    Background of this research was student do not pay attention to politeness anymore. Each of them just showed their emotions rather than etiquette in language. Moreover, the main key of etiquette is can communicate properly to the hearer and behave politely while discussion is going on. Interruption is permitted in discussion if students are aware of etiquette behavior. Purpose of this research was: (1) to describe the form of polite and impolite utterance in discussion activity based on student politeness principal active years 2016, 3 – years diploma of Solok Nursing Program Study Health Ministry Padang, and (2) to describe the politeness and impoliteness language sign. Type of this research was qualitative research by using descriptive method. There was no change in data of this research to make any symptoms or any certain aspect appear. Techniques of collecting data were: (1) observation and recording, and (2) field record. Data analyzing was conducted by using observation, recording and interview techniques. This stage would show the result of realization in politeness of language and also the deviation form of maxim politeness. There were 15 cooperative principles by Leech, 6 utterances were categorized as tact maxim, 4 utterances were categorized as generosity maxim, 3 utterances were categorized as approbation maxim, and 2 utterances were categorized as agreement maxim. </p

Bu inceleme sonucunda, Halid Said’in verdiği şekillerin büyük bir kısmının bugün de kullanıldığını; ancak, bu lehçelerde bugün kullanılmakta olan pek çok şekilden yazarın söz etmediğini tespit ettik. Yazıldığı dönem ve şartlar göz önünde bulundurularak eserdeki eksiklikler mazur görülmelidir. Sovyet Türkolojisinin ilk karşılaştırmalı gramer kitabı olmakla birlikte; yazar, imkânlar dahilinde elinden gelenin en iyisini yapmaya çalışmıştır.In this article, we studied the stuation of tenses and modals in current Turkey Turkish, Uzbek Turkish and Kazak Turkish comparatively-given in Osmanlı, Özbek, Kazak Dillerinin Mukayeseli Sarfı written by Halid Said in 1926. We have determined that a major part of the forms, that Halid Said had given, are being presently used; nevertheless, the author did not mention many forms being presently used in these dialects. The insufficiencies in the book should be excused considering the date in which the book was written and the conditions.     Servet-i Fünûn dönemi sanatçılarından Halid Ziya Uşaklıgil, Türk edebiyatında öncü niteliği taşıyan romanlarıyla, bilinçli biçimde bir zihin devrimi yapmaya çalışmıştır. Köklü bir modernleşmenin teorisiyle yetinmeyip felsefi görüşleri ve estetik zevkleri doğrultusunda yazdığı romanlarında, Mechitariste Ermeni rahip okulunda aldığı eğitimin ve hayranı olduğu Fransız yazarların, realist ve pozitivist düşünce yapısının izlerini görmek mümkündür. Bu izler sürüldüğünde, determinizm ile Hippolyte Taine‘in ırk, çevre ve an üçlemesine ulaşılır. Halid Ziya, romanları içinde tebdil-i kıyafet birer roman başkişisi olarak arz-ı endâm ederken, roman kahramanlarının hayata dair tenkitlerinden aslında her kahramanın, kılık değiştirmiş birer Halid Ziya olduğu görülür. Yerli hayatın idealize edilmesi amacıyla yapılan hayatı ve dolayısıyla insanları eleştirme, yargılama, çözümleme, değerlendirme, inceleme, gözlem faaliyetleriyle, Batılı yaşayış ve fikirler ikame edilir. Böylelikle yazarın ‗romanların hayatı yapması‘ mefkûresi, ‗Avrupaî insan‘ teklifini beraberinde getirir. Romanlarında kader, kaza, ölüm, aşk, kıskançlık, evlilik, eğitim, ırk, içgüdü, sefalet, burjuva, zenginlik, fakirlik, cinnet, hiçlik, intihar, özgürlük, öteki dil, şiir, meslek gibi hayatı kuşatan unsurları eleştirmesi, kültürel değişimin habercisi olur.Halid Ziya Uşaklıgil, the author of the period called Servet-i Fünûn, consciously, tried to make a mental revolution with his pioneer novels. He wasn‘t content with a radical modernization theory, and in his novels written with his philosophical views and aesthetic pleasure could be seen the marks of realist and positivist mentality of the French writers he adored and the results of his education in Mechitariste Armenian seminary. When these marks were traced, we could reach determinism and Hippolyte Taine‘s trinity of―race, environment and moment‖. While Halid Ziya was wandering in his novels as a main character incognito, from the life criticisms made by his protagonists it could be seen that each hero, in fact,was a Halid Ziya incognito. With the purpose of idealization of local life, Western way of life and thoughts are established with the activity of criticism, judgement, analysis, evaluation, examination and observation of the life and accordingly people. So, the ideal of ―novels form the life‖ brings along the offering ―European man‖.     Different civilizations have reigned in Afghanistan throughout history, and a new phase was entered with the establishment of the Afghanistan State in 1747. The work titled Tarihce-i Afghanistan [History of Afghanistan] written by Yenişehirlizade Halid Eyüp provides valuable information in terms of understanding the geography of the region. Yenişehirlizade Halid Eyüp, was an important writer who grew up in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, and talked in detail about the ambitions Britain and Russia had in Afghanistan. In his work, the author touched upon the geographical features, demographic structure and ethnic differences of Afghanistan, an area over which Britain and Russia competed fiercely, and also emphasized the similarities between the Ottoman Empire and Afghanistan. Yenişehirlizade Halid Eyüp was of the opinion that his work would arouse curiosity about Afghanistan in Ottoman society and that interest in the region would increase. The main purpose in this study is to understand the region from the perspective of Yenişehirlizade Halid Eyüp, who attempted to explain the different characteristics of Afghanistan. For this reason, his work titled Tarihce-i Afghanistan, which he considered his mission to introduce Afghanistan, is deemed worth examining

    Refik Halid Karay, yazdığı hikâyelerde okuyucuya gerçek hayattan kesitler sunar. Bu özelliğiyle onun eserleri birer sosyolojik vesika sayılabilir. Yazarın Yatık Emine adlı hikâyesi okura, bir hayat kadınının toplum tarafından ölüme nasıl terk edildiğini gerçekçi bir şekilde gösterir. Karay, bu hikâyede ahlak kaygısı taşıyan insanların düştüğü çelişkileri farklı bir bakış açısıyla ele alır ve toplumu dolaylı bir şekilde eleştirir. Bu çalışmada, Refik Halid’in Yatık Emine adlı hikâyesinde tespit edilen bireysel ve toplumsal ahlak problemleri üzerinde durulmuştur.Refik Halid Karay, gives the reader a real life sections in his stories. Thanks to this feature, his works can be considered a sociological document. The author&#8217;s story called Yatık Emine tells the readers how a prostitute was left to death by the society in a realistic way. Karay in this story, addresses contradiction of the people worried about morality in a different perspective and criticizes society in an indirect manner.     The problem to be discussed in this research is how the principle of language politeness in the drama play Ayahku Pulang by Usmar Ismail is reviewed from 6 maxims, namely: the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of appreciation, the maxim of simplicity, the maxim of consensus, and the maxim of sympathy. Ismail describes the struggle of a father who has the heart to leave his wife and young children in pursuit of wealth, so that he forgets his responsibility as a father to his children. speech contains the implied words in it that are interesting to research on the principles of politeness. Language politeness is a matter of showing awareness of the dignity of others in language, both when using spoken language and in written language. The purpose of this research is to describe the principles of language politeness in the drama play Ayahku Pulang karya Usmar Ismail in terms of six maxims. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data of this research are utterances in the drama play Ayahku Pulang by Usmar Ismail. The data source in this research is the drama script Ayahku Pulang. the work of Usmar Ismail. From the research data findings, the researcher found 34 data, namely: the maxim of wisdom there are 6 data, the maxim of generosity there are 6 data, the maxim of appreciation has 6 data, the maxim of simplicity has 3 data, the maxim of consensus contains 2 data, and the maxim of sympathy has 11 data. The conclusion of this research is that the maxim that is mostly found is sympathetic maxims

    This research is based on the cultural tradition of Gorontalo people who always uphold the customs of their ancestors from generation to generation. The ceremony will not be separated from every individual wherever located. The ceremony is different from each other. In Gorontalo for example, the ceremony mome'ati (pembeatan) is still very thick and still often done. This is because, it has become a woman's tradition when entering adolescence to make pembeatan or agreement. Settlement can also be made before the marriage contract. This mome'ati process is different from other traditional ceremonies, even a very unique ceremony in Gorontalo Province, in contrast to traditional ceremonies that exist in other areas. The momeati customs, which are preceded by the stages of activity, molungudu, momonto, mopoduta'a to hipe, mome'ati and mohatamu. The procession of mome'ati is a consequence of the family / parents, fostering the daughter in order to keep the inner and outer purity, with the knowledge of self-cleansing, and the guarding of her holiness in her life. The stage of the ceremony in the event / aspect of birth and youth, which is hereditary applied by the people of Gorontalo tribe. Based on the background that researchers feel interested in doing research on the early stage ahead of the implementation procession mome'ati Gorontalo people. The method used in this research is descriptive method and semiotic approach. Data were collected through observation, interview and documentation techniques.     Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh seringnya siswa mengeluh bahwa pembelajaran di kelas kurang menyenangkan. Salah satu penyebab masalah itu adalah guru belum menggunakan strategi bertutur secara baik dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripksikan dan menjelaskan strategi bertutur, konteks situasi tutur penggunaan setiap strategi bertutur, dampak penggunaan strategi bertutur terhadap kejelasan maksud penutur, dan dampak penggunaan strategi bertutur itu terhadap kesantunan berbahasa guru dalam proses pembelajaran  di SMP Perguruan Islam Ar-Risalah  Padang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian berupa rekaman tindak tutur dan hasil pengamatan tindak tutur yang dilakukan oleh siswa Ar-Risalah, dan hasil wawancara dengan guru dan siswa di SMP Perguruan Islam Ar-Risalah Padang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengikuti model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi, penyajian, dan kesimpulan tentang temuan penelitian.      Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Strategi bertutur guru dalam proses pembelajaran di SMP Perguruan Islam Ar-Risalah Padang adalah strategi bertutur terus-terang tanpa basa-basi (BTTB), strategi bertutur terus-terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan positif (BTBKP), strategi bertutur terus-terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan negatif (BTBKN), dan strategi bertutur samar-samar (BS). Dari keempat strategi bertutur yang disukai oleh siswa adalah strategi bertutur terus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan positif dan strategi bertutur terus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan negatif. Penggunaan strategi BTTB dan BTBKP berdampak atau mengakibatkan makna tindak tutur menjadi jelas. Penggunaan strategi BTBKN dan BS berdampak atau mengakibatkan makna tindak tutur kurang jelas. Penggunaan strategi BTTB dan BTBKP berdampak atau mengakibatkan makna tindak tutur terasa santun dalam konteks masalah yang dibicarakan tidak sensitif dan dalam suasana akrab atau humor.
