INTERDEPENDENSI SENI TARI DAN MUSIK IRINGANNYA
Interdepence of the art of dance dan its accompanying music means interrelation between the two. The performance of a dance is usually accompanied by a music, in certain occasion the performance does not use a music at all. The definition of dance usually emphasises that dance is a human expression through rhythmic and beautiful body movement and the movement is the expression of its creator to communicate directly with the audience.Body movement in a dance performance contains rhythmic elements as can be found in music, so the performance is close related to music which also contains important rhythmic elements.Music and dance has rhythm as the basis of their movement. Music can express abstract aspects of movement. It can also express the easiness and difficulty of movement. But not all music can be use to accompany a dance performance. Basically, the selection of music for a dance performance should be based on its limitation and contribution to the performanc

OUTBACK PARTS OF SOCIAL ARRANGEMENT BEING RITUAL ART STAGE IN THE MALAY PELALAWAN RIAU
This research globally examines sounds and deals with the fact that inland tribes functioned in medical rituals that were transformed into stage art entertainment. Certain sounds and movements by the Inland Tribe in medicine have meaning and importance. Why the sounds were functioned in a medical ritual which was later changed the function of medicine in the interior to stage art. How is the interaction and form in the ritual of treatment that requires sounds. Research wants to give the same social attention to art and culture to the tribal civilization, which is sometimes considered backward. This research answers the social prejudices of the transfer of treatment locations from the interior to the stage art. The research technique / method uses qualitative techniques with studies in ethnomusicology, ethnography, art anthropology and art sociology. In the study found a management system that leads to a new theory of "Performance Art for the transfer of issues regarding the existence of Malay Tribal Culture"; practically building a model of the composition of the art of the Tribal Inland tradition as a consumption of urban communities, in the context of the new art culture in the present. Outcomes Research can conclude the uplift of the Tribal Civilization both in terms of music, other arts and all aspects of art do have values that are worth showing, but on the side or behind it turns out there is a certain mission by parties related to arts and culture in the study area Malay
Introducing the Malay song Zapin "Usik- Mengusik" to Minangkabau Teenagers through SMK 2 Padang Panjang School, West Sumatra
The song Zapin Usik Mengusik is a Malay Pop song in the zapin style created by a figure from Malaysia named Naz. This song was popularized by the Lakon Senario and Haida groups in neighboring Malaysia. This song is very suitable for teenagers who are in love. The rhythm of this song is typical Malay, verse after verse like a rhyme that follows each other. The author is interested in introducing this Malay song to Minang cultured teenagers who of course hear Minang songs more often. The author rearranged this song in the form of a Malay zapin-style ensemble using traditional and modern musical instruments including electric guitar, bass guitar, jimbe drum, string (keyboard), accordion (keyboard), cajon, tambourine, gendang kompang and vocals. This qualitative research is to see the response of Minangkabau cultural teenagers to Malay culture. To obtain this response, this research was supported by lecture methods, demonstrations, training, and evaluation methods. Response indicators are obtained when teenagers in the student category gain knowledge and are able to play and perform the Malay song Zapin Usik Mengusik in a musical ensemble format at SMKN 2 Padangpanjang through the song Zapin Usik Mengusik
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
