CUSTOMARY DIVORCE PRACTICES IN THE PANYABUNGAN SOCIETY: A REVIEW OF ISLAMIC LAW
Full text linkIn the Panyabungan community, customary law plays a strong role in regulating various aspects of life, including matters of divorce. However, these customary practices often do not align with the provisions of Islamic law, which has strict principles regarding divorce. This study aims to understand how customary divorce is practiced, the reasons for divorce recognized by customary law, and to compare these with the regulations of divorce in Islamic law. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with customary leaders and the community, as well as literature reviews related to Islamic law and customary practices. The results of the study indicate that although there are similarities in some basic principles, such as the mutual consent of both parties, there are significant differences in the procedures and reasons for divorce between customary law and Islamic law
Character Transformation of Naposo Nauli Bulung in Religious Practice in South Tapanuli Regency
Full text linkPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami transformasi karakter Naposo Nauli Bulung sebagai refleksi pengamalan keagamaan di Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan grounded research dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, pengumpulan data dengan metode wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan teknis analisa interpretif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa transformasi karakter Naposo Nauli Bulung yang terjadi pada masyarakat Tapanuli Selatan dipengaruhi dinamika perubahan sosial yang disebabkan oleh era globalisasi dan keterbukaan informasi serta maraknya media sosial dan game online sehingga mengakibatkan rendahnya pengamalan keagamaannya, seperti rendahnya minat membaca Alquran, sholat berjamah, dan pengajian dalam majelis ta’lim. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut diperlukan integrasi nilai-nilai agama ke dalam adat kebiasaan masyarakat serta melalui pendidikan dan motivasi dari orang tua, keluarga, tokoh adat ataupun agama dan seluruh masyarakat sehingga tercipta akhlakul karimah yang tercermin dalam sikap dan perilaku Naposo Nauli Bulung dalam mengamalkan praktik keagamaan sesuai dengan nilai-nilai qur’ani
ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVES ON ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND GOVERNMENT POLICIES ON MITIGATING THE NATURAL DISASTER IN INDONESIA
Full text linkAbstract: This article will find policy considerations in disaster mitigation planning by looking at disasters that have occurred before and Islam contributes to caring for the environment before, during and after disasters. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were obtained from secondary sources to explore conceptual and comparative perspectives. The results of this study are three, namely; Islamic teachings in the Qur'an and Hadith show guidelines for humans to preserve nature to prevent natural disasters early on. Government policy also plays an important role in preventing all possibilities that have the potential to trigger natural disasters. Finally, two factors, namely Islamic teachings and government policies in terms of preventing disasters, must create the prevention of natural disasters.Keywords: Environment, Conservation, Islam, Indonesian policy, Mitigatin
