Amsterdam: Elsevier; 2000: 437-440.The functional assembly of FITC-Na,K-ATPase membrane fragments on a surface-modified Ta2O5 waveguide allows to investigate the directed binding of ligands by surface-confined fluorescence studies. The results allow to draw conclusions about the sidedness of interactions. The fluorescence intensity decrease observed upon the selective binding of K+ is attributed to its coordination to a site accessible from the former intracellular membrane side
High-index contrast waveguides for microparticle guidance
Design, fabrication and optimization of high refractive-index contrast Tantalum Pentoxide (Ta2O5) nanoscale waveguides are reported. The strong evanescent field in such nanoscale (150nm-250nm thick) and high-refractive index contrast (Delta.n ~ 0.65) waveguides provide an ideal integrated platform for cell/micro-particle guiding, sorting and diagnosis applications. Optical guiding velocity of 50µm/sec was obtained for 8µm microparticle with guided power of only 20mW
Fabrication of submicrometer high refractive index tantalum pentoxide waveguides for optical propulsion of microparticles
Design, fabrication, and optimization of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) waveguides to obtain low-loss guidance at a wavelength of 1070 nm are reported. The high-refractive index contrast (Δn ~ 0.65, compared to silicon oxide) of Ta2O5 allows strong confinement of light in waveguides of submicrometer thickness (200 nm), with enhanced intensity in the evanescent field. We have employed the strong evanescent field from the waveguide to propel micro-particles with higher velocity than previously reported. An optical propelling velocity of 50 µm/s was obtained for 8 µm polystyrene particles with guided power of only 20 mW

The author conducted a study of the text of Mark 4: 1-34 using qualitative research literature study using the biblical hermeneutic principle. Penulis melakukan penelitian terhadap teks Markus 4:1-34 dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif studi pustaka dengan menggunakan prinsip hermeneutik Alkitab.
