Pars plana vitrectomy was applied for endophthalmitis and group G Streptococcus cultures were isolated in the vitreous samples taken from the patient. Twenty-four hours following pars plana vitrectomy the patient underwent myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest. To our knowledge this is the first reported case of group G Streptococcus endophthalmitis following an intravitreal injection. Keywords: group G Streptococcus, endophthalmitis, intravitreal injectio
The static bicycle relocation problem with demand intervals
This study introduces the Static Bicycle Relocation Problem with Demand Intervals (SBRP-DI), a variant of the One Commodity Pickup and Delivery Traveling Salesman Problem (1-PDTSP). In the SBRP-DI, the stations are required to have an inventory of bicycles lying between given lower and upper bounds and initially have an inventory which does not necessarily lie between these bounds. The problem consists of redistributing the bicycles among the stations, using a single capacitated vehicle, so that the bounding constraints are satisfied and the repositioning cost is minimized. The real-world application of this problem arises in rebalancing operations for shared bicycle systems. The repositioning subproblem associated with a fixed route is shown to be a minimum cost network problem, even in the presence of handling costs. An integer programming formulation for the SBRP-DI are presented, together with valid inequalities adapted from constraints derived in the context of other routing problems and a Benders decomposition scheme. Computational results for instances adapted from the 1-PDTSP are provided for two branch-and-cut algorithms, the first one for the full formulation, and the second one with the Benders decomposition

Cimil Yaylası (Rize) Balının Melissopalinolojik ve Fiziko-Kimyasal Özellikleri
In this study, melissopalynological and physico-chemical properties of the honey produced in the Cimil Plateau
(Rize province) were examined in detail. Examined honey samples were taken from eight different beehives in
Cimil Plateau from different altitudes and localities. All samples were analyzed by standard laboratory methods to
determine moisture, sugar, proline, diastase, and 5-Hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) parameters. Also,
melissopalynological analyses were made according to the standard techniques and determined pollen composition
of the honey samples. Melissopalynological studies showed that the pollens belonged to Asteraceae, Brassicaceae,
Campanulaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Cistaceae, Ericaceae, Fabaceae, Fagaceae, Lamiaceae,
Lauraceae, Liliaceae, Onagraceae, Poaceae, Polygonaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rosaceae and Tiliaceae families. In
the sample number 6, Castanea sativa pollens which are dominant were found in proportion to 70%. The moisture
content of the samples was determined to be 16.9-19.1 %, and the proline content was found to be 568-758 mg/kg.
In sugar analysis, it was determined that Fructose was 35.36-51.4 g/100 g and Glucose was 21.35-65.78 g/100 g.
According to the results, the examined honey samples are polyfloral and monofloral. In this study, different honey
samples taken from Cimil Plateau have been investigated for the first time in detail in terms of their
melissopalynological and physico-chemical properties. It has been observed that the melissopalynological and
physico-chemical analysis results of honey samples examined are in accordance with European Union Standards
and Turkish Food Codex Honey Communiqué.
Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Campanulaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Cistaceae, Ericaceae, Fabaceae,
Metaheuristics for the traveling salesman problem with pickups, deliveries and handling costs
This paper studies the Traveling Salesman Problem with Pickups, Deliveries, and Handling Costs. The subproblem of minimizing the handling cost for a fixed route is analyzed in detail. It is solved by means of an exact dynamic programming algorithm with quadratic complexity and by an approximate linear time algorithm. Three metaheuristics integrating these solution methods are developed. These are based on tabu search, iterated local search and iterated tabu search. The three heuristics are tested and compared on instances adapted from the related literature. The results show that the combination of tabu search and exact dynamic programming performs the best, but using the approximate linear time algorithm considerably decreases the CPU time at the cost of slightly worse solution

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
