisher, and a bookseller is and
expatiated on the indispensable roles of these key actors in Nigerian Book Industry and in
the emerging Information Society. Furthermore, the various constraints to book
development were identified while the paper advised on how the Book Industry can be
