: This study aims to discuss the characteristics of a children's book structured in the light of Bryant and Nunes' (2012) cognitive demands on Probability. We will also address the theoretical constructs that supported the development of the book and its contribution to the development of understandings about Probability, in an interdisciplinary relationship between Language and Mathematics. A children's book, entitled O Clubinho, was developed by the author of this work and by Prof. Dr. José Ivanildo Felisberto de Carvalho, with illustration by Waleska Diniz, and which presents 8 stories involving situations of draw, games and chance. In order to develop the probabilistic concepts present in the book, we based on the contributions of Bryant and Nunes (2012) who point out the cognitive demands necessary for the construction of learning in Probability, three of them being addressed: randomness, sample space and comparison/quantification of probabilities, from different probabilistic focuses related to them. The mathematical and linguistic elements present in the work were analyzed and discussed, with the main contribution being the exploration of probabilistic notions in children's family contexts, breaking away from the approach focused only on calculation procedures that marked the teaching of Probability for a long time.O presente estudo objetiva discutir as características de um livro infantil estruturado à luz das demandas cognitivas de Bryant e Nunes (2012) sobre Probabilidade.

The objective of this study is to analyse the performance of the Middle-Class Bureaucracy (BME) in the process of implementing the National Policy for Student Assistance at the University of Brasilia (UnB). Therefore, the author searches for understanding, as she depicts and what is the impact of the BME's action in this process. PNAES – instituted by the Decree 7.234 of July 19th, 2010 – is a student assistance policy for students in vulnerable conditions at undergraduate level in public federal institutions that aims for improving the conditions of permanence of vulnerable youth in federal public higher education. The decree covers the areas of housing, feeding, transportation, healthcare, digital inclusion, culture, sports, children school support, pedagogic support as well as of. access to, participation in and learning process to people with disabilities, global disorders and high skills. In addition, the policy determines that each federal institution is able to choose how to implement the financial resources allocated according to the needs of the institution and the student body. Thus, it is this particularity of the policy that enables implementers to use their discretion to implement that will motivate the choice to analyse the performance of the middle-level bureaucrat when implementing the PNAES. This work also is a case study and, methodologically, it is a qualitative-exploratory natured effort. The analytical framework adopted is public policy implementation on the role of the middle-ranking bureaucracy. Nonetheless, besides the literature review and policy document review, eight (8) semi-structured interviews were conducted with managers working or having worked in the service. In addition, an online questionnaire was made available in order to gather feedback on how the policy is managed. In all, 94 voluntary responses were collected from students with a profile for the policy (beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries because of the policy's limitations). For the analysis, Bardin's document analysis and content analysis were used. The main findings of the survey indicate that beyond the budgetary sphere and institutional constraints, two factors are crucial to the autonomy of these managers, the advancement of the policy depends greatly on the management profile and empathy for the policy

Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) is a tropical fruit of great importance in the Amazon, especially because its almonds are known mainly for their nutritional and cosmetic properties. However, cupuaçu kernels go through several stages before being stored, the most crucial of which is drying. The process of drying the kernels is a fundamental stage in guaranteeing their preservation and final quality. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the methods used to dry cupuaçú kernels, as well as to evaluate their efficiency in containers with different shapes (cubic, rectangular and cylindrical), using three techniques: oven, Air Fryer and microwave. Taking into account parameters such as the drying curve and moisture loss, identifying the most efficient method in terms of moisture reduction and preservation of final quality. The results showed that the Air Fryer drying method provided faster drying, while the container's shape directly influenced the process efficiency, with containers with larger surface areas being more effective. It is concluded that the appropriate choice of drying method and container is crucial for optimizing kernel processing, promoting conservation, and adding value to the final product.O cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) é uma fruta tropical de grande relevância na Amazônia, especialmente por suas amêndoas, são conhecidas principalmente por suas propriedades nutritivas e cosméticas.

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) belongs to the Malvaceae family and represents global importance for the commercialization and production of chocolate (APROTOSOAIE et al., 2016), being generally cultivated in West Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia (ABT et al. , 2018).According to Landau (2020), the plant can be used for human consumption, with its fruit being consumed fresh. However, the species is cultivated mainly for the use of its seeds or almonds, to produce various cocoa derivatives. The objective of the study in question is to determine the drying kinetics of cocoa beans of the variety (Criollo), at two different temperatures (50 °C, 60 °C), with an increasing time interval. The present work was developed during the first semester of 2024, in the agricultural engineering laboratory on the campus of the Federal Rural University of Amazonia (UFRA), in the municipality of Tomé-Açu/PA, with geographic coordinates of 02° 24’ 15’’S and 48° 09’ 51’’W. The results showed that despite the difference in temperature and the time spent drying the samples, both had a very similar water content. However, it was concluded that to achieve hygroscopic balance in less time, it is necessary to increase the temperature to which the samples will be subjected. The higher temperature significantly decreased the drying time, however, both temperatures achieved similar results in terms of water content in the samples. With the similarity highlighted in the results, it was found that temperature is an important factor in accelerating the drying process. drying, however it is possible that other factors influence the result.O cacau (Theobroma cacao L.) pertence à família Malvaceae e representa importância mundial para comercialização e produção de chocolate (APROTOSOAIE et al., 2016), sendo geralmente cultivado no oeste da África, América Latina e Sudeste da Ásia (ABT et al., 2018).
